Good hotel in the city of Dubrovnik, nice restaurant downstairs. You get a voucher for the restaurant on the arrival, the dinner with it costs 20 Eur, it is a buffet, nice and tasty food, would really recommend it. I got the voucher in October, not sure if they give it during the summer season though. Parking on site available, 12 Eur, which is OK. Overall good value for money, around 80 Eur + parking in October.

In order get to the beach you have to cross a street, it is not very busy but still a street in the city. The hotel is not very close to the Old town, around 4 KM.

The balcony overlooking the bay was great, try to get one of those when you book. The food was perfectly acceptable but the coffee machine was not that great. The pool area was really nice albeit a little crowded at times, but the sea is always very very close. if you walk along the beach to the left you find other beaches with cheaper chairs and less crowd. Buses leave very often to Dubrovnic old town, easy and cheap to get there.

Not much really, the hotel needs a renovation I guess since it has been around for many years but that does not really affect the quality of anything we as customers cared about

Great location for Sunset Beach Lapad & on the Number 4 bus route to Pila (Gate) Old Town. (€2.50 each way/adult). All the staff were very friendly & helpful, and the Waiting Staff in the restaurant were brilliant with our 3 year old & 6 month old grandchildren, & Zoran went beyond singing songs for them!🤣 Plenty of towels for the bathroom. Half board bases, the food was tasty but my preference is for food to be hotter than warm. A very good 3 star hotel!

The original building has very dated, dark rooms, but we were offered a room in the annexe which was much brighter & felt more comfortable. Pool towels were scarce so I’d recommend you take your own, which is better for the beach anyway. We had 3 rooms and there was a mix up with our daughter’s rooms but Ana on Reception did sort them out, when it was apparent a bed for the 3 year old wasn’t included in the correct room! Thank you Ana.

Firstly, my room was nice, clean, and with a beautiful view out across the bay. It wasn't really warm enough to sit out in the evenings but in the summer it must be lovely to sit out on the balcony. I like a very hard bed and this one wasn't bad at all! Breakfast is buffet style with lots of things to choose from - I'm just a cereal person so I doubled down on the CocoPops and the Hot Chocolate. Inside the hotel is nice and clean and has a friendly atmosphere. I didn't interact too much with the staff but any time we did talk they were always helpful. Wi-Fi was good and strong. The area is nice and pretty quiet; just a few minutes away is a boulevard with restaurants etc. I didn't find a good nearby supermarket but I'm sure there's one somewhere.

Nothing really, it was all good. I've seen people call it a bit old fashioned, but I thought it was quite stylish.

Zoran is the reason this hotel scores so highly. All the staff were lovely but zoran went above and beyond and was definitely the best part of this hotel, he is an asset to hotel komodor! Location is great opposite beach and 2 minutes from a bus to old town. Lovely pool area and decent sized rooms Breakfast one of the best Breakfasts buffets weve had at a hotel

Annex could do with a lift very hard to take luggage if you've got a room on the top floor Dinner was mediocre at best which was surprising seeing as the breakfast so good Cant go through reception in swim wear so trek to the bar, should maybe banish this rule or have a poolside ordering service

Overall, the hotel experience was a pleasant one. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was polite and attentive.

The breakfasts were tasty and filling, but I would have liked more variety - the menu remained the same every day. I hope the selection will become more varied in the future. I also noticed that there were often stains on clean cups, which slightly spoiled the overall impression of the table setting. I hope these little things will be taken into account in the future - otherwise everything was fine.

My booking got changed from Hotel Komodor to Hotel Vis, prior to my arrival, without any explanation from the hotel staff. Upon arrival to hotel Vis, the staff was quite nice and helpful. They even arranged for an early breakfast for me on one of the days. The breakfast was ok. No natural juices or toaster available. The hotel has direct conection to the beach and great sea views

The rooms need to be refurbished. Also, the access to the hotel is full of stairs to the main entrance and the beach, which is not suitable for people with reduced mobility. I don't know if there is an alternative. The walls of the rooms are paper-thin and you can hear almost everything that goes on in your entire floor.

We loved our stay at Hotel Komodor. We are a family of four and we had an overnight stay that we thoroughly enjoyed, and I wished we stayed longer! This is an older establishment, so some parts are a bit run down, but, the hotel is well kept and clean with a beautiful pool. We had an incredible view from our room and a good selection for breakfast and a nice dinner at the restaurant onsite. We had convenient parking, and the bus into the old town was easy and convenient from the hotel. The beach is just over the road, and the hotel is in a nice and quiet area away from too much noise. But, Hotel Komodor is also just a short walk away from a street full of restaurants, bars, arcade for kids, some shops, and a playground. We also found a lovely path near the restaurants that leads around the beach front, truly a lovely location enjoyed by us all.

Most beautiful view from my sea view room with balcony. Close to lovely beach, restaurants, cafes, bars and shops. Quiet location. Short bus journey to Dubrovnik’s Old Town. Not far from harbour to get ferry to beautiful islands. Clean. Friendly helpful staff. Nice food. Sun bathing area and outdoor pool (not heated)

Mattress very hard and uncomfortable.

Although the hotel would benefit from being redecorated/upgraded, the service is very good and genuine. The facilities are a little tired but they are kept clean and in good order. For example, the shower cubicle isn't the most modern but the water pressure is better than in a lot of trendy hotels. The breakfast is of great quality. Abundance of choice and good quality fresh produce. Loved the fresh fruit in particular.

The sunbeds around the pool are fixed to one position (ie. you can't lie flat on them).
