I like this location - easy to get to/from the airport and the city centre. Big supermarket about 10 min walk away - which has lots of pop up shops inside and a McDonalds! The hotel is easy to find and the room was very comfortable.

Not much - just a couple of small things. 1) I feel the price of breakfast for what you get is a little pricey. We went to eat at 9.30am (an hour before end of service) and quite a few hot items were gone and not replaced. The fresh bread had almost gone too. I appreciate it’s a delicate balancing act but at €26 per person I would have liked more hot options ie sausages as well as bacon. Hash browns to be replenished and fresh cut bread to be available. The nail in the coffin was that the coffee machines weren’t working well so getting a nice latte was a bit hit and miss. 2) There are no tv channels in English - cannot even select English subs. I’m happy to immerse myself in a language but occasionally it’s nice to watch something on tv in my own language.

New Hotel, with good facilities and good quality. Quiet rooms and very well decent furniture. Very near a train and metro stations. Even coming from the airport has a direct train. The surroundings are from working places, but safe and secure.

Breakfast too expensive (25€). Maybe because there aren't many options in the neighborhoods (catching a 2-3 station metro, you're in the center with less expensive options). The cleaning was ok, but refilling the toiletries isn't done (only if you ask).

We loved how close the property and all the staff! Pros- closeness to the metro, amenities (gym and sauna), friendly staff, restaurant with incredible food, the city center is about 15 minutes away Cons- it can be a bit hard to get there from the train station because of all the construction but once you are there it’s easy to get around. If you are using the train from the airport make sure to go to the Berliner Tor station. I recommend that you pack light because this station is not wheel chair accessible so there quite a few stairs! From there, you will cut through the park to get to Holiday Inn. Seems daunting at first but it’s pretty simple to get to the hotel!

I had a great stay at the Holiday Inn in a standard queen room with breakfast included. The room was very clean and cozy, and the bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. The breakfast was delicious with a variety of options. Overall, a fantastic experience—highly recommended!

On the second morning, the room was not cleaned, which was inconvenient. Additionally, the breakfast area was quite crowded, and it seemed like there were not enough staff to handle the number of guests, making the experience feel a bit chaotic.

The building was new, and the room was clean. I also liked the atmosphere of the lobby and sitting area. The staff were nice and helpful. Breakfast was good, though the 25-euro price made me consider other options. I paid 89 euros per night for the room (without breakfast), and I believe it was fair compared to other available options in Hamburg.

The location was far from the city center, so if you want to enjoy a stroll to the main pedestrian areas and the most touristic parts of the city, this hotel might not be the best choice. Additionally, breakfast was quite expensive, and the absence of a fried egg—often the highlight of hotel breakfasts—was disappointing. The room lacked a fridge, which was another letdown. I also expected at least one complimentary bottle of water in the room, as most hotels in this price range typically provide it.

The location was great. S-Bahn and U-Bahn both go over Berliner Tor, it's a lot like being close to the Hbf in terms of ease of getting around -- makes sense, it's one stop away. Thanks to staying here, I saw a few parts of town I hadn't seen even when living there, which was nice. We always appreciate hotels that have a Sauna.

There's some serious construction going on at Berliner Tor. It makes the time to/from the stop a bit longer than expected.

The hotel exceeded our expectations. The room was comfortable and spacious, the reception personnel was helpful and well-informed and the food was very good. In particular, the breakfast included warm and cold dishes, including but not limited to scrambled egg and bacon, smoked salmon, and local specialties such as Franzbrötchen. We arrived in the afternoon hungry and tried the hotel restaurant and were surprised that the food was quite tasty and reasonably priced. The hotel has two saunas (one 90 degree Finnish sauna - having lived in Finland, I can attest to it being of proper heat - and one 60 degree sauna) and one could ask to have them heated up even during the day. There are two nice adjustable laying chairs in the area next to the saunas, which are nice to lay on in between sauna sessions. Overall, a very nice experience and a pleasant stay.

The room cleaners woke us up at 8:30 on the departure day and tried again to come for room cleaning around 10 AM even though we clearly had not checked out yet. This was our only minor complaint about the stay.

The room was clean and nicely decorated. The staff were polite and helpful. Nice restaurant with a great breakfast as well. A wide variety of options were provided for breakfast and all had satisfactory quality.

There is ~ 8-10 min walk from the Hotel to the closest train station, Berliner Tor. The path is not a straight sidewalk, you may need to cross a park and a dusty, uneasy road. For us, it was absolutely fine, but people with disabilities might want to consider that.

The hotel is modern and clean, in a good location 10 minutes' walk from Berliner Tor station (underground trains and also S-bahn over ground to the airport). The staff were very friendly and helpful The breakfasts were excellent with a mixture of German and British foods. Despite being from a machine, the coffee was also good.

There is construction work going on in the street between the hotel and railway station but it is a minor nuisance and outside the hotel's control. The hotel has recently gone "cash free", which didn't cause me a problem but I disagree with the policy in principle.
