Central location with excellent breakfast and friendly staff, reception is open 24 hours, great Turkish and Eastern restaurant & shopping opportunities in the area.

The sorroundings of the hotel are very niosy and busy, with a lots of shady people walking around, drinking and yelling. Although there wasn't any confrontation. It is safe, since a police precinct is nearby.

Perfect delicious breakfast buffet and the very nice and efficient restaurant staff made such an excellent job in keeping it nice and inviting all the time even though you arrived late for breakfast. Stayed in a fairly big single room with a comfortable bed and with a nice private bathroom and shower. I was in the 4 floor and in the back of the building so very quiet and absolutely no noise from the street Steindamm. The location is VERY central close to both Hamburg Mainstation and the ZOB buss depot and excellent shopping in Monckebergstrasse.

The people using/hanging out around Steindamm and the pornshops can be a challenge to some but to me it was easy to ignore and besides the maindoor to the hotel always locked until you press the button and then the reception will open very fast. The TV package was a little limited and the channels available was spread out i no order.

location was excellent. It was close to transit and there were many restaurants nearby. Breakfast was okay, not a lot of variety and it was all cold. Staff was very friendly.

Mattress wasn't much softer than a bed of concrete but I suffer from chronic leg pain so it was hard to sleep

Had very friendly staff who were accommodating and offering me help. I had the first room which was on first floor and I asked to be moved to a higher floor because I suffer from insects bites which I did in the first 2 nights

The location and lack of security Front door was opened without checking who was ringing. The place they are based is a it off because constantly police were coming or around

Clean and breakfast was good

The location, right next door to a sex shop. Sex workers stood right outside hotel. I saw more than one drug transaction take place. Felt rather intimidated by the people. Didn’t feel safe in the area due to many unsavoury characters.

Affordable room at great location close to the train station. A lot of restaurants and a couple of supermarkets close by. A good variety for breakfast. The (small) elevator was helpful.

We only stayed one night, came late and left early. Don't really have anything to complain about, other than maybe that the pillows were just alright.

This hotel is very basic. But in the category 'basic' it is OK. The neighourhood is not the best one. But so very close to the railroadstation that for us, traveling by train, it was a great location. You do get your value for money when you know this hotel is basic and nothing more than that.

We did not like the neighbourhood.

First, yes, it is in the red light district I didn't know until my friend and I, both female, turned up. We had a delay in our train trip back to Hamburg where we needed to change trains, since it was already extremely late, we booked this place. Yes there were weird people outside on the streets. Yes the facilities were shared (shared toilet ans shower for the floor) However, for this price I really need to say it was exceptional because the room was comfortable enough, there was a toilet and shower with hot water for everyone on the same floor to share, there was a lott albeit a small one, and buffet breakfast was included. The buffet breakfast wasn't bad either! So all things considered, it exceeded my expectations.

I guess the vibe of the area, but it's not their fault and it's fine by day.

The proximity to the bus and train station, the breakfast and the size, comfort and cleanliness of the family room on the 5th floor

My only major criticism is that the smoke alarm had been removed

The staff were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was good, almost everything that you would like to have, there were so many choices. The room was cosy and clean.

One of the windows has a small problem at one of the winches so we could hear the street ambiance.
