I stayed here at the end of May/start of June and overall really liked it. The room was small for two people but clean and comfy. View from the window was amazing, right onto a cathedral. Bathroom was clean and well-maintained, which I appreciated. I also liked that I could leave my luggage at the hotel for as long as I needed before heading to the airport or train station. And the location is perfect — literally inside the station building, which was super convenient.

The only downside was the lighting — it was a bit too dark for me. The carpet didn’t feel super fresh — not dirty, just a bit worn.

Perfect location. The back door at reception leads straight into the Cologne HBF railway station. The hotel is directly across maktplatz from the cathedral. Breakfast was great. The room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. Had an excellent night's sleep. There is a bar just around the corner who do the pork hocks - simply outstanding (and the kolsch beer is pretty damned good as well).

The only challenge was getting there by car to drop our bags off. Every parking spot was occupied by either taxis or police vehicles.

My second stay in this Hotel. It is situated right next to the Main Railway Station, and is across from Cologne Cathedral. Check in was quick and efficient. All Staff were very nice and helpful. My room like my last visit was on the fourth floor. The room was clean and comfortable, it has air con. My room was cleaned every day. Breakfast Buffet is nice . For snacks there are plenty of places in the Railway Station.

There was nothing I disliked

Staff spoke English and were very helpful, allowing me to check in early and leave luggage for a few hours after checking out (they have a locked room for this purpose). Location couldn't be better, directly next to the Hauptbahnhof and with a great view of the cathedral from my window. The room was clean and comfortable, as was the bed - I am very fussy about beds and pillows but have no complaints here!

Breakfast was expensive for a basic buffet. It's unlimited so if you've got a huge appetite you might get your money's worth, but I basically paid over €10 for a couple of bits of toast and a pain-au-chocolate... A cheaper alternative would be to go to Rewe in the station which has a better range of pastries.

The breakfast was outstanding and the location inside of the Cologne train station made it super convenient for rail travelers. The cathedral and shopping district are nearby. Accommodations are simple, clean and quiet as one would expect from the Ibis hotel chain. The staff were very professional and friendly during our visit.

Some of the bathroom amenities could use an upgrade. There were limited setting levels to adjust the heating in the room which during our stay was uncomfortably warm.

Brilliant location when travelling by train as the hotel can be accessed from Koln Hbf station complex. The room was small but had everything we needed and the breakfast was very good. The staff were exceptional and the man on duty the evening we arrived recommended a good place for us to eat. All of the staff were friendly and kind.

Nothing really although the rooms could have been a bit larger.

We picked this hotel for it's location in the main train station and adjacent to the Cathedral. We had one night and an early morning train. So we were able to see the Cathedral. take a walk in the old town, have dinner and get a good night's rest and catch our morning train. Staff was welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was great.

I can't think of anything that I did not like.

Great location right next to the main train station and with a view of the astonishingly beautiful cathedral. Although it's a budget hotel it was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The bed was just right.

The only thing that would have improved our one-night stay would have been a kettle in the room. I like tea. There's several cafes just outside, though.

Excellent location for the train station as the hotel is literally in the train station. We travelled into Cologne by train before heading to Dortmund by train for the England versus Netherlands game at the Euros, so the hotel location was brilliant. Also the hotel is located next to the square with cafes/bars and the Cathedral so also excellent location.

Rooms were very small albeit very functional for just 2 nights.

The location is really ideal (especially if you travel by train), as it could not be closer to the train station. It is also right in the city center and the hotel actually faces the cathedral, which is really lovely! The breakfast is very good, and there is a lot to choose from The staff was very friendly and accommodating (regarding check-out time and breakfast time) The bed was very comfortable It was also very calm

It was rather expensive, and it might not be completely worth it as there is nothing exceptional about the room - it is all very simple. I guess that it is mainly due to the location, and it is true that it could not be closer to the city center and the train station but still, it is a bit much so the value for money is not great
