It has been many years since we stayed in a Holiday Inn and will not hesitate to do so regularly from now on. We could not fault the service, the location, the comfort and the breakfast. Our room was exceptionally well designed, spacious and with high quality fixtures and fittings . It was totally soundproof despite its location next to the railway station. There are cafes and restaurants everywhere and plenty to do and see if you have time to walk around. We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay and were able to leave our bags while we explored the next morning.

A fridge in the room would have made a difference.

The hotel location is superb with a direct entry to the Mannheim Hbf South entrance. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean and very well maintained. The rooms are sound proof and you don't hear the disturbance due to the station in vicinity. The reception and dining area is spacious as well with good aesthetics. The breakfast spread was vast and they baked gluten free breads on demand, due to my gluten intolerance. They had a good combination of cold cuts and warm servings.

Some of the staff members felt a bit naive and not friendly. Something to improve in an otherwise excellent stay.

The whole hotel is new, very modern and stylish... there is even a coworking space in the spacious reception area. The meeting room we used was also modern and well equipped. In my room, I liked the fact the fact that the shower had a door (in many other hotels there is an open side, modern but cold!) and the plug in the sink worked so I could enjoy my wet shave (in many other hotels, the water seeps away).

The hotel is next to the main station... not as down market as in Frankfurt, but not ideal, although it is practical if you arrive or leave by train, as I did. The breakfast selection was good but there were no wholemeal rolls, which I missed, and no vegan yoghurt.

The staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had the best possible stay! When we checked in, the receptionist also told us about a couple of spots we would probably need to know about for longer stay trips like the nearest laundromat (because hotel cleaning services are quite costly) completely unprompted, so that was a lovely experience. We've also had lovely service and conversations with almost all the staff we met and interacted with, and it was such a pleasant stay. The location is also exceptionally convenient, being near the central Mannheim station as well as to multiple tram stops. Indirect interactions with the housecleaning were also fun when we would return to the room, and our toys would be tucked under the covers or in fun little poses.

We had a very good stay here, the room is so comfortable and spacious. It even had a couch! All that for only 70 euro per night! The hotel is right next to the train station. To get to the hotel, you do need to go through the train station tunnel, and there are four (drunken) bums living there. So that's safe enough at most hours of the day, even in the late evening, because Mannheim is very busy train station, but I wouldn't like to arrive at 4 AM in the morning or something. This hotel is very well suited for train travellers though. Would definately recommend!

Breakfast starts at 7:00 and it costs a whopping 19 euros per person, so we skipped that. Plenty of breakfast options at the train station, even in the early hours of the day.

The location of this hotel right next to the station is ideal for those travelling by train. The room was modern, spacious and spotlessly clean. The staff were very polite and friendly. Despite the proximity to the station the room was quiet. I didn't have breakfast in the hotel so I can't comment on that.

A small fridge in the room would have been useful, but the hotel was excellent and that is a minor detail.

Nothing!! Maybe just my fault but more of an explanation on how to get there from the train station and only stairs, no lift! But I’m sure if you rang someone could help. The location was great, especially as a stop over when traveling long distance by train.

Best feature for travellers is its location, beside the Hbf - perfect for me. Comfortable room, pleasant staff.

Breakfast costing 22 Euro was not value for money Shower water didn't drain away properly, even when I removed the grill, resulting in a lot of water on the floor

Nice & helpful staff, early check-in was possible without additional fee, very nice hotel room, very clean, good location for that price point (15 min by feet to „Wasserturm“), you get toothbrushes and other stuff for free if you forgot it, pillow can be replaced by a softer one, diverse breakfast

Rooms are very spacious, comfortable and nicely designed. Area is quiet and seems safe. Very reasonably priced drinks at the bar. Staff were nice Good value for money

Only the highest level of room has a fridge (I know because my friend was in one). House keeping staff entered the room, ignoring the Do Not Disturb sign and said they were told the room was being checked out that day (it wasn't). Bar in the lobby doesn't always have someone working it, so long wait times.
