A great location. Close enough to walk to most of the sights and attractions, and close to public transport links if you prefer not to walk. The rooms are pleasant to be in and the bar area has a nice ambience. The staff were always friendly. We had a couple of issues while we were there and they were dealt with efficiently and with good humour.

The toilet was a very small room. You could easily feel claustrophobic in there and if you have long legs would struggle to fit between the toilet and the door. The app they encourage you to use to request cleaning or replacement soap etc seemed to work, but the requests were never met.

The room was very well designed. Very comfortable for 2 people. Lots of hooks and storage as well as a small seating area. The restaurant and bar were comfortable places to relax after a long day.

The hotel felt a bit under staffed at peak hours. The restaurant/bar and front desk were in the same place and staffed by the same people. This made getting served at the restaurant and asking questions challenging, as I hade to wait quite a long time on several occasions. All staff very very friendly and knowledgeable - there just were not enough of them at certain times of the day.

Cool funky vibe! Two bars on site (at least the main floor one is fine for kids to eat at). Rooms are the standard basic setup with a few bonuses like the light around the bottom of the bed that lights up at night when your feet hit the floor so you can see your way in the dark to the bathroom.

We had issues with the air turning off during the night, which then had us waking up in the middle of the night drenched in sweat. Couldn’t ever get it to not turn off. Also, we left something behind and immediately reached out to the hotel but never got a response.

Lovely, well designed, comfortable room with a little terrace/balcony where you could even have a little open air fire going! Fabulous breakfast with a large choice of good quality yummies!! Very thoughtfully had lights under the bed which lit up the minute you dangled your feet down so that you could walk around the room without having to turn any lights on at night which turned themselves off automatically. Very comfortable bed and perfect heating. Wonderful cosmetics in the room. Plugs by the bed.

The self closing heavy fire door to the toilet was arduous at best, irritating at worst! Lovely as the shower and water pressure were the shower head was an odd shape and unable to move up and down which was extremely irritating and uncomfortable. The overhead shower pressure was not so good. The birds sounds coming from the corridor 24/7 was irritating plus there was door banging type noise coming from the corridor at night at intervals. Self check in was somewhat impersonal. Its nice to be welcomed by a person!

Well-situated in a charming neighbourhood close to interesting attractions. The hotel is an acceptable 20-min walk from the main train station and close to transit. The Old Town attractions are easily reached by foot via Sedlinger Tor. The hotel is modern, well-designed and their attention to detail is apparent. Complimentary water and fruits are provided at the bar, a whimsical common space, which opens up to a courtyard garden. The self check-in and out was simple and straightforward.

Our travel group really appreciated the spacious room upgrade and genuinely enjoyed our stay. However, we noticed a few minor things that could be improved. There was a lack of lighting in the suite, possibly due to dimmer lightbulbs, which made for darker evenings. The plants were a thoughtful addition, but a bit neglected, which attracted some tiny flies. There was no toilet roll holder and no hooks in the bathroom for hanging, which was slightly inconvenient.

The hotel is very nice, with a wild/nature decoration. The corridors have the sounds of birds and it's really nice. The location is great, you are at 10-15min from the center and you have a lot of transportation around. The bed was very big and comfortable, the shower works very well and the staff is all friendly. The bar has good options to eat.

The rooms aren't very big and don't have much storage for luggage and clothes so if you have a lot of it probably isn't the best option. The A/C does some noise. There is no food, kettle or anything in the room. The room is basically the WC, Shower and lavatory in the entry, the bed after separated with a curtain a bed, TV and a little bench in the window. There was also some work in the building so the view was to the scaffolding.

Perfect central location, low key yet vibrant ambience, gracious and accommodating staff, excellent restaurant, excellent breakfast (included with our reservation) with healthy and organic food choices - the only criticism I would make is that the room lighting was not great - too much overhead lighting casting shadows in bath and room - this seems to be typical all over though and is really a small thing. (But I do wish the / more interior designers could figure out how to make the lighting more flattering and useful for reading, checking makeup etc. ).

Room is VERY comfortable. I booked the cheapest one, so it was small-ish in space, but it’s so well designed that it doesn’t feel tight. From the photos, I really was not expecting the room to be so greatly designed. Bed is amazing, shower is incredible and breakfast (which you can choose to pay for without booking, day by day) is very good. The pinsa bar downstairs is cool and serves amazing drinks (with a nice happy hour discount). Location-wise, it’s very walkable to Marienplatz and even closer to hype restaurants and bars in the Glockenbachviertel neighborhood.

We stayed in room 420 and loved it. Very clean, spacious and well furnished. Staff was extremely pleasant and courteous to us and other patrons. The breakfas wast was fabalous and offered a large variety of dishes. We will definitely return to Cocoon Salinger Tor and have great memories of our stay there. We also loved the decor of the whole place and was quite unique!

I love potatoes with my eggs in the morning and only offered it 1 out 6 days of our stay.

Lovely vibe with fantastic staff. Really nice reception and bar area. Close to ubahn and loads of restaurants. The hideaway cocoon was an amazing room.

In our triple room the air con didn’t work and blew out hot air. We asked for it to be fixed on the first day but still wasn’t by the third. We were offered a fan but it never arrived. Room 117 was also above the delivery area and 3am most mornings was a long delivery of something that woke up the kids.
