Location is perfect to the popular sightseeings around downtown. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Valet parking is costly but convenient provided by friendly staff. Our room with kichen and two beds is my like. And the small fitness room with rowing machine and spin bike is also my favourate. I also love the cozy lobby for a short time waiting area. I like the free coffee machine which I drank every day.

The worst part is the noise from the street at night. We lived on the 2nd floor and have a street view, which is good. But it's extremely noise and frustrusating to hear trucks running and people's shouting every night. It's louder than the noise coming from our washroom. I believe it's not hard to replace the windows with a better double-layer noice proof ones. Everything else in the room looks being rennovated, but not the windows. The 2nd part to improve is the fan in the bathroom, which functions like making noise only but not really working for bringing the air out of the bathroom.

The location is excellent for cruising downtown spots: close to the water and many excellent restaurants and shops. The room was small but well appointed and very clean. The king bed was great - also the pillows. We chose the valet service for our vehicle and were glad we did. Our vehicle was promptly supplied when we needed it, and the hassle of parking in an unfamiliar setting was avoided. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.

It is a bit noisy, which is to be expected in a downtown location. The management generously supplied ear plugs - a great touch!

For a family of 5 it was perfect experience, everything was super close and own little kitchen helped a ton. The best part is definetly location, we were able to walk to all places we wanted to visit! Staff is the best: very friendly and shows how much they care. Text messages with questions about our experience 3 time a day was unexpected, but great strategy to make our stay comfortable as much as possible.

Parking. It was too expensive for valet parking. I wish there was an underground dedicated parking for random use of my car. Parking in city was a little annoying. Parking with Valet option was great but too expensive. Marriott offers 16 dollars for parking.

The size of the room was exceptional, and the staff was cheery and accomodating. I liked that they have laundry facilities and that they checked on us through texts frequently to ensure we had everything we needed.

Location was the both good and bad. We were close to downtown which was fabulous! Walking everywhere was so easy! However, the opposite direction and a half block away is Douglas Street which was pretty sketchy at night. Lots of homeless and people who appeared to be on drugs. But if you stay away from there, you’ll never know it exists.

The location and parking was valet. I stayed at another hotel nearby but they had only self parking and you had to park a couple of blocks away (I understand that in older cities like Victoria you cant always have parking underground like you would in some bigger hotels). It had a nice desk and loby. There was a desk in the lobby if you need to work on your computer

I wish the TV supported AirPlay or screen casting. It had the option but it just didn’t work for my iPhone or Windows PC. Also the remote was not the best - it was not TV brand but a custom one made for hotels. The TV had a browser and youtube installed but navigating and typing with that remote was tedious

Convenient location: Situated in the heart of downtown, with close proximity to Chinatown, the Wharf. The hotel was right near the corner of Douglas Street, with easy access to buses to Parliament, UVic or the Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal. Efficient check-in/out: The staff at Carlton Plaza Hotel made the process quick and hassle-free. Room and amenities: The rooms are spacious enough for two people. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel offers all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. A small kitchenette with a fridge and coffee machine is available. A decent-sized shower area with soap and shampoo provided.

Additional kits: Only soap and shampoo is provided. Guests need to request extra toiletry kits (toothbrushes) from the front desk or housekeeping. Water bottles: As part of Carlton Plaza Hotel's green efforts, no water bottles are provided in the rooms. Do bring your own bottles or use the refill station in the lobby.

The location was great, you could easily walk to the waterfront or a restaurant for a meal. The rooms aren't the biggest, but they had a nice closet, and the beds were very comfortable. The front staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful.

There is no microwave in the room, so you have to go down to the first floor to a room with a microwave, an ice machine, and laundry machines.

Nice room, comfortable. Ok Bathroom. It's very well situated. The staff is friendly and helpful if you ask about how to get to touristic areas. They have a very fancy coffee machine and it's free.

It's probably the best hotel in the area, it's just too expensive for a single night in our opinion. We stayed in a nice Hotel in the center of Paris for less. Breakfast not included. It doesn't have Netflix or another streaming service, only live cable.

The reception staff and the housekeeping teams were exceptional. Beyond kind, beyond friendly.

I liked everything about the property. The only thing that was slightly substandard was the toilet in unit 409 did not flush properly. It had very weak drainage. Otherwise, everything was absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately, Victoria is expensive so the room was priced accordingly. However, it was the most affordable of what was available and I did receive a complementary upgrade, which was amazing.

Great value and well located with valet parking at reasonable cost. The hotel room was fine and staff professional and friendly.

Strange kitchenette in the room with massive fridge/freezer that we unplugged because it hummed all night and old style cooker with absolutely no pots/pans etc to make use of it? I think you either need to update the kitchen or take it out and just provide a small fridge/microwave and kettle?
