Location is great with a small market and a lot of restaurants close by. The atmosphere of the surrounding area is lively at night, but the room remains quiet. The room itself is quite nice, renovated, although the renovation was a little rough around the edges. Breakfast was plentiful and varied with some changes day by day. Food was replenished sufficiently. Service was good, including easy arranging of airport transfers.

The rooms are quite small and this was the junior suite with the bathroom layout not quite right as it is tight. The cleaning sometimes lacked a good vacuuming of carpets.

Amazing views from higher floors (we were on floor 17), good breakfast with great variety, friendly staff, good beds, despite being a little hard. Great location in Dostyk avenue, frim where you can get to many touristic sights.

The hotel is well maintained, but could use some more little maintenance. Sometimes quite long waiting time at the elevators, but makes sense as there are many floors and tye hotel seemed to be fully booked when we were there. The staff situation doesn’t seem to be very efficient. There is way too much staff for the work that needs to be done (restaurant for example), which leads then to “hang around” instead of work. Some staff, especially younger girls are too much on their phones, which to me personally doesn’t look very professional. Suggestion: less staff needed for waitressing work and teach them other tasks. Also it could be a good idea to provide staff with basic knowledge of English, as there are more and more international tourists coming.

The location was good. The rooms were clean and basic toiletries were provided.

We had booked a queen suite with 2 rooms and we were shocked to see that one room had no AC . On complaining we were told that they can only give us a table fan but even that was not provided.. we somehow managed to spend 2 nights by keeping the ac on really cool so that the non ac room could feel a little cool. The 2 who slept in the ac room had to bear with the extra cold effect! This should have been specified in the details on the site. The other issue was that the bathtub was so high that it was difficult for senior citizens to get in and out! And the lifts were so complicated that it used to take us ages to go up or down!

Lovely room with two double beds in seperate booths. Spotlessly clean, lots of amenities included. Bathroom was superb. Wifi, TV and aircon worked well. Staff were friendly and helpful, allowed us to store baggage before and after stay. Breakfast was excellent, large choice and fresh with eggs cooked to order. Location is excellent for centre of Almaty. An atmospheric hotel, iconic Soviet architecture on outside whilst modern and more luxurious than expected inside. Junior Premium room was good value compared to other options. A good stay for a night or two.

No mosquito nets on windows (though aircon worked well). Could say it's priced at a premium - similar to modern luxury chains and far higher than comparable alternatives - (but we didn't mind that for one night only to stay here).

Accessible to restaurants and tourist spots. We got the refurbished room.

Room is on the cozier/small side Buffet breakfast- the coffee machine should be removed from where the reception/hostess is. This must be moved to where the other coffee machine is.This is blocking access and causing huge queue. Food- good that there is variety bu Improve the quality and taste of the food ie pasta lacks sauce, some food are bland. Provide and be quick in replenishments of plates. As breakfast gets busy, ensure adequate staff to promptly clean tables and replenish cutleries etc. Provide alternative milks or lactose free milk for lactose intolerant guests. Remove the security scanner and the barrier as it its just an obstacle. No security checking people coming in anyways.

Excellent location in the city centre, all points of interest in walking distance. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Friendly hotel staff. Comfortable bed, great view over the mountains. All in all a nice and cozy room. Coffee and tea provided in the rooms, free water provided.

The by far biggest disadvantage at the beginning: There is a big and noisy party area in the first floor with massive bass boxes and extreme loud music. Parties during every night of our stay until the morning hours. Absolutely impossible to sleep with windows opened. The AC in our room always had the same power and temperature and it was not possible to adjust it. The furniture in our bathroom almost fell apart and it was not possible to turn off the bathroom heater.

My room was on the 25th floor but I expect all rooms have pretty great views. The design of the hotel is magnificent and I wish they still built them that way. The architecture of the arrival sequence makes you feel important! the breakfast is fantastic and served in a very nice, cheerful mezzanine area overlooking the lobby. I dined at two of the returants that are associated with the hotel, Ziyafet and Noodles. Both were very good.

As I understand, some rooms have been modernized. I believe I was accommodated in one that hadn't been and, although very comfortable, it felt a bit austere and dated. Being directly beneath the top floor restaurant/bar, I could hear a bit of noise coming from upstairs.

The location of the hotel is perfect it’s near all the important attractions . Staff was helpful specially Farman he helped us a lot all through the trip. We had a pleasant stay and it was a good value for money. I liked that they had a money exchange within the hotel that’s a smart move.

The room is very small I wish it was a bit bigger. I really wished that they had a spa. If they renew the hotel it would be perfect. At night it was really hard to get any kind of room service. The breakfast could use more varieties.

Overall, this is my second experience at this hotel. Everything is great: the breakfast, the location, the view. I would like to thank Farman, who provides all the assistance to the guests. The right time must be chosen for maintenance work.

The rooms are very comfortable. Big breakfast buffet. Very competent receptionists. Mini market in the hotel for great convenience. The view from the room on Kim Tobe was very nice. The location is very central. It’s cool to stay in a hotel which is one of almatys biggest sights :)

The hotel doesn’t have a pool and also roof top is only accessible with a dress code and entrance fee. The warm water broke down for a day when we were there which left us with a cold shower. In general it took over 5 minutes to get warm water in the shower. The fridge in the room was super loud but luckily I could turn it off manually.
