Location and gym. Most of all, the wash and fold laundry service. It made so much sense - who needs a sports T to be pressed like what normal hotel laundry offers. We appreciate the complimentary slice of birthday cake provided for birthday girl and hotel being able to arrange paid balloon decorations for the room

There was no directional sign at the Ground floor and no one to help with luggage or direct us to hotel reception which was on the 3rd floor. The staff only appeared much later. Not a 5-star reception we expected. The room service food tasted awful and came after 1.5 hours. The staff offered a complimentary fruit platter to make up for the wait. Gym lacks quad and hamstring machines. Rowing machine battery not changed despite us informing reception. Room temperature perpetually stuck at 17 degree celcius. After technician came, it went up to 21-22 degrees. It was a freezing uncomfortable stay. Housekeeping didn’t give bath towel on checkin, didn’t provide hand towel and floor mat on other days.

The staff was accommodating and exceptional in customer service. From Housekeeping to Front Desk and Bell Counter, everyone greets with a warm smile. They obliged my request for a printed receipt of my hotel stay although I booked with Booking.com. Initially during my check in on Day 1, the male staff was adamant that no receipt will be issued. But after writing to both Booking.com and to the Hotel, they obliged when I asked during check out. The location is excellent. Next to Gurney Plaza n close proximity to Gurney Paragon. Lots of restaurants, cafes, bistros and pubs just downstairs n not forgetting a supermarket in the Mall. The twin Deluxe Room was spacious. Mini bar has soft drinks n chocolates all FOC n replenished daily. I like it that the study area is separated from the bedroom for privacy.

The thermostat in the room 820 doesn't seem to control the temperature. We adjusted to 25°C but it was still very cold. That little step down into the bathroom. Seniors must be careful. I placed a white pair of bedroom slippers at the entrance to remind ourselves especially middle of the night.

Location was good. Many restaurant choices. Beds were VERY comfortable. Breakfast was also much better then most places. Even the croissants were fresh and done well. They also helpedto extend our check-out to 2pm. They were very accomodating.

My daughter had stomach upset & had to get medical aid. We returned from the hospital at about 10:15pm and requested the hotel restaurant (168) for toast & jam. Unfortunately, they DID NOT accomodate our simple request despite the fact that we know they have toast for breakfast everyday. We had to search for toast in the mall next door. Nevertheless, the Manager did apologise the next morning. Apology accepted. On another note, they should provide feeder bus to local attractions.

Room was very spacious and given that we're travelling with our 9yr old son, we requested an extra bed which fits very well in the spacious room still leaving plenty of room for us to move around. The room and the hotel common areas are also well maintained and clean. Location is amazing, nestled in between Gurney Plaza and Gurney Paragon shopping malls and 5 mins walk away from the food heaven, Gurney Drive. Staffs were all friendly, helpful and smiled alot at us. Breakfast buffet had a good variety and tastes good. We used the gym and the swimming pool as well and we loved them both. Gym was very well-equipped with all the necessities, towels, water etc. Will stay at this hotel again the next time we're in Penang. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for making our stay a memorable one.

Location is next to a major and modern mall.lift drops you right at the restaurants and cafes. The pool was large and floaties a great bonus touch. Great for our kids as they would socialise with other guest kids and there spent of space for them to play, the water feature ends up being part of their playground. Staff were very accomodating and helpful. Breakfast included in room price which offers plenty for the fussy eater. Our room came with executive lounge access which can get busy at 6pm it has a small but satisfying selection of snacks and basic selection of drinks. Still very nice and great for a sundowner with a view.

It was great I don’t have much to complain, but if anything and to be picky, the sofa in our room was not vacuumed thoroughly under and side of the seating pillows.

Room was very spacious. Love where the desk is…behind the bed, so plenty of room to work without disturbing my wife in bed. 24hr Gym was big with plenty of new equipment and easy access. Swimming pool and jacuzzi. Breakfast was very reasonable…RM$30! Great location.

Disappointed with lack of bathroom amenities…even comb and shaver need to be asked to deliver. The safe was located right at the bottom close to the floor making accessible difficult. Swimming pool is out in the open making it hard to use in the rain…and Penang rains alot and often! Breakfast buffet seriously lack varieties. I know there lots of Muslims in Malaysia, but tourists are mostly Chinese and Westerners…no pork and beef on the menu is very limited in choice!

Just an absolutely stellar hotel. We've been back every time we've visited Penang. Unbeatable location right beside Gurney Plaza with access to food, shopping, entertainment and easy to catch up with family and friends. Amenities were bar none. The breakfast buffet provided an impeccable selection of food. We travelled with a toddler and had everything catered for - full size fridge & freezer, kid cutlery and the breakfast buffet had the amazing variety to cater to a toddler's ever changing mind while also allowing us to sample local favourites

I'm glad i chose this hotel right at the centre of Penang. Connected to Gurney Plaza. The elevator will take you down from your room right to the amazing eateries in the Ground Floor. All the staff were amazing from security, concierge, reception, executive lounge and the restaurants, housekeeping, laundry, bar etc Executive lounge with varieties of snacks and drinks with free access for kids. Kids pool with floaters. Breakfast spread were great! Very big bathroom with 3 separate area including bath tub. They welcome you with ice cream in the reception. Walking distance to Padang Kota (Chinese Hawkers) and short distance to other city attractions by car/grab. I regret I didn't take much photos to share

Room was spacious and comfortable. However the room needs proper cleaning as could see a layer of dust on the surface, minor things which could be improved.Musky smell at the coach, can be trigger to those with allergic rhinitis. Location is definitely ideal. public washrooms were clean. breakfast spread was fair, not much option for vegetarians. However, upon request vegetarian noodles were prepared. breakfast could be improved, providing more options for vegetarians/vegans. also option of providing non dairy milk upon request would be appreciated.

The biggest plus point is its excellent location, just a short walk to Gurney plaza, which made shopping and dining incredibly convenient. There are plenty of dining options nearby, ranging from local favorites to international cuisine, and numerous outlets to shop to your heart’s content.

The room was abit dusty when I first entered, which affected the initial impression. Also, the complimentary coffee capsule that was supposed to be provided wasn’t available, which was a small let down.
