Beautiful old hotel with an old-time charm located very near to sights in Rotterdam. The staff were sooooo friendly and helpful. We were not happy with our room and with no issue they changed it for us. The breakfast was the most extensive we had in our entire three week stay in Europe - there was everything! Rooms are modern with nice size bath rooms and a desk area. Beds comfortable with quality linen. Good quality wifi.

There is no restaurant to have lunch / dinner but there is a small shop in the foyer. Sometimes you don't want to go out and then it's nice to have a restaurant on site. really enjoyed our stay which was made so much more enjoyable by the friendly and helpful staff.

The hotel location is perfect for local shopping and restaurants. The room was bigger than I thought having booked a superior room lots of space for our little one to run around. Ear plugs beside the bed for if the road noise was loud, that was a nice touch. Bathrobes and sippers to use while in the room. I would return again.

Breakfast a bit sparce and the hot option looked like it has been stood all morning and just moved around rather than refreshed but the continental breakfast was plenty full. No non step access unless asked. Not an issue by us as we just had a buggy. But need to ask for step free access.

Good location and facilities. Modern room and bathroom. Room was cleaned once during my stay, but changed towels and made the bed and washed cups every day. It had a fridge as well.

Poor connection of wifi in the first day. It said a coffee maker but they didn't have one (only a kettle) and 2 coffees put next to it. Also, it didn't have slippers which it needed. But nothing special, I would book again, but not for this price.

The location couldn't be better. A short walk from Centraal station and the city centre. Off a main street with plenty of shops and places to eat. Really safe feeling and just excellent for walking around town. The building is so old and full of character. We loved the history on display and feel like the hotel could make more of it's unique style. Our room on the top floor was huge with a fridge and large bathroom and a wall of windows. The beds were comfy and everything well appointed if a bit dated but spotlessly clean. The breakfast had the best selection on offer of any hotel we've stayed in. A fresh juice maker and waffle maker and huge variety of continental options. The small gym was excellent and the free sweets and juices at reception a nice touch. The hotel was very good value for money. We booked a few months in advance and the room rates were equivalent to a budget hotel but this hotel offers so much more.

there was no bar or restaurant for evening meals. The breakfast was very pricey. Perhaps it would have been better value if we'd pre booked. Earlier check in would have been nice!

Great value for money and the breakfast was delicious - it s buffet style and the selection is really good. Beds were comfy, location is great - safe and close to public transport and the bus station/train station. Staff was absolutely lovely!!

It s great value for money in an old timey hotel. It has that vibe, which im perfectly fine with. You might think some of the decor choices are outdated but I feel like it s part of the charm. Wish the tv connected to the internet but that s pretty much it. Nothing I particularly disliked.

The hotel is conveniently located in between Beurs and Stadhuis metro and tram, restaurants and shopping malls around and only a short tram/metro distant away from Rotterdam Centraal. The hotel was clean and staff were very helpful with transport directions. The hotel also kindly provides drinks at reception, candies etc…. Very nice touch. Room had air condition for superior rooms, as well as bottles of water and Nespresso/pod coffee for free. Requests for iron, ironing board and new toiletries were quickly provided when requested.

The bed was not comfortable and gave 2 of us sore backs. It wasn’t supportive enough for our needs. There was also no option or offer to check in before the advertised 3pm, even when a room becomes available.

Our room was excellent. A fantastic size with very comfortable beds. It was very spacious and also included 2 large comfy chairs and a tabe. We had a coffee machine, fridge and a bathroom with a full size bath. The room was modern with great facilities. The air conditioning was a fab addition too.

The only thing was that it was noisy outside at night time, but I expected that due to the hotel's very central location.

The location is amazing - right in the centre of Rotterdam. There are restaurant everywhere around the area and it is walkable to many places. The staff were very pragmatic and friendly. The room is spacious.

It is an old building some part of the hotel seemed old but it doesn't impact my stay. The lifts are a little slow but again - it's an old building! I think it can benefit with some renovation including USB plugs and also smart TV - but it's very little things that will not impact on the positive!

Great size room and fab location

Room temperature control very minimal and not sure it actually worked. Didn't contact reception as we were out most of the time, and forgot on check out. My bad. Bathroom needs updating, bath side quite high to step into for a shower and showerscreen in awkward position. Would recommend replacing with a shower tray instead. No hotel bar, was told there was plenty of bars around, of which we'd just come in from. Would've been nice to have one quiet drink before heading up to the room. The treats opposite the reception are a nice touch.

Very central location, very close to the station (we walked in a few minutes). Very spacious room and bathroom. Beautiful art deco features in the hotel (which is one of the reasons we stayed there) and a lovely breakfast buffet.

Not a complaint but, apparently, some of the rooms on the main street can be a bit noisy on the weekend. The staff were kind enough to move us to one that was guaranteed to be quieter. Worth noting if you're sensitive to noise!
