The location is perfect, we have stopped here several times due to this.

Some of the staff are useless and bearing in mind a lot of English stay at the hotel some don’t know the basic English. I also felt that the drinks around the pool are expensive and the staff are a little grumpy if you go to bar yourselves….. I don’t like feeling I have to tip just because someone brings me a drink plus I like a walk to the bar. Lastly I feel the cost of this hotel for 3 days is just getting more and more expensive, it may make us choose an alternative next time

The location of the hotel was good in terms of access to the beach. We, perhaps would have preferred to be a little closer to the Vilamoura Marina as the restaurants in the vicinity were limited. The hotel restaurant for evening meals was quite expensive. The breakfast offering was excellent, very varied and of good quality. We did have a plumbing issue which we reported soon after arriving however the maintenance person was unable / unwilling to fix which was disappointing. There were plenty of sunbeds/umbrellas around the pools and the sunbed hut people were really helpful.

The restaurant food for evening meals was fairly expensive and with limited choice. Limited entertainment which was a pity.

We stayed in early October for 9 nights Amazing outdoor pool ( although not heated ) Best breakfast buffet we have ever had - huge choice of both hot and cold breakfast items beautifully displayed and continually topped up. Could not fault anything by about it Room spacious with a view towards Quarteira and the sea - very well appointed with huge comfortable bed and very good size bathroom. Coffee machine as well as tea making facilities. Spa facilities very good and we used for the two days when weather poor. Really lively indoor pool ( this is heated!)

Just one small comment about topping up of tea and coffee supplies- perhaps a few more each day would be good - two teabags per day in a hotel of this standard and calibre seems a little mean 😉

I will start with the staff!!! Great people , always with a smile and helpful, thank you for making our stay even more relaxing 😊 The hotel is great , spacious and more important very clean and comfortable room Beautiful pool area and social spaces Great location, beach and promenade is a few meters away and the marina with lots of restaurants and bars just a few minutes walk Overall a great stay , definitely coming back ! Oh I forgot to mention the amazing breakfast!

Beautiful hotel. Looked newly refurbished. The room was a good size, very clean, everything you needed. Comfy bed too. Staff were lovely. Very friendly, efficient and professional. They were eager to help and came across as happy at work/family feel. Breakfast staff were very organised. The woman in charge was very effective and managed her staff with respect and had their respect. She also led by example. The food was incredible. I couldn't fault anything. The selection was incredible, including and excellent GF section. The chefs were out replenishing before anything ran low. The pool area was immaculate as was the pool and toilets. Someone was around to take orders too. The hotel is superb and we will return.

The pool wasn't heated so didn't go in. But this was only a minor issue and didn't spoil anypart of our stay as it was April. A very warm April.

We stayed for 7 days with a toddler and had a lot of fun. The property had a small kids room, which was great during hot days to take some break. Gym was amazing (for a hotel) with a lot of machines, something that is rare for hotels. Breakfast was exceptional! Amazing selection, for all 7 days there were things to try and not get bored. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a huge bed. Pool area was a blessing with a toddler who didn't want to swim in Atlantic Ocean :) It was very large to accommodate a lot of people, so never felt overcrowded and very well maintained. Location of the hotel is also great, close to the beach and to both sides of Vilamoura. Hotel restaurant for lunch had good selection of food.

On the first day there was a very strong smell of chlorine, which over the time I think we got used to, but it was leaving a bit of a negative impression on overall great hotel.

Hotel is not brand new but it was great for me. Great Breakfasts, nice clean rooms, gym coudl have a one or two machines more, but overall good. Nice clean beach and close by to marina with nice restaurants and bars. Besides helpful reception when printing of documents needed.

Gym - I woudl recomend to install something for pullups, plus one machine for back. Besides greqat place to train legs and chest.Please add 20-30 kg dumbelss :)

We’ve been to Vilamoura so many times but this was our first time in the Crown Plaza and it was absolutely fantastic!! The breakfast, the food at the pool and the cocktails were top class. The staff are so attentive and could give lessons to other hotels on how to treat guests!! It was my husband’s birthday while we were there and we came back to our room to find they had left us cava, drinks for the kids and birthday cake…. It was brilliant! Would highly recommend this hotel and we will never stay anywhere else again as the others do not compete!!
