A terrific property. Super clean and spacious apartments. Very quiet location and yet less than a 5 minute walk to the promenade, beach and a wide selection of restaurants. The bus stops immediately outside the hotel which is only an 8 minute bus journey from the airport and less than a 12 minute journey into Puerto del Carmen. There are lovely swimming pools. and beautifully maintained grounds. Very friendly waiting and housekeeping staff. It was excellent value for money. We were on half board and breakfast was very good with lots of selection of freshly prepared food, fruit, breads, pastries, juices and beverages. Lunch was delicious with freshly prepared starters, main courses and a wide selection of desserts. We did not avail of dinner so can not comment. On half board we could choose between lunch and dinner. We shall return, indeed we met many families who were repeat customers. What better recommendation can you get?

Honestly, nothing. We have travelled extensively and found this property exceeded our expectations.

Very friendly and helpful staff on arrival. The hotel has its own supermarket attached for little things. It has 3 pools, a gym, and 2 tennis courts all free of use when staying . The hotel is only a 5 minute walk away from the beach and also several restaurants and gift shops. The room was clean and spacious, including a balcony with outsideseating. We had breakfast included, which was very tasty, and restaurant staff worked efficiently.

We had a ground floor apartment with two bedrooms and our own private garden with sun loungers etc which was ideal when you have children and staff provided a baby/toddler bath & highchair along with the travel cot these small touches made a massive difference, bed was comfortable and the pillows was very comfortable( I usually find pillows uncomfortable when I stay in holiday accommodation) & close to local beach / restaurants and shops if you are traveling from Ireland there is a local spar within walking distance from accommodation.

The housekeeping were very good and very friendly ( just need to make sure you are getting fresh linen on beds and not the same bed linen been used when beds are been made ) there as no washing machines in apartments but they do provide washing machines and dryers at a cost but reasonable enough, breakfast is a bit overpriced on a daily basis if you don’t have breakfast included and

The breakfast was nice and there was a great variety. The staff were available to help and there were always dishes available. The coffee was good. The villa was big and had most things we needed. There were some kitchen supplies (a bottle of washing up liquid and dishcloths). The beds were super comfortable with memory foam pillows. The location is not bad, not far from the main strip. The place was kept clean and there were always staff to help. When you had an issue, they helped immediately.

The restaurant food was a disappointment so I would not recommend eating there. The food in general in Matagorda isn't the best, a little commercial, but we found one or two nice places based on other guest recommendations. The toiletries were cheap and a little stingy: 1 small little shampoo and shower gel for 4 people. Apparently, there were going to be filled by the cleaning staff but this didn't happen for us. Accessibility might be a problem for older people as the steps to our villa were quite challenging. So, worth mentioning when booking.

Our bedroom was big and modern. We asked for a quiet room and we got one in a very quiet area. The swimming pool area was beautiful and spacious. The staff was very friendly.

Breakfast was very poor. We stayed at Ilunion Menorca so we expected something similar, but the food was disappointing. Everyday the same... And dinner was horrible! Don't eat there. It is the worst food I have ever had in Spain. Tasteless, dry, boring.. cheaply made.. The playground for kids, was super old and not well maintained.

I really liked this hotel , it was so comfortable . The beds and pillows just right and the breakfast was great. Mostly I loved the saltwater treated pools. Very soft feeling and plenty of sunbeds . Location was so close to the beach and we liked the food nearby too..at the local shopping center..The kitchens had good utensils and it was very practically kitted out with a cloth and washing up liquid on arrival. Honestly it was a lovely hotel. The gardens filled with flowering cactuses and all sorts of interesting plants was special for me as I love cactuses and painted a few while there! Really great for a true rest in the sun. We thought the staff were really wonderful, they were never grumpy and worked so diligently. I hope this reflects that they are treated well by the hotel.. one lovely man was painting a cactus pot and told me he knew the cactus was at least 17 years old because he had been working there that long and that tells me alot! The hotel was very quick to get to and if the Lanzarote wind was too much at the top pool you could go down to the bottom one which is smaller and more sheltered. The bottom pool has more children in it and would be a great spot for a family to get their apartment right there. We didn't need the air conditioner as there was a great breeze that could go through the apartment in the evenings and we slept great every night.. something else I feel like mentioning is that if your flight comes in before check in time or leaves later than check out it's a very easy place to still enjoy your day. The taxi is also cheap to and from the hotel. This was one of the most relaxing spots we've been to in many years. Loved it! Thank you Illunion!! We hope to get back soon.

The only thing was the sofa was quite uncomfortable. But this was easily solved with the lovely soft duvets on hand. We enjoyed getting takeaway and watching a movie in the flat a few nights. Also I would like there to be an option of not having breakfast in this hotel so we could stay longer perhaps one week with breakfast and one week without.

Lovely apartment, spotlessly clean, and cleaners in attendance regularly. The pools were wonderful, again spotlessly clean pool areas, with towels provided. Life guard in duty at both pools. The complex was beautifully kept. The restaurant was very great with a good choice of meals. We had breakfast every day which we really enjoyed. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is a spa on the complex which myself and my husband used to get a massage and it was fantastic! I would highly recommend this complex. Close to all amenities, bars and restaurants in the resort.

We really appreciated the warm welcome from the staff — everyone was very polite and helpful. The breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. It was also very easy to order a taxi and find great restaurants nearby. The hotel has an excellent pool, and our apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

We felt that the breakfast starting time was a bit late, beginning only at 8 a.m. Also, while the hotel provides towels for pool use, they must be collected directly from the pool staff. Due to the time we arrived, we weren’t able to get them. As a suggestion, it would be better if the pool towels were already placed in the room, so guests wouldn't need to request them separately.

After visiting all different parts of the island, I can say that this is the best location to base yourself in Lanzarote. Keep in mind that we had a rental car, which made everything much easier. The airport is 5 minutes away, the main city is 10 minutes away, Spar, bike rentals and many restaurants are a few minutes walk away. We visited all the attractions of the island and they are fairly evenly spaced from the location (20-40 minutes by car). There are also many larger shopping centers nearby. The neighborhood is quiet, the resort is quite large and offers the most different things. They have two pools, which were quite cold in February, although they said they were heated. Still it was nice for a short swim. The gym is small and only opens at 8 am, although it was often not open on the hour. The apartment was unique and had a lot of space both inside and outside, its own terrace with sun loungers and a table. They also have a tennis court that you can rent. The breakfast was excellent, lots of choice, various juices, sweet and savory items. It starts at 8am, which is ideal. The staff was very friendly and always smiling, I would especially praise their knowledge of English and willingness to help. They also have a playground for children and a children's pool. Rancho Texas is also a 5-minute drive away, which is a very popular animal and theme park for children. There is also a market in the basement of the resort, which we didn't use, and a spa where you can get a massage. I would most certainly return to this resort on my second visit!
