Nice clean room which is meters away from the beach, with the restaurant / bar being on the beach itself. Loved having breakfast here. Not too many restaurants in the area, but Railay beach is a 10 min walk away, through a bit of a rough trail. Can walk it at night, but you need a torch or headlamp.

What an amazing place , we pulled up in the longtail and were immediately impressed by the quiet beautiful beach surrounded by limestone cliffs . We were lucky enough to get an upgrade to a bungalow - so beautiful and sitting on the terrace , we were treated to so many sights of the incredible wildlife . Took a walk round the rocks to Ralay and it was lovely but we were glad to get back to our peaceful little haven. The bar was pretty and fun - food was good , the rock climbers were amazing to watch and the little Reggae bar at the back of the resort was a great little find .

We were there for 3 nights and the only thing that was slightly annoying was the lack of being able to buy a few beers from the store to drink on our balcony tho that was actually the whole point of the place ! Totally out of the mayhem of your usual resorts .

This destination offers a peaceful escape with no mass tourism — it's a laid-back, relaxing place perfect for unwinding. Breakfast features a wide variety of options and is truly satisfying. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful, golf carts are available to transfer you and your luggage to the boat station. It’s an island, the way to access is by boat. You can ask the boatman to drop you directly in front of the resort. However, a bit of wading through shallow water to reach the shore is common in this area. As it's a tropical country, it’s best to travel light — you will need to carry your luggage on your head when disembarking. The famous, busy Railay is just a 15-minute hike over a small rocky hill—best done during low tide. The stunning vistas and the sight of young international climbers showcasing fascinating climbing techniques on the cliffs. Peaceful evening.

The location is amazing. Set away from the crowds for the traveler that doesn’t want that city experience. You have beautiful beaches, caves, rock climbing, hiking and tours all at your hands. The little low key area behind the resort is set back in time with everything you need. If you want a little more busy, you can easily get to Railay by walking a short hike if you are physical able. My cottage was clean, a/c was definitely needed and worked, fresh water was brought everyday. It wasn’t fancy, but it was just right. Loved sitting at the restaurant everyday watching the water or sunset. I was lucky enough to stay in a cottage.

The location was secluded and only accessible by boat and our room was 200m from the beach. The reception ladies were extremely helpful and efficient and always smiling. They arranged our boat/private transfer to Surat Thani with ease and at a very good price.

Aircon in the room was very noisy irrespective of the setting. Lots of mosquitoes in the evenings. The male staff in the hotel restaurant were appalling! They were surly, slow, inefficient and had an amazing ability to ignore customers than needed serving and tables that needed clearing, before said customers could sit down. The food was average at best.

We loved our stay at this hotel. Everything was clean, well maintained, the beds were comfortable and the staff nice and helpful. We had wonderful breakfasts and dinners and enjoyed everything very much. On our last evening we went to do the Monkey Bar which was fantastic. Great food, great cocktails! The hotel is most likely an already older one but they try real hard to modernize and I think they are doing a remarkable job. Unfortunately, swimming is not possible at low tide because the water recedes very far, so to balance that, a pool would be a fantastic addition. A lot of people went there to go bouldering. Not us though ;-).

I missed the opportunity to go swimming during low tide. It is not something the hotel can do anything about it - it's just something, I missed though ;-).

We liked it all... the warm ocean, the boats, the sand and cliffs for watching the climbers. The breakfast was over the top with so many selections to choose from,,, a big surprise. Savoring dinner right next to the sandy beach and ocean view was lovely. We watched the sunset every night. Our little hut was wonderful, comfortable and had a king size bed, not on the beach but a short walk. I didn't see any huts actually by the water. All in all, we could have stayed longer :-)) Access to the long beach was so close, just a short walk from the hut.

This was not a negative for us at all, but it's a contained area with just a few buildings and huts, not for someone who wants a rocking night life. There is also no pier so you get out in the ocean water, but very close to shore, and you wade to shore.. This wasn't a problem for us, but it could be for some. It just added to the uniqueness and charm for us!

I have stayed in several other places in Tonsai over the years, but this is by far the best accommodation. Tonsai is a but run down in general, but TB Resort is actively renovating their rooms and facilities. We had power all day long and the AC in the room was amazing. They cleaned the room, made the bed, and gave us fresh towels each day. Breakfast was good enough for being included. Free coffee wasn't great, so we ordered ice coffees each day. Location is great, really close to the beach, walk to Railay, and all of the climbing areas.

It would be nice if there was a large water jug provided for the room instead of 0.5L bottles each day.

Hotel is located a few meters behind the beach. The hotel restaurant is directly at the beach. Very good breakfast buffet. At the menu there is also western food. Very clean and quiet spot. The stuff is really friendly and helps you with everything. It was a very pleasant stay.

We didn't have a bungalow, so there was just a very small window for our room (room was in the building with the reception).That's why we only give 9/10. The restaurant prices are high but still affordable. Booking the breakfast via booking.com was much cheaper this time. It was a very pleasant stay.

The room was big and clean, just 1 minute from the beach. Pleasant environment and very nice staff.

I got food poisoning from the restaurant (the right one facing the beach), be carful when you eat there!
