Outstanding location to access main sites for a first time visitor to Istanbul. Surprisingly quiet at night and staff are exceptionally attentive (they help you right away!). We stayed in a deluxe double sea view room with balcony which was very large and had a separate doored seating area (which is nice if someone wants to stay up later). Beds comfortable (main bed would be what I call a double). Small balcony with view of rooftops and river. Bathroom clean and adequate (not spa like if that is your thing). Overall I think this hotel provides great value for your money, especially if you like a larger room to spread out a bit. I looked at many, many hotels and this one offered the best location and facilities for the price. Only minor complaint would be very limited closet space but not a deal breaker. Breakfast is fresh with lots of variety. Would stay here again without hesitation.

This is the second time we visit Hotel Amira with my wife, and this time my parents also were with us. We all liked our stay at the hotel and we want to say a very big thank you to the staff who works at their best 24/7. You will find everything you need in this hotel - rooms are clean, breakfast is tasty and unique, rooftop terrace with a breathtaking views, staff is always friendly and immediately ready to help, even at night or early in the morning. Special thanks for arranging the taxi - driver was polite and careful, so don't hesitate to ask the hotel receptionist to call a taxi for you if needed. The hotel itself is in a very good location, city center and 10 min walk to the nearest tram station. All in all, we highly recommend Hotel Amira to everyone!

We loved literally everything. The staff Osman, Mert, Rohat and other guys treated us as like princesses, always kind and welcoming, answered to all of our questions, even gave us Istanbulkart so we could use public transportation. The breakfast was great, the coffee excellent. Due to the season the rooftop bar/restaurant was closed but we could go to the terrace with our own tea cups and enjoy the beautiful view anytime. The room was great, bed was comfortable, cleaning every day. We will definitely stay there when be in Istanbul next time. Probably the best hotel experience!!! Thank you so much for everything!!

There are so many wonderful memories we had while staying at Hotel Amira. First, the teams e.g. Reception team - super helpful with directions, recommending great food places and providing ice on the hot days. Our Breakfast team - including the awesome lady who made our morning Gozleme's every morning, were fabulous in every way! The dinner team up on the rooftop were also great, the views up there were incredible. The location is 10/10! Amira is in the Old City and central to all the hot spots e.g. Sophia Hagia, Blue Mosque, Bascilia Cistern and Granbd Bizaare - as well as many many other great places and eateries. Our room was huge, the bed was amazing, overall the stay was incredible!

Excellent location for exploring the main cultural attractions in the Sultanahmet neighbourhood - Blue mosque, Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sofia, Basilica Cistern. Everything is a short walk away. Quiet boutique hotel - my room was large and comfortable with bay windows that looked out onto a side street. There was a small balcony with a view to the water. Excellent breakfast buffet and rooftop bar as well for sunset drinks. All the staff are so helpful and friendly and on hand to assist you with anything you need. The service really was exceptional.

The bathroom was a bit small and could do with an update especially the bath/shower.

We had the best experience at Hotel Amira! They graciously accommodated us when we needed to rest earlier than our scheduled check-in and even upgraded our room — such a thoughtful gesture. The breakfast was superb, and it was my first time enjoying a buffet that featured a fresh honeycomb — absolutely delightful! The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of the Sultanahmet area, with iconic landmarks like the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and Basilica Cistern all within walking distance. The rooftop terrace, overlooking the stunning Marmara Sea, was my absolute favorite spot — perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Special thanks to the night front desk staff, Mr. Oz (apologies if I’m not spelling that correctly), for his kind assistance, and to the management team for their impeccable hospitality and outstanding service. You truly made our stay memorable.

Hotel is in a great location, few mins walk to main square with blue mosque, hagia Sophia and the palace. Just off the square is basilica cistern and grand bazar. Lots of shops bars and restaurants around hotel and every street! Easy walk down to river front, you can walk to the Galeta bridge in about 45 mins and cross to the asian side. Loved this area too. The staff were amazing, very informative, and nothing too much trouble. Hotel is spotlessly clean in all areas. Room was a great size, more like a suite. Bed was super comfy, mini fridge, bottled water, tea and coffee in the room. Good choice buffet breakfast. The only downside was the roof top bar and terrace was closed as out of season, we went up to have a look, fabulous views and a really lovely area, will have to return when open. Would definitely recommend 👌 I have to say we found Istanbul to be quite pricey, a "cheep beer" was £5 in some places as much as £10 in others, small wine £8_10, coffees on the square were £5 each...and as for prices in istanbul airport...outrageous!! €10 for a croissant and €9 for a coffee ...so remember to take food with you, obviously not many on our flight ate in the airport as they ran out of in flight food half way through service!!

Location was just incredible! Right in the middle of the city centre. Close to many attractions. The hotel is well-managed and has amazing staff who were friendly and so so helpful. It is a quaint, charming corner hotel, conveniently placed! The inside of the hotel is picturesque. The rooms are spacious and clean!

I had mobility issues (currently in a moonboot) and the stair cases to the room I was allocated were a bit tough to walk up/down. There is a lift but I had to access room with by going up 2 sets of stairs. Just something to note for people with mobility issues (please inform the hotel if you have any such issues, dont be like me)

Good location. Blue mosque is a 5 min uphill walk. Bus station is a 4 min downhill walk and Sultanhemet tram is also very close. Lots of places to eat and shop nearby. The most wonderful thing about the hotel is its staff. Ii have travelled the world and never have I ever seen staff so lovely, humble, polite and helpful. Every single one of them from porter to reception to breakfast team were exceptional and deserve 7 stars.

Breakfast has a very limited selection and could be made better. There is no fresh egg station and selection of breads and pastries is very limited. Whatever is on the menu tastes lovely though. Not good value for money. If i ever stay there again, i wouldn't pay for breakfast. Plenty of nearby places with much cheaper options.
