What a fabulous find! A friendly boutique hotel right in the middle of Sultanahmet with so many major attractions within walking distance. If you want to explore more of the city, the tram is 100m up the road and the subway and ferry terminals a short walk away. It could not have been better located. Our room was at the top of the hotel, with a lovely balcony overlooking the park and a view of the river. It was very quiet, spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were fantastic - always friendly, welcoming and very eager to help. The hotel offered a selection of free walking tours. We did the local food tour with Okay, the hotel manager. He was excellent, incredibly informative and introduced us to some amazing places with varied and tasty food. Breakfast in the hotel was buffet style - huge choice of home cooked foods which varied from day to day and excellent service. They also offered free afternoon tea with bagels. We were out most of the time so only took advantage of this once but it was delicious. The hotel also had a hamman, a sauna and a pool in the basement - we used them a couple of times after some long walks and had them to ourselves - perfect.

The location was excellent, with the main sights of the Sultanahmet in easy walking distance; a tram stop very close by made getting around further afield easy; Gülhane Park opposite the hotel made for a peaceful escape from the hubbub of the rest of the Sultanahmet. Breakfast was excellent every day – a good range of foods and plenty of everything, as well as attentive and friendly staff. The room was very good – a comfortable bed, clean, good facilities and plenty of restocks on water, tea etc. All the staff were friendly and helpful - we were able to arrange lots of things through the hotel making our stay stress-free and very enjoyable. The afternoon tea offering was a stand-out extra for me – I enjoyed having somewhere to relax at the hotel outside of the room (the lounge is available at all times, not just for the afternoon tea), and a refreshment break in the afternoon was very welcome.

There was just a narrow wardrobe in our room for clothing (though there was space for suitcases), however we were staying for 9 days which is perhaps longer than most.

On first sight the room looked a bit ordinary, but we soon settled in. The location was great for many famous mosques and other landmarks, ( Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia are a ten minute walk , Topkapi Palace is even less) and also some good restaurants and shops are nearby. There is a tram station one minute away which is extremely useful for us travellers. The staff were exceptional. At the front desk, Okay and Enver were extremely helpful with our requests and helped us with planning our day more than once. Sircan was also very useful as was Fatime in the breakfast room. This is not a big hotel with a big brand name, that means you get a personal approach from all the staff who are polite, patient and helpful. We also used the Spa facilities in the basement which we thoroughly enjoyed. And no one asks you to put in a good review online, they don't need to, probably because they are getting most things right to start off with.

The breakfast would have been a bit better if there was a bit more choice in hot food. Nevertheless, it was acceptable as we had a good choice in salads, pastries, juices etc.

We had a large room on the top floor with a balcony overlooking Gulhane Park. All of the staff were very helpful, to a greater extent than you would normally expect. The hotel is close to all of the major sites in the old city. The area is full of touts and tacky tourist shops, but you don't get one without the other.

,For a four star hotel, the breakfasts could be better. There was variety, but some of the items were low quality, such as the orange juice, the breakfast meats and some of the cheeses. The breakfast staff, however, was very pleasant.

We love our stay here. Location was amazing - you can reach everything with small walk - amazing park with playground, Topkapi, Sophia, Blue Mosque, boat trip. Staff was the most welcoming and helpful, every single question or request received quick and prompt help. Swimming pool, sauna and hamam were our most favorite spot in the early evening after complementary tea with simits. Choices for breakfast were rich and varied by the day. I highly recommend this place and that would be our first choice to stay if we back to Istanbul.

The location was amazing, and the staff was the most welcoming and nice we have ever experienced (and we travel a lot!). We arrived in the middle of the night with 2 kids (1 kids and a baby) and they made us access our room way earlier (right when we got there!) than planned so we could rest and enjoy the first day trip! The staff gave us amazing and valuable recommandation for food places, places to visit, things to see, where to buy gifts and products… We were finishing our days with a moment at the pool with the kids (with Turkish bath and sauna), that made our days even more fantastic. They helped us out a lot and we highly recommend this place! The only weak spot was the high temperature in the room, so we had to open the window all day long.

We liked EVERYTHING! The room with a balcony looking onto Gülhan park. Very clean,comfortable and quiet! Everybody spoke English and was extremely friendly and hepful. We also went on a complimentary tour with Agah from 10:30 to 14:30: he treated us with ice-cream and fresh from the oven sesame bread and he also taught us many interesting facts about his city. There is also a very nice rooftop with a great view on the fortified walls and the park! Even though it was pricey, this hotel was an absolute treat to end our stay in Istanbul!!(oh, and I forgot the delicious breakfast 😊)

This property is truly a gem. The location is perfect to visit all of the key attractions in the area. It offers a swimming pool, a complimentary family hamam and the staff are all very friendly. Manager Okay was the cherry on the top providing useful guidance throughout the stay. He also led a complimentary tour of the area which was incredibly insightful and one of the highlights of our stay.

Great location, able to walk to major attractions and very close to a tram stop. Staff at the hotel are very kind and wanting to do extra things to make the stay enjoyable. A special thanks to Okey. Property offers a free Turkish cooking class twice per week, which my daughter and I enjoyed. They also have additional cultural programs a few times per week (included in room charges). Pool in the spa area is warm and clean. Depth is 150cm, so might think to bring floaties for small children. Breakfast buffet has nice local foods.

Rooms are small, especially connecting family rooms.

Great location, decent rooms, a very good breakfast and facilities including a small gym, pool and sauna. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The street is quiet with only the odd taxi which is a big plus in such a busy city. There are also no add on charges (such as for the safe and air con) that I have experienced elsewhere in Turkey.

Some have said the rooms may be slightly tired and the gym equipment could be improved. That is somewhat harsh given the location and price. My son and I really enjoyed our stay and have recommended the hotel to others intending to visit the city.
