The locations excellent , for food , shopping , gyms , transport , events , theatre , art . The hotel entrance is like an entrance to German techno club Bergheim or art installation , even the entrance is an experience . The steam room is excellent , quite hot , the cocktails , food , vibe etc it’s all impecable really . They even had gong healing meditation and reiki . Just wow . I loved it .

One niggly thing . The steam room is included for hotel guests but if one wants to use the salt scrub or mud that’s in the steam room area that’s an extra £120 and well that’s got to change . There’s a floatation tank for another £120 & not a pool so if the only thing the guests can use is the steam room , well then guests really shouldn’t be charged £120 for that .

Staff were all wonderful! Such a warm welcome and everyone remembers your name which is a lovely touch. Excellent facilities, great location and a really lovely room with a shared outdoor terrace space.

Didn’t bother us in the slightest but it’s loud downstairs until around 1:30am so worth bearing in mind if you’re after a quiet night! Room was on the small side but pretty standard for central London and it has everything you need, plus the added extra of outdoor space which is rare and was a nice bonus.

The quirkiness of the decor and the rooms were lovely.

For the level of hotel, we had to ask for another bathrobe (as a staying couple they only supplied one on arrival!? ) also had to ask for them to replenish the coffee and water. This all should have been automatic. Breakfast on day one was nice, in the restaurant. However breakfast on the following two occasions was up stairs in the garden room. Cold iron seats to sit on, no cushions, service was very slow and when the food did eventually arrive it was cold! They would have been better keeping it in the restaurant although don’t think this would have improved the food quality. Disappointing for the level of accommodation.

The staff was amaizing. Only had breakfast at the hotel, but amazing as well.

The bed was too uncomfortable. The matress should be changed.

Staff was fantastic, my wife loved the Wavess Wellness Pool, we even enjoyed the complimentary reiki and sound healing as a relaxing session (obviously disregarding all the 'health'/'energy' claims about it). The afternoon tea was surprising and very enjoyable. Restaurant was really nice, esp. the wine, the food (sirloin and haddock) were just alright. The terrace was great despite the below.

The room, although anywhere else you'd be more than satisfied with it, may seem a bit of a let down when compared to the iconic mandrake suite that's advertised everywhere. It would be great if a bit more of that style, colour scheme, was used here as well. The terrace wasn't private, but actually accessible to pretty much everyone, but still felt incredibly peaceful and you would never believe you are in the middle of London.

An amazing experience for my husbands 40th Birthday they left a bottle of espresso Martini and a card. We ate in the Jurema Terrace which was beautiful, Adrian offered fantastic service even included a complimentary cake with a candle at the end. We decided to return to the hotel suite at 11pm the room was really cold and it appeared that the heating had locked. Jay was amazing he accepted it would be inconvenient to pack our things up but said it would be worth it as he would upgrade us. The new room was incredible. Breakfast was tasty and again great service too.. I can honestly say the entire experience from start to finish was perfect.

The Mandrake is a quirky and unique hotel with a fantastic location, offering a vibrant and stylish atmosphere that stands out from other places in the area. The eclectic decor and attention to detail give it a fun, artsy vibe, making it a memorable stay.

The shower experience could be improved, as the drain didn’t work properly, which was a bit of an inconvenience during my stay.

We received an upgrade to a suite which was beautiful. The beds were very comfortable and the suite luxurious and very clean. Breakfast was also wonderful and the staff were really helpful and friendly. They ordered us a taxi to take us to the theatre.

Sadly there was no milk in our bedroom for coffee in the morning. Whilst this was a minor issue, we do like a coffee with milk and to only find out when we woke up in the morning was frustrating. We went to the Waeska bar for drinks in the evening but the waitress was really slow and we had to wait almost 15mins for drinks to arrive and it wasn't busy.

Great location close to Soho and Chinatown. Trendy hotel with live DJ performances on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays which we really enjoyed. Bar staff is very experienced mixing every cocktail you like. No breakfast buffet, but a la carte and of excellent quality. Overall friendly staff and a pleasant hotel to stay in

We had a terrace room which we found quite small with equipped with a queen size bed. For the price we paid a king size would be more in line. It is a trendy hotel very centrally located, but don't go here if you don't like noice because there are live DJ performances which can be annoying if you seek total silence.

Excellent location and great art all around the hotel. Good vibe at the hotel and staff was great. Overall a good experience.

The “balcony” wasn’t really private and on a shared walkway. No bath robes in the rooms. Locks on doors are a little finicky.
