Nice old house, typical architecture for that area. Good location, very close to Lego house. The host was extremely nice and gave us the room very early in the morning when we arrived, without asking for extra money.

Very small room, we had bunk beds even if we were 2 adults. The bed was not double, but 2 twins with a small space between them, we slept somehow apart because of this. We stayed only 1 night. Not a good value for money, but this is Billund…a very small an expensive city full of Lego. It should be renamed to Lego City because Lego is the only reason you are going to Billund 😂 Not a lot of accommodation options, so high prices in general.

Refborg hotel is situated amazingly right next door to the city center (it´s a small city but still, in the heart of city, 100 steps from the main square). The free City Shuttle stop, that also goes to airport, Legoland, Lalandia etc is in front of the hotel. Its also very quiet, so nothing disturbs your sleep and supermarket for snacks is next to the hotel. I liked the breakfast a lot, its maybe not different each morning but it was tasty and plentiful. We ate in the downstairs restaurant one evening and I really loved the fish too. Beds and pillows were great. It´s not a 4-5 start hotel but I think it was good for a 3 star hotel.

Prices slightly high for my taste but on the other hand, all Billund hotel prices are crazy high in season. The hotel is slighly run down (hence rustic) but everything worked. TV could have been slighly bigger, hard to see from the bed. To watch the TV you first had to click on some light switches or something, my kid called this the miracle button (as it made the TV remote interact with the TV). The bedside reading lights probably had their own miracle button somewhere which we did not find.

We had a wonderful stay at Refborg Hotel. The staff were absolutely lovely – always friendly and helpful. The breakfast was simple but good, with enough variety that everyone could find something they liked. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the housekeeping service was excellent – they took out the garbage and made the beds every day. The location was perfect, with a shop right across the street and Legoland just a short distance away. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to stay here again!

A welcoming and well located hotel. Our room was very spacious with a small sitting room area (sofa bed). Lovely soaps, but no body lotion. Decent hairdryer. Breakfast was good. Slightly limited compared with large hotels, but provided both continental, some fruit, and eggs etc. Staff were super friendly and helpful and there is a quaint shop with snacks and gifts at the hotel. A nice supermarket is across the street. At first we did not realise it was there as signage is not clear. Be aware that the free shuttle service only runs in peak season, but there is a bus service about 5 mins away and Legoland is only 15 mins walk. The Lego House is almost opposite the hotel, and there are several restaurants and coffee shops nearby. The Teddy Bear museum is also worth a visit. Note that there is no elevator if you have heavy suitcases.

The location was perfect, with two large grocery stores nearby. The Lego House was within walking distance, and Legoland was just 500 meters away, also an easy walk. Every day upon our return, we found our room spotlessly cleaned. We stayed there for three days and were very pleased with the service. The breakfast was also excellent. They also have a nice play area kind of common room where my daughter had good time playing with legos and made some friends. Near by medicine store,sports clothes store room,big slider nearby for kids.Even parents also can enjoy sliding 😀

Outside bathroom they should keep the rugs to dry our feet. We had to use paper to for that.

The location of this hotel is superb for visiting Legoland and Lego House which was the purpose of our trip. The staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and very helpful. The rooms we stayed in were very clean. The breakfast buffet was delicious with a good variety of food offered.

The ground floor room that we stayed in could benefit from having a portable fan. The weather was hot during our stay and, although the hotel is generally in a quiet location, leaving the window open at night meant we were woken by early morning deliveries or cars using the electric car charging point directly outside the window.

The hotel is in a fabulous location right in the centre of Billund within easy reach of Legoland and across the road from the Lego House. It is really nicely decorated and beautifully clean. We had a fabulous room in the attic with dormer window and a modern, clean bathroom. It was a superb size with tea/coffee making facilities.

A little disappointed with reception - we asked if there was a bus to Legoland and were told no. In fact there are fabulous regular local buses just a 5 minute walk away but had to work that out for ourselves. Although only a 20/25 minute walk, one of our party has a slight disability so this was really important ... taxis are super expensive! Breakfast was a teeny bit limited

I visited Billund because of my love for Lego, which was an opportunity to accomplish my dream. The location of Refborg Hotel is perfect, you're just in the middle of Billund, a 1-2 min walk from the Lego House, and you've got a supermarket in front of the hotel. The breakfast was delicious, with a variety of pastries, breads, etc. We had a rental car and the hotel had a lot of parking spaces without any need to pay for it, which was very handy. The room was very clean, the sheets, and the towels and I didn't feel there was any dust.

It looks like the hotel relies on an old building that they transformed into a hotel because the way of reaching the room is tricky. We had a problem with the soap dispenser in the bathroom, we contacted the front desk, and they told us it would be resolved - eventually, we solved it by ourselves. The light in the room was very wick, it wasn't even in the middle of the room, just in the entrance and in the bathroom.

I loved the massive room I had and the walk-in shower. Beds were made each day, and the staff was excellent when I checked out, as I could leave my bags in a secure location.

On Saturday night, music was played from a nearby restaurant, which hotel guests could hear through the floor. This went on from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. The breakfast selection was limited, meaning they only had seeded bread and lingonberry jam - I should add that I quite like this jam, but it would have been nice to have some additional variety, such as Nutella.

We had an exceptionally warm welcome on arrival to the hotel and the very friendly staff were an outstanding feature of our stay. Our room was simply furnished but very clean and comfortable with plenty of space. The location is better than any other hotel in Billund in our view. You are only a minute from several restaurants and the Lego house and Legoland is a mere stroll away. Breakfast was good.

Our room had some traffic noise. This isn't the hotel's fault of course, but something to be alert to if you are a light sleeper. This is obviously the counterpoint of being in such a central location!
