The location is fantastic, making it easy to access key attractions, and the cleaning service was excellent - I appreciate them for the provided adapter. However, I had a disappointing experience with the front desk staff. When I requested a one-hour extension for my stay, the receptionist was not very friendly and initially declined my request, even rudely. It was only after speaking with the manager, who immediately confirmed that the extension was allowed, that the issue was resolved. This inconsistency in service was frustrating and could be improved. Despite this, my overall stay was enjoyable. I hope the hotel can work on improving the customer service at reception to ensure a more welcoming experience for all guests.

Room was clean, club room facilities were clean and service was excellent

Late checkout charged at $20 per hour for only 2 hours ($40) was a bit rich for my liking especially when you are a member & NO COMPLIMENTARY WATER IN YOUR ROOM OR THE CLUB ROOM, only tap water available, only hotel I’ve been to that doesn’t supply at least one bottle in your room, POOR

the overall decor is nice and have a peaceful feeling for me. the bed was comfortable and the table was big enough for me to put my make up stuff. Small details such as the table had a permanent mat area for writing etc which I thought was great. Room was spacious for opening 2 medium size luggage and to walk around. Enjoyed it. We loved the area for buffet and choices of different drinks and friendly staff. I loved that the staff were very kind to their colleagues who are ID.

The door was too heavy for us but I think it’s prolly great to slam on someone if it’s a stranger when we open the door. 🤣 we had some disagreement with the cleaning staff but we managed to resolve it with the reception quickly and with service make up for us. So it’s alright.

We first stayed here during our trip to Sydney eleven years ago. My husband liked the breakfast buffet so much he wanted to stay here again on our third time. (It is excellent.) The location is excellent. We were more confident getting around this time and found it very easy to pick up multiple modes of transportation within easy walking distance. (The light rail and subway at Town Hall, ferries at the harbor, for instance.) The restaurants on Darling Harbour are excellent as well, so we never had to travel far to eat either. It was also easy to pick up excursions, and within walking distance to many museums, shopping, and markets.

There really isn't anything I didn't like about the hotel.

Location is great for the tourist on foot wanting to explore the city cbd/shopping/darling harbour and to get to the Circular Quay area the Townhall Train Station is a quick walk via the nearby shopping plaza entrance located on the corner of Bathurst and Kent St. While the hotel isn't the newest kid on the block and might not have as much Glam as some other hotels it does have a sense of comfort and warmth. Our room on the 5th floor cityview was quiet,clean,spacious and very comfortable. The bathroom styling is not the latest but you can tell that when it was built they used tiling/stone work of high quality and it retains a lux feel over time. My 8 yr old son felt very safe at the hotel and he looked forward to coming back here in the evenings after a hectic day of activities. The hotel staff were polite and helpful.

No pool but we wouldnt have had time to use one anyway.

I liked the location as it was in walking distance of a lot of great attractions, such as the Chinese Friendship Garden. The room was so spacious, comfy, and luxurious. The valet service and staff were friendly and efficient in getting my transport organised for wherever I wanted to go. As a solo traveller, this made me feel more at ease.

I think the only thing I was a bit confused about was the configuration of the lines at the 4 counters when entering. It wasn't clear who was checking in and checking out, and there was random 'line tapping' zig-zagged, and it was in the middle of the reception area. It wasn't used by guests either. Maybe they didn't get it's placement and purpose either - not a biggie, but the only negative I could think of.

The room was excellent. One staff member in particular went to great lengths to help us. It was New Years Eve and he advised us where and which floor to go to to view the fireworks. He also gave us a complimentary glass of wine which was so nice.

The check in process was frustrating, as they would not accept a new credit card to put against the room for security. Given the room was prepaid at time of booking which was quite a time before arrival date, that credit card had expired and I had a new one with me. The receptionist insisted I paid a second time and they would refund me at a later date. I did this grudgingly and it took around three weeks to get my money back which was a substantial amount. Also the restaurant was not open during our stay which we were hoping for but room service was operating. New Year's Eve and New Years Day and no restaurant - Really!!!!

The breakfast was amazing and we ordered dinner one night and it was lovely

Nothing the staff from every area at the park royal was fantastic it’s a credit to your company and a absolute pleasure do deal with everyone of your staff please look after them they all deserve a big congratulations. I wound like to thank Michelle at reception she was so helpful and couldn’t do enough for us thank you again we would stay with you again would

- Closeness to Darling Harbour & City - could walk everywhere. - Staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. - Bed very comfy. - Very clean - Valet Parking - Fast elevators - Wifi - Blockout Curtains

- Floor Lamp in room didn’t work (no we didn’t report it just used desk lamp instead) - noisy room upstairs with things dropping on their floor late at night & early morning - same in the room to the left of us. - Apartments outside of window were very very close we didn’t feel like we had any privacy nor them as we could see into their kitchen lounge & bedroom clearly. If window opened could easily throw things to each other lol - Shower could have more water pressure/hand held shower hose. - Plaster patch in ceiling not painted same colour, just gave the room an unfinished feel to it. - Pod coffee would be much nicer than the pkt coffee and what we get in most hotels these days.

Breakfast Buffet was excellent . Room was spacious and clean . Location was okay if you want to be near Darling Harbour . Staff were accommodating but very inexperienced .

It is a joke that we are immediately charged a holding deposit of $200 ,then have to wait 5 to 7 days for the credit to come back to the savings account . Stayed at the Grace Hotel previous week and they immediately processed the credit to my savings account . Also we were not allocated the room as advertised . Manager Ben was helpful and found the right room for the last 3 days of a 4 night stay but unfortunately had to stay in the wrong room for the first night . We were provided with free breakfast as compensation . Room was not cleaned on the third day . In summary it was the NQR stay .
