This is an excellent place. Location, location, location. The view is outstanding. The place is beautiful and very comfortable. Now the service, that's another level. The staff is amazing 👏 The service staff is simply excellent. They made us feel special. The treatment, the service, the love they put into their work is exceptional. I only have words of gratitude for them. Hope I can come back. If your thinking visit Bilbao do not hesitate to visit Palace.

Impressive hotel, very grand yet modern, huge room, comfortable bed, nice view over bay from terrace and pool area, easy walk to old harbour for pintxos or to metro in to Bilbao, staff hugely professional, great welcome with drink, room ready early and bags put in room.. hotel organised us tickets to guggenheim museum. Staff organised complimentary secure parking for my ferrari in their garage. We enjoyed playing croquet on the lawn.

Nothing, great stay, will return.

Hotel was like the pictures, very good looking, and we had a lovely relax stay. People were very kind, I forgot my hairdryer and handled that perfectly. While we were there the weather was not very warm yet so pool etc. was closed. There were very nice sunny moments though but the outside area did not really facilitate a nice and or sunny seat when the pool side is closed.

Restaurant was good, but less than expected compared to the rest of the hotel.

Breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. From the selection, to the service to the produce. The location is outstanding and the property is totally unique.

It all feels a little sterile and you feel you need to whisper. It's too quiet and this makes the atmosphere feel very austere. At breakfast especially, no soft music playing made it feel like you are walking into a funeral. No one really talking and soft whispers. This needs work. The TV in the room takes a long time to load, if at all, and after several attempts I gave up.

The staff of the Palacio were so good that I felt like family to them. This was the best travel experience of my life and it is largely due to the great customer experience that the team at the Palacio provided. I cannot wait to return!

There was nothing that I didn’t like

My second stay and as with first the highlights were the amazing service provided by staff, the charm of the building and the waterfront location. Love sitting on the terrace and having drinks/snacks. The restaurant is high quality. A wonderful place easily accessible to Bilbao but feels like a completely different world.

For a place with such high quality rooms the pillows were awful and even upon request no alternatives were available. Made sleep difficult.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. From the moment we arrived. From the front desk to the restaurant and the poolside bar, including housekeepers special thanks to Angelina for being so helpful and attentive to the guests.

We stayed at the hotel to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. All of the hotel staff were friendly, welcoming and they couldn’t do enough to make our stay more memorable. The rooms were clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable. There was air conditioning and we even had a heated toilet seat! This is a really up-market hotel. It was fairly expensive but the price was well worth the money for the memories we took away.

We liked everything.

Location in Getxo was good. Everything was of a very high standard and immaculate. Receptionist Ana a great asset to the hotel.

Found the abundance of staff too much , did not help to present a relaxed atmosphere. The hotel had a too formal atmosphere to enjoy being on holiday.

Great facilities, huge comfortable bed. We were able to check-in early and were greeted with wine and olives on arrival. Staff members at the front desk were very helpful

One staff member was quite rude. There was a charge for spa usage incorrectly applied to our room (this was quickly rectified by management)
