Good position. Freebus ride to Prado museum and Botanical gardens and railway station

Please get rid of baths in bathrooms. Dangerous for older clientele, difficult to reach taps to adjust. I found this in almost every hotel I stayed in Spain. They are not a clean item and not necessary.

Central location - close proximity to all areas of interest. Have had an excellent stay previously at a fraction of the cost. Cost might have been significantly higher for a very small room due to being a major Marathon weekend and demand outweighing availability. Quiet rooms even street-facing but nothing will stop the police/ambulance sirens from wailing in the night. Nice buffet breakfast.

Quite a pokey room and bathroom compared to previous stay. We were there 3 nights. First day our room wasn't made up so assumed it was normal. 2nd day returned after running race late afternoon and still hadn't been serviced. Several 'Make up Room' tags were on other bedroom doors so it appeared there was zero room cleaning going on. Reception seemed surprised but sent someone immediately to clean. However had we been another 10 mins we were told that there were no cleaners after 3pm.

I just have one concern as I requested a wake up call which was critical to go to airport . And the staff missed it. And the lady called me 1 hour later and she didn't apologize when I told her that it's too late , she just said " OK! Now you want taxi to airport " . She decided to ignore how critical is this matter. I dealt with two amazing ladies Victoria and Mara. The lady who gave the call is not them but someone else

The room (Gran Via) was pleasant although a little small, which is only to be expected in a classic building city centre location. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The location is ideal for sightseeing with all of the highlights in short walking distance and very close to Metro station. The restaurant serves only breakfast with a good selection and never too busy. The lounge area and bar is comfortable. There are many dining options close to the hotel.

Only a very small point but sometimes the hot breakfast items were a little cold.

The location is perfect for exploring Madrid , its central for the museums , parks and main points of interest.All the staff were incredibly helpful and dealt with any problems we had quickly , they also helped us book tours and taxis etc The other thing worthy of mention was the gift of Cava and cake on my birthday on the 3rd day of our stay from the Hotel , a lovely touch .

I cannot say we had any major problems and always felt that the staff would deal with any issues quickly and professionally .

The hotel was very central, comfortable and tastefully styled. The staff were lovely.

We booked a room with a balcony which had an amazing outlook of Gran Via, but at the time of booking I didn’t think about the traffic noise on the road, which meant we didn’t keep the balcony door open or spend time on the balcony. The room was soundproof and so no problem when the door was closed. This is not necessarily an issue, but just something I hadn’t thought of when booking.

Location is superb at the Gran Via. Within walking distance to all the wonderful restaurants, Mercado San Miguel, and Plaza Mayor. Breakfast was excellent. Lots of choices, particularly as I’m gluten free. Very clean hotel. Beds are SOO comfortable.

We didn’t book breakfast with our booking, chose to eat one morning and thought a little expensive at €22 per person

A lovely characterful hotel in a very central location near shopping, transportation and entertainment options. It is great value and whilst the rooms werent very spacious, everything was there from a very comfortable bed, a nespresso machine, bathroom with all the facilities and a large TV.

The room was small which obstructed the entrance to the bathroom.

It’s a lovely hotel, comfortable beds,very clean & well cared for. The staff were friendly & helpful, there’s a varied & very good buffet breakfast & delicious coffee. A very nice lobby/bar. Location seems pretty central.

Our standard twin room was a bit tight, didn’t care for the inside location. Shower had great water pressure, nice temperature controls but invariably the bathroom floor was quite wet in spite of being careful. Bar & restaurant items seemed high but probably not more than any other touristed place. The hotel needs to provide better tourist maps. The print was so tiny it was barely readable.

Excellent staff and service. Great central location. Very nice vibe in the bar/restaurant. The room was very nicely decorated and comfortable. Beds were very comfortable and sheets changed every day.. Very nice restaurants in the vicinity. Special thanks to Receptionist Mara who was warm and welcoming and very helpful with directions and patient with my Spanish language efforts!
