- Location; the location is absolutely perfect! less than 5 minutes walk to Plaza Mayor and a myriad of shops, bars and restaurants plus a big theatre and cinema and more attractions and finally 2 minutes away from a metro station which has a line going to Atocha with no need to change so +5 stars for this - Staff; very kind and helpful as well as attentive in all areas (cleaner was very nice) - Breakfast; We paid for the breakfast just for the one day as we were not able to go our 2nd day due to an early start of travel, we paid for it after booking instead of in advance which was easy to do as it was just added to the room and we paid on electronic checkout - the breakfast itself was very nice with lots of options to choose from and very kind helpful staff. I would not say it was anything out of the ordinary but worth what we paid (we paid a little more for not paying in advance) - Room; We were on the 5th floor which we had a Superior Double Room and the room was very large with a lovely big bed which was very comfy and gave us a great nights sleep. The room facilities were exactly what I expected but they did seem to go a little further with personal touches from staff and management and the room was generally very clean etc. It was also very quiet which is what we wanted as we were traveling with a 1 year old!

- Room; it is a big shame to have to write this part as everything else was lovely and excellent value for money for our stay and room, unfortunately it seems that there was a leak in the room as you could see in the ceiling where the partition wall separating the bathroom and bedroom had a lot of damp/leak stains and there was some visible damage around the walls in places - overall it was not the worst it could have been but I think a surprise for some others maybe. It did not hamper my stay nor make it less enjoyable etc, but from a visual perspective I have to be fair and include it in my review. I will say that I think it may be recent and management may be getting around to fixing / repairing the damage etc from the leak etc.

I really liked the facilities and the central location — it made walking to the main points of interest easy. Despite being in a busy area, the soundproofing was excellent and we barely heard any noise from the street, which was a big plus.

On the downside, the nightly rate was a bit high for March (a low-season month), especially with no extras included. Also, while not a major issue, it felt a bit odd to have such a small TV on the wall - it looked more like a computer monitor, especially considering how spacious the room and bathroom were.

The lights in the wardrobe / shelving area are motion sensitive and they were constantly coming on and off at very times. Very annoying. The front desk told me that if I just close the sliding doors, the lights won't come on. But I don't want the doors closed - I want access to my things whenever I want. I have no idea why they thought this was a good idea - first hotel where I've ever seen this. The room I was in was the B section - a row of rooms along a darkly lit corridor at the back of the hotel. No view, not well lit. I felt at times like I was in a basement. You can't open the drapes much without letting the rooms across the way see right into your room.

The aircondition was working perfectly, staff was really nice. Breakfast was fresh and tasty.(lots of fruits and cakes etc.)Staff was also make sure we get the taxi to the airport and call us to the room inform the taxi was on the street. The location is also exellent. Room is quiet. I will definetaly come back to this hotel If i come back to Madrid someday.

Little minuses i have to give is about the scent in the hotel lobby. Very strong flowery kind of "perfume" or diffuser(?)was smelling everywhere in the lobby during the whole visiting time in the hotel. And it wasn't smelling in the room so i didn't want to make a problem about it. But this is just my opinion, i was sneezing a lot and get a little nausea/headeche about it. If you are sensitive to strong scents like i am, i recomment to choose another hotel. (Or avoid the lobby area)And the lights in the room is not the best for doing a makeup, but I still want to visit there again anyway.

The location is close to the subway station and within walking distance to the Royal Palace. Surrounded by many restaurants, it is a great location as a base for sightseeing. Rooms are spacious enough. Good breakfast.

Until the second day of my stay, I could not connect to the WiFi in my room on the 4th floor (it had been available since the 3rd day, temporary malfunction of their WiFi equipment?) Otherwise, no problems.

Overall a great stay with no complaints. The staff are great and met all my needs. For example, I requested prior to arrival a room with a street view. I was informed the staff will do there best to accommodate me. When I got there I was given a room with a street view. The location is great only about a 10 minute walk from the centre. Rooms come a standard extra large double bed. If you are looking for a hotel that is central with rooms at a high standard you won't go wrong with this one. FYI - I am normally a glass half empty guy ;)

Location is very good as close to the less touristic area, where you can go for tapas and in the middle of the city, however the hotel itself is on a kind of unassuming street that makes you feel a bit sorry that you stay there. Otherwise all correct. A lot of rooms have a view on a inner area, which benefits peaceful night, however takes a bit o pleasure of being in the center of Madrid.

It was perfect for what we needed, standard hotel in the city centre. It worked fine for us. Size of the room was okay but nothing exceptional to note.

The need to ring in or use card just to get in the hotel can be annoying but probably due to seurity, I also wished there was somewhere to hang our clothes and an iron. But we didn't ask for one, maybe reception will bring it to the room.

The room was good size, clean, and have everything you may need for a short stay, location is good, walking distance from all the touristic sites and attractions. Friendly staff, especially Marc at the reception desk, he took the time to go through a map with us, he was very helpful.

I wish the hotel had it's owne Parking, I had to pay 35 euros/night for the parking next to the hotel.
