The staff was very accommodating and friendly, definitely went above and beyond to assist us. If you need anything, just ask and they will help you. They heated our food, gave us forks, cups, called our cab, gave us directions, weighted our bags, recommendations, anything needed. I was traveling just with my mom and felt very safe at the hostal. They even helped us get a better room once we arrived at the place. Take into consideration that it is a place to go rest, don't expect a big lobby or places to hang. The rooms are small (pretty much standard for the area), but beds where good, the room clean, and the bathroom was nice, good water pressure and hot water. The building is old, but again similar to other places in the area. They have a coffee machine which me and my mom appreciated so much. There is also a 24/7 supermarket down the road. It is close to EVERYTHING, we walked to all the main sites and it has a metro stop down the road. The BIG plus is definitely the staff, we loved Karla.

There are working on the road in front of the hostal, no major issue, but take it in consideration. We didn't hear any annoying noises, but you do have to walk around.

They have a 24h reception with exceptionally kind staff, they always quickly responded to our requests (e.g., providing us a kettle and tea, or when I left my bag there after check-out, all free of charge obviously). The room was fine with a small balcony, it was very clear, the bed is comfortable. You could hear some noise from the street sometimes, but the location is in the hearth of the city centre, so this is normal. In general, we had good nigth sleeps. Wifi was perfect. Plaza Mayor is 2 mins walk, and you can reach all the important monuments within 15 mins walk (Royal Palace, Prado, Thyssen museum, etc). There any many shops, pedestrian streets, tapas bars, but you can also find a large Carrefour supermarket within 100m.

As this is a hostel, there is no breakfast option, but they have a coffee machine and there are plenty of breakfast places available within 1 minute walk, so this is not a big issue. Otherwise this hostel was really more like a proper hotel.

We really liked our room, and the daily cleaning service was a great touch. The location was very convenient, close to the metro, and easy to get around. The reception was very helpful and welcoming, which made our stay even better. We also appreciated having a large 24-hour supermarket nearby. Overall, a great stay!

The sound insulation in the rooms was not good. We could hear noises from other rooms' bathrooms while trying to sleep. The other downside was that the surrounding street was under construction, which was a bit inconvenient. However, we understand that this is not the property's fault.

I absolutely loved my stay in Madrid! The place was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable — exactly as shown in the pictures. One of the best parts was the location. It was within walking distance of all the main sightseeing spots like the Royal Palace, Plaza Mayor, and Gran Vía. I didn’t need to rely much on transportation, which made exploring the city super easy and enjoyable. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Madrid!

The room was a bit tiny.

Clean, modern and spacious room exactly as in the picture. Also amazing location, everything to see was nearby, metro and 24h carefour were at the end of the street. Staff was incredibly helpful, the guy at the check in even showed us the room and explained everything in person. And in general, check in was really professional. The last day we just had some issue in our room around 11 evening but the staff was helpful with resolving the problem in such a late time. Definitely worth for the money. Highly recommend!

This hostal was quite amazing! The quality of the facilities and the customer service were incredible! We really enjoyed our stay here, the room itself and bathroom were comfortable, clean and spacious. They even gave us complementary drinks and since we arrived early before the check-in time they kindly allowed us to store our luggage. The location is great, the hostal is 2 stops away from the Gran Vía but also, it has its own tourist places from a walking distance (e.g. Plaza Mayor, Mercado San Miguel, Sobrino Botín Restaurant (oldest restaurant in the world) and many others places).

Loved the central location as we were able to walk to monuments, squares etc. Basic room on small size for 2 people if you were intending to spend any time in room, but there are better places to be. Ensuite with great shower. Bed was comfortable, room was generally quiet & spotlessly clean. We had a fridge & the complimentary water & cava on arrival was a nice surprise. Has a lift which suited us 2 older folks on a budget. Staff very helpful, & welcoming. Would have liked to have had access to a safe, but felt secure with 24 hour reception. Is close to transport options, including hop on hop off bus stop.

This is the second time my husband and I have stayed here. My husband has regular seminars in the city so we travel in from another part of Spain. For tourists, the location is unbeatable, easy walking distance to attractions, buses, metro and some great places to eat. The staff are helpful and pleasant. And on the two occasions we stayed, other guests were respectful and quiet. Seems the hostal attracts a nice clientele. Rooms are also very clean and have a fridge. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure.

We preferred the room we had on our first stay. Second time room was larger but although shower was good size, bathroom was very small (I am a petite woman) This could be very uncomfortable for any medium or larger sized person.

Location is good. There’s a Carrefour nearby and Lidl. It is also just 8-min walk to Puerta del Sol and around 15mins to Gran Via. Clean room and spacious. Toilet is also clean. They also have a lift in case you’re wondering. Check-in was smooth and Carla was accommodating and helpful. I cannot comment on the bed as I only booked for a night but arrived nearly checkout the following day.

I just had a hard time looking for the entrance but it’s just a minor thing

The hotel is in a great location, easily accessible on foot. It's also very close to public transportation stops. We were very pleased with the receptionist's warm, friendly, and cheerful demeanor. The room was generally ample in size and cleaned daily. We also thanked them for allowing us to leave our luggage after check-out until we left for the airport.

Only the toilet and bathroom were a bit small, and the sink was outside.
