Wonderfully friendly staff, very attentive to your needs. Great choice with lil kitchen and lounge area, my daughter and i shared this room It was perfect to have the extra space and be able to have a quick breakfast and tea. The fridge was fantastic and well used. very comfortable, excellent airconditioners which was so needed, it kept us nestled in peace after being around hoards of people while touring. The room cleans were great and very detailed, which was very nice. Due to running a 6 bedroom guesthouse myself ( in South Africa) i had a few suggestions, that i believe will make the space really excellent, i hope my suggestions will be implemented. The location is very much in the middle of it all, so very easy to get around bus, or train is on your door step. The area was very interesting, so busy and great to people watch, however there is a few rough groups in the centre of any city, so be mindful and aware of these sketchy characters. We highly recommend this great Hostal in Madrid

My suggestions are: The room needs to have a good scent added to the space, as its closed up due to the airconditioners. Please add an ice tray for the freezer, toilet spray is always a win, extra pillows in the draws would be fantastic, a toaster and kettle would be perfect in the kitchen and should be added to allow extra options for guests, a dish towel to dry dishes and a spare bath matt incase of water splashes, Just some thoughts to improve the offerring :)

it is nice place on very key location, with access to metro, and on walking distance from the major important sightings in Madrid center. it was pretty useful for us as we made a day trip to valencia and it was a breeze to get the metro to railway station and then back to the hostel. And all the major musesum of prado the king's palace ect we just walked sightseeing the city.

The rooms are too small and narrow, and it was strange that bathroom was behind the bedroom, but is minor inconviniences, for the price range it was very good.

Location is quite central with Metro just across the road. Surrounded by 2 cafeterias that (unfortunately open at 9am) are actually quite comfortable for your morning coffee stop unless you're an early bird like me. Room is just enough for one person equipped with just what I needed. Cleanliness was super.

Noise from the neighbouring rooms which is not the hostel's fault in any way and water pressure in shower although very very very good, you have to watch out for the temperature of it as it can change temperature in seconds, 6 our of 10 times. Lift door seriously and urgently needs maintenance.

We visited in January 2025, 3 people. The location is perfect, 23 min walk to Atocha train station (mild slope all the way downhill from the hostal to the station). Easy to walk around city center from the hotel, plenty of nearby restaurants and bars. The staff was very friendly, check in/out was very easy, we arrived early morning and were granted luggage storage until check out. We toured around the city and returned early evening to check in. Small but clean room, hot water.

The room had no windows, however we didn’t mind, we only came to the hotel to sleep at night.

Very centrally located, easy check-in and check-out, even at irregular times of the day, spacious and comfortable room.

With one hour left to check-out time, I heard the cleaning lady and the receptionist talk over walkie-talkie about how my room hadn't freed up yet - not a matter of one comment and then on to the next room, but a two-minute conversation about my room with me in it. Apparently they're under a bit of pressure to clean the rooms fast once people leave, even with check-out time at reasonable 11 a.m.

A very nice hostel in a great location and super friendly staff. The less touristic neighborhood allows you to see the real Madrid. Tirso de Molina and Lavapies neighborhood have a great young and bohemian vibe. And still very close to the center. A very friendly staff (Mickie and Marcello and the others) who helped with every explanation I needed and responded to every request. They really did everything to make my staying the best. I'm so grateful.

The room is a bit small, especially the shower.

The location in Madrid could not be better. You have everything in just a short walk from the accommodation. The room was comfortable, basic and very clean. I cannot emphasis how clean this place is and the housekeeping staff where incredible. Bed was good and facilities in the room was adequate for exploring this incredible City. Wifi, bar fridge all add to the good side of this room which was bright and cheerful.

It's basic, good but, basic. Not the fault of the hotel but, it does get noisy outside at night in the square, in my experience until 4am at least. Music, shouting and talking, this is City life. The walls in our room were thin, you could hear other guests using their bathrooms.

liked the affordability and spaciousness of the facility. we stayed on the third floor and the facility does have a working elevator. The staff was welcoming and took their time explaining the procedures for the hostel.

due to the season the air conditioning was not working and would have liked to have ventilation in the room without needing to open the windows.

Friendly and helpful staff, nice facilities and comfortable bed. Central location with easy access to the metro, shops, restaurants, etc.

It was quite noisy on the street late at night, but that is a trade off we were willing to make for the centrality & easy access to the metro.

It was a great location, spotlessly clean, and came well enough appointed. The best feature, though, was the woman at reception. She was so efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly. She made the place feel really solid.

Wasn’t a fan of the lighting—it was cold and stark. The biggest detractor was that there was no real window. It seemed like they made the best of it, but it was a little strange feeling.
