I had a pleasant stay at this hostel, which is ideally located for exploring the area on foot. The property itself was generally comfortable, and the staff did a great job of keeping the bathrooms clean. The kitchen is available for use, which is a nice bonus. Although the bathrooms are shared, there are only 8 rooms and 3 bathrooms, so it never felt too crowded. Overall, it was a good experience, and I felt at ease during my stay.

While the mattress wasn't the most comfortable (please change the mattress), the room size was as expected for a hostel (very small).

We had a double room (couple) and we had in our opinion one of the best rooms! So spacious, bed was comfy, we had a closet, desk, smart TV with netflix, and a window with a view. Pictures weren’t catfish!!! The bathrooms were always kept clean and the kitchen was great and handy! The location couldn’t be anymore perfect! So close to the train, bus, shopping, supermarket around the corner (we recommend the carrefour over the lidl) and a few really good food spots (please check out yatai market and the kawaii cafe) the staff were super friendly and helpful. They even let us store our luggage for free in their foyer after we checked out so we could still explore before we left. Will happily book here again when we come back to madrid.

Only downside was that there was no aircon or fan in the room. We had to leave the windows open at night which didn’t really help and the outside street was really noisy.

I stayed in a double with shared facilities. I thought it was excellent minus the two issues below. The bathrooms were warm with heated towel rails and hot water. Beds were comfortable and it was clean & quiet.

The shower nearest my room had broken pipe luckily the other showers did work but it needs to be replaced & there could have been a sign to say it's better to use a different one. Secondly the cooker didn't work there was a sign in Spanish but not English also the sign was no where near the cooker so I didn't see it & purchased food to cook on it which was annoying!

Extremely comfortable, very clean. Central location and very close to public transport. Lots of facilities, beautiful common kitchen and bathrooms, pleasant atmosphere. Helpful stuff.

I did not find anything that I didn't like. Maybe just on first view the bed that was next to the wall but it was also ok at the end. Our room was not a colourful one as on the many photos, but I totally forgot when I came there that there were colourful rooms as I booked more accommodations in a time for the whole travel. In any case I was positively impressed of this accomodation.

We liked the hostel for the central location its easy to walk to attractions. Round the corner from the hostel is a Lidl Supermarket. The hostel is opposite the Museum of Illusions which is worth a visit. Across the road from the hostel is another hidden jem where they sell street food from various vendors. Uber is very handy in Madrid to get around if needed and not to expensive. The Hostel was very clean and tidy, The hostel is located on the 4th and 5th floors but has lift for easy access. Reception staff very helpful they gave us fresh towels after few days. The Kitchen area has Microwave,Kettle,Toaster if required and seating. The Toilets/Showers were very clean and kept to high standard. We enjoyed our time in Madrid and enjoyed the Palace and The Prado Museum. Thank to all staff at Home Plaza Mayor for looking after us and a big thank you to BOOKING.COM for the free taxi to the hostel on arrival.

Hot Water sometimes not available in mornings due to lots of people having showers. Madrid very busy but expected due to be a Captial City. Going Home After A Excellent Trip!!!

The location was perfect for wandering central Madrid. All facilities were clean and in great condition. There were plenty of bathrooms which were kept exceptionally clean for a hostel! Check-in was easy, staff were lovely, and it was incredibly affordable.

In the center so walking distance from a lot of places. Staff were friendly and constantly cleaning shared areas and bathrooms. Close to the square and a lot of great restaurants. Less than 10 minute walk to most places.

No AC which is typical for Europe but that meant we had to have all windows open and since we were in the center you could hear all the noise from outside very late at night. Not the hostels fault at all but just a heads up.

This was a return visit for us. The living room/kitchen area is comfortable and lots of seating. The place is on the 4th floor with a small but efficient elevator. Very clean and well maintained. Shared bath is not an issue as there are lots of showers and other.

The rooms are small so you won't want to be spending your time there. Get out and enjoy Madrid! You may find the frig packed with everyone's things and there is only a small microwave so plan on meals out.

The location is perfect , it’s near to almost everything. It is within the city center of Sol and everything is walkable to get you to most of the tourist spots in Madrid. The staff are all kind and friendly. The room is also clean and the bed is very comfortable. The air condition is best as it’s very hot when we spent our days touring around. It’s totally recommendable. I will surely come back!

Great location, close to the train station (20ish minute walk) and lots of great food/restaurants around. Staff friendly. Good common area with kitchenette

Shared bathroom was a bit odd, 2x toilet stalls and 2x shower stalls in one room. If someone was in the shower you cannot use the toilet. Shared with at least 5+ rooms too so made it hard to use sometimes
