Clean room! A very comfortable and firm bed. Narrow pillows (unusual to me), soft and comfortable. The room heat came on quickly when I needed it. I did turn the heat down for sleeping. Good outlets for charging phone and laptop. I noticed very little noise from the street or in the 4th floor hallway. The room had a kettle to boil water, packets of tea and instant coffee, and 2 bottles of water. Good sized bathroom. Hot shower with good water pressure. Drained well. Suggestion: Add signs that toilet paper should go into the basket. STAFF: Adelina at reception was very attentive. She coached me in using the QR code for contacting Le Room Service (see below) and also provided me with information about nearby restaurants and a corkscrew. Shirley was patient and helpful while I was making payment by phone before my arrival. Consuelo in housekeeping redirected me from the wrong floor more than once. The young men at Reception in the mornings also were cheerful and helpful. Apologies - I cannot remember the names. 5TH FLOOR BREAKFAST ROOM: The views of neighboring buildings and streets are wonderful. Breakfast was OK, but no complaints. Admittedly, I didn’t want to eat much before my daily walking tours. Suggestion: Though there are only a few stairs going into the breakfast room, a railing would be helpful. LOBBY: Coffee, tea, hot water and ice are available 24/7. Mid-day there were also small pastries, probably from breakfast, but the ones I had were fresh and tasty. LOCATION: The hotel is a few feet from the corner of Calle de Alcala, a main street. I loved walking everywhere even in the rain. Quite a few streets were blocked with large cement humps and open only to pedestrians and occasional slow-moving police cars. Meeting places for my tours were all within within a short walk: Puerta Del Sol less than 10 minutes; Plaza Mayor and the Prado Museum each about 15 minutes.

NEGATIVES - all minor: The draperies were somewhat shabby in my room (404). Several times upon entering, I detected an odor, but it was gone within seconds and remained a mystery. The bathroom was colder than the bedroom but tolerable. The room was a little dark at night despite numerous lights, but fortunately there were good reading lamps on the wall on either side of bed.

The room was comfortable, even larger than I expected (for a small room). The bathroom was very spacious with a great shower (very good water pressure). The breakfast was nice and very casual. The location of the hotel is superb. The bed was comfy.

A bit awkward reception area (in the middle of a stairway, there is an elevator, but then you have to go down the stairs to get to the reception). The closet in the room is very short (you can't hang a dress) with a lot of unused space above. A normal sized closet would make a huge difference, and would fit into the room without overcrowding it.

The location of the hotel is excellent, and the rooms are clean and well-maintained. Overall, it provides a comfortable and convenient stay.

However, there are a few downsides to note. Room service is available, but only until 2 PM each day, which can be a bit limiting. There is no staff available to help with luggage, and the elevator is quite small. Also, upon entering the hotel, there is a staircase and a separate elevator that takes you to the lobby — different from the elevator used to access the guest rooms — which can be inconvenient, especially if you have heavy bags.

A fantastic stay in the heart of Madrid Petit Palace Alcalá is perfectly located for exploring Madrid on foot — everything is just a short walk away. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day in the city. One of the highlights was the stunning breakfast area, set in a beautiful space with high ceilings and natural light, offering a generous and varied buffet. Plus, having a Starbucks and a TGI Fridays just across the street was an added bonus for quick bites or a familiar coffee fix. Highly recommended for anyone looking to stay in the city center with great comfort and convenience.

Excellent location with all the essential things that I expect (proximity to amenities, restaurants, fancy stores, as well as supermarkets, pharmacies, metro station).

The lack of privacy when in the bathroom as the door was made of glass. It was impossible to cool down the room due to it being centrally heated.

Excellent hotel in the very heart of Madrid! Perfect location at the walking distance from Puerta del Sol and main central streets of the city with shops, bars and restaurants. Extremely good breakfast with jamon, chorizo, eggs and bakery in the beautiful lunch hall with the views of the Madrid historic skyline and roofs. Personnel of the hotel is very nice and helpful. Strongly recommend for a city tourist trip or business trip to Madrid!

At first I didn't like the view of the interior room, as it was to the very small inner yard and the room was a little dark. However, after all it appeared a very nice choice to have good sleep, as the room was very quiet.

Location; very good location because next to the Metro station, close to the Puerta del sol, etc.. Also within the walking distance there are a lot of famous spot (museum, shopping area, restaurant,..). Room: In our case unfortunately 1st night it was Double bed room (small for us), but after 2nd night the Hotel immediately changed to twin bed room (fortunately we have available room, and thanks to the Hotel flexibility). This room is very good for us. Breakfast; Good. Hotel staff; Very good, Friendly, smiley and kindness (good hospitality) I felt.

Nothing about the Hotel from me. Only the problem might be the traffic jam on the road and when if you reach to this hotel by car in day time you might need to accept some patient for this.... If you don't like this, maybe the Metro is better. Up to your trip plan,

Excellent location and a great plus that you take dogs. Thank you for the free dog food on arrival and extra the next day :-) The reception manager and the staff when checked in are both very helpful, friendly, and professional Beautiful breakfast setting, friendly staff, and very good food choices to suit anyone's dietary requirements. Love the fresh juices and different fresh fruits on offer.

More like a wish list. The aircon seemed to need a bit of maintenance. Perhaps a refurb on the entrance and reception to make it more appealing. The elevators are too small, although there are two, but still small. But overall we had a great time and would stay again.

Great location. Staff were really friendly, helpful & efficient. Great breakfast, with a lovely view. The shower was one of the best showers I've had. It was really hot and powerful. I have suffered from head and neck issues since a fall, and 15 minutes in that shower was as good as seeing my osteopath! I felt so much better. And a comfy bed.

The room was dark and small, and the view was a brick wall. The coffee and tea station in the reception could do with a new kettle. The breakfast could be improved with the option of filter coffee that you could pour yourself from a jug. The machines took a lot of time or needed servicing, and there were queues. Great breakfast otherwise.
