Great location situated just 1 kilometre from the Jardin del Turia, a beautiful park which takes you to the famous attractions or to the town centre. The hotel was clean, a small underground garage and on street parking nearby. There are bars, restaurants and shops located within 500 metres of this hotel which is perfect if you do not want to re-visit the main town after a day of exploring. The lobby area had tourist information and a small space to regroup/plan activities for the day.

The breakfast was buffet with a variety of meets, cheese, breads and fruit available also fresh orange juice with tea and coffee. The restaurant staffs were very friendly and kept topping up the buffet. An enjoyable breakfast. The room was exceptionally large warm and clean as was the bathroom. The location was excellent within 30 minute walking distance to the old City Centre and port. Taxi's were also an option and affordable.

I could not fault this hotel and should I return to Valencia I will book this hotel again

The location was really good. Close to both city center, science park and the beach. The room i had was one of the modern ones. It was perfect for me. Good size, bed was good. Had good extra's like a fridge, safe, suitcase place, seats. Digital options for lights and airco. My room didnt have the old fashioned key. Breakfast was good enough.

Mostly smaller things to pick on. Below the bed they dont seem to clean that at all. The thick glass door to the bathroom moves badly. Same for the thick window curtain, it gets stuck easily. I still saw people with the old huge room keys. The shower cant be closed, so all the water sprays out. There is no toiletbrush, disgusting. The breakfast hall is tiny, so at busy times you might have to wait for others to leave. And it takes a minute for the coffee machine to make your coffee.

Very friendly staff, pretty good location and good cleanliness. The bathroom had a small bottle of shampoo, a small bottle of shower gel, soap, toilet paper (obviously ;) ), and one set of tooth brushing supplies (which was a bit surprising since we were a couple, but was a non-issue), with the washing supplies replenished daily. There was also a bidet and a hair dryer in addition to the ubiquitous bathroom appliances. The wifi was good. I want to specifically highlight the buffet breakfast which in my opinion was amazing since I expected coffee/tea and some pastry, but in addition to great pastry selection there were fruit and some veggies (~3 varieties), jamón and some other meaty stuff, different kinds of yoghurt, cheese, granola as well as several kinds of juice.

It was possible to hear what was happening in the hall outside the room, but it didn't bother us too much.

The location is great, close to the park, to the metro and bus (4 that runs through the centre) and also to Russafa district where we chose to eat and drink in the evening, so it was nice to be able to walk back to the hotel in about 20 mins!

The double beds are two singles on wheels which we sometimes managed to move during our sleep, and also the rooms are a bit outdated, a small renovation in the rooms could solve this problem.

Everything was perfect. The staff was just amazing and so helpful. They were smiling all the time. The breakfast they serve is delicious and there is a variety of things you can eat. Cleaning ladies were in our room every day and everything was spotless. The location is also great - you have a bus stop literally 2 minutes from the hotel and there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The staff knows english so there's no problem if you don't know spanish. We totally recommend this place!!

Hotel Villacarlos is a solid choice for a short stay in Valencia. The rooms are clean and functional, with comfortable beds and good air conditioning. It's conveniently located near the City of Arts and Sciences and well connected to public transport. The staff were friendly and check-in was smooth. Not luxurious, but great value for the price – ideal if you're out exploring most of the day.

good value for money - its not the most modern of hotels, but for us, when we visit a city, we do not spend too much time in the room. room was very clean, good shower/bathroom. breakfast you can have in the hotel, but we went out to have in one of the small places around the corner.

The thing that I liked the most was that you can do the check in 24/7 because the front desk is always open. This was crucial in my trip because the plane was at night. I also liked the friendly staff and appreciated that they solved one odubt that I had. That are efficient. Moreover, the bed was comfortable and the room large. I also liked that there were elevators.

The sink didn't work properly, the water didn't go down as usual. It can be improved.

My room was really tidy, clean, had everything I needed and more (dental kit!), many options on lighting and cooling. Bathroom was beautiful, water was hot, staff was super kind and available, price was very good. I'd return!

Position is ok, not exceptional but you do have buses that take you around. My room was the "blind well" facing one, but I knew it so it was not an issue
