The location of The Stratford is perfect for anyone wanting to visit Westfield Shopping Centre, Abba Voyage Arena or the Olympic Village. It was £9.50 in an uber to the Abba Arena and the journey took 7 minutes. The walk to Westfield is 5 minutes and the station is a 10 minute stroll. The hotel is a lovely standard and very clean. The rooms were a good size, the bathroom was nice, the shower worked well and the refreshments provided in the room (for a charge) were as expected. We had the pod coffee's (inclusive) and bought two bottles of water. The bed was comfortable and there is a thermostat on the wall for heating and cooling the room. Breakfast at The Stratford provided something for every diet. I enjoyed the greek yogurt and granola. There's a good selection of continental options with guests given the choice of one meal from a hot menu. Filter coffee and breakfast tea is included along with water and juice. Specialist coffees are extra. We arrived back at the hotel after a night out at 9.45pm. We just caught the restaurant for a late meal from the usual full menu. I'd recommend not leaving it quite that late - but the food was nice, as expected. The bar was well attended at that time of night but not overly packed. Mainly couples or small groups sitting down with drinks. There was table service and the staff were very attentive. Check out was smooth and quick. We resolved a little issue over overpayment at check in where we hadn't been advised about a £50 deposit payment. We left our luggage in a store while we had breakfast then left. A very enjoyable stay and would go again!

At check in, the receptionist who assisted us didn't advise us that the hotel take a £50 deposit payment which is refunded on check out. I enquired the next morning as to why I'd been charged more than the reservation fee on Booking.com and the policy was explained. I then recieved a refund of £44 two days later, less two bottles of water from the mini bar. We also weren't advised that breakfast was included, where it was served and the times. However, we rang reception from the room and got all the information we needed.

Rooms are well-designed, hotel is in great location for transport

The room deposit is ridiculous . I can understand a room deposit, but this hotel takes 50 pounds per night upfront. So if you’re staying for 4 or 5 nights it adds up. The refund takes a while, so they have the use of your money all that time. I’m sure this is a nice little earner for the hotel. A deposit for the first night would be genuine, but I am not 4 times the risk because I am staying 4 nights. Housekeeping was a a bit amateurish.

I liked the location as it was so near to Stratford International Station which was useful for my onward journey. Also it is very near to the Westfield Shopping Centre, which has excellent independent shops, as well as high street favourites. There are excellent food halls in Waitrose and M&S as well as an Eastern food market with a wide range of places to eat. The hotel staff were lovely and I got upgraded to a suite which was great. The hotel is very clean and comfortable with good facilities. The breakfast choice was excellent.

I had to chase to get my room made up on the second day. It was an oversight by housekeeping but reception sorted it promptly.

Communications from the hotel were excellent leading up to our stay. They also managed to reserve our rooms together, which was much appreciated. We loved the design and quality of furnishings. Rooms were comfortable and very clean. Great location for transport links, the Westfield Centre, Olympic Park etc. Good buzz in the bar area in the evening. Staff were friendly, and helpful. Breakfast was good with hot choices available to order, although the buffet plates were often almost empty, and the choice was a bit lacking. The coffee at breakfast was better. The Cocktails we had were very nice. Overall, we really did like the hotel, and would easily stay there again.

Although hot options were good, the breakfast buffet choice was a bit limited and the plates were almost empty (meats and fruit in particular) on the two mornings we were there. Coffee at night from the restaurant or bar was very poor (we did not drink it), but the normal coffee at breakfast was okay. Evening restaurant food did not seem to translate so well from the menu description. As a consequence we ate elsewhere locally for the rest of our stay. The wine should be served at correct or better temperature (red was very cold and the white not so cold). Three of us had a different glass of wine each.

Clean, modern nicely appointed rooms and communal areas. Great bar and outer terrace.

Tried to charge my room for breakfast when I had paid for breakfasts on booking the room… I had to explain on 3 separate occasions to waiting staff that I did not owe anything for breakfasts! Mini bar prices not advertised anywhere in the room and no information on check in regarding what (if anything) was complimentary, so it really was a guessing game… we left well alone after reading reviews about over priced minibar items charged to room… And then sure enough, 1 day after I checked out, a minibar charge left my bank account - just all felt a little too dishonest to me…

Location excellent for the Stadium and rail links. Staff very pleasant. Room well appointed. Dinner expensive but well cooked and presented.

Glad we read reviews about the extortionate price of snacks in the room. No packs of biscuits to nibble on included. It took 3 staff to try to find a dinner menu for us to look at!!! Disorganised. No slimline drinks except diet coke available. No decaf tea or coffee in the room either. Lighting could be better, especially since they don't have it in the lifts!!! Only low lighting nearer the floor!?!

Fantastic hotel. Bed is so comfortable. Its right infront of stratford international Station so very accessible. The Westfield mall is a 30 second walk. Room is lush and luxurious. Loved it

Nothing bad. The bathroom smelled a little moldlt although it didnt have mold. Lush bathroom.

The breakfast was fantastic and good value for money. There was lots of choice and the food was of excellent quality. We were automatically upgraded to a Superior room which was a lovely surprise upon booking in. The staff were professional and attentive throughout. The room was clean and of a nice quality with great facilities.

We were warned by a local that the area has been subject to a lot of crime in the area (particularly mobile phone thefts). We didn’t feel safe at night when venturing off of the main streets. We were surprised that accommodation and breakfast service charges had been added to our bill upon checkout. We had not been aware of these and they were removed without questioning.

Good hotel, value for money for London area, close to the Westfield mall with several restaurant options and shops! Very clean room, the maid were amazing, truly excellent cleaning.

Waitress lied regarding happy hour oysters, told me they didn’t have anymore oysters but an hour later, after the happy hour passed, there was a couple eating oysters in the restaurant, of course I asked and they told me they have had a reservation (who’s making reservations and says I will need a dozen oysters?, nobody asked me upon my reservation). Another tiny issue was with the ladies in the reception, very cold, some of them borderline rude. The rest of the staff was amazing.

I stayed in a beautiful deluxe suite and I am so glad that I did. The room itself was absolutely incredible, with the bed being probably the most comfortable one I have stayed in in a while! The staff were really attentive, kind and approachable, any questions I had were answered swiftly. I had very good room service where the food was exquisite. The floor to ceiling windows were a very nice touch and I enjoyed watching the East London bustle go up and down throughout the day. The bathroom was outstanding. The bathtub was luxurious and the shower was perfect too.

The only criticism I have is that there should be more apps available on the TV. I forgot my HDMI cable so I wasn't able to use my laptop either. But I was able to sign into YouTube.
