Stopped at Holiday Inn Express, Preston South, on way to collect new car in Blackburn on Saturday morning. Drove down from Edinburgh and received warm and friendly welcome on arrival. Other than that, couldn't fault the whole experience. Exceptional service from staff, particularly the gentleman who was assisting the front desk staff, on Friday night, and also working with the Breakfast team on the Saturday morning!! The guy lives & breathes exceptional customer service. Couldn't do enough to ensure our stay was a great experience. Room was roomy, clean & comfortable. Only point, which is a personal one, bed a little too soft for me, but my wife slept like a log!!

Only down side was we were advised that our dog (Maverick) was an additional cost (£15) and was not included in our Booking.com booking, which was not highlighted at time of booking! However, the team provided him with a bag of dog treats and made him feel right at home, so no real issue, but would be nice to be made aware of all charges upfront!

My daughter and I were pleasantly surprised, we loved our room, very clean the colour scheme was lovely the bathroom was amazing the shower was awesome, perfect, the beds were comfortable we had a very peaceful sleep, and the rd wasn't too far so that goes to show that the rooms are well sound proofed, the restaurant was busy, the food was tasty, a wide variety, the only downside was that there was a que were people were waiting for foods to be topped up as there was alot of people who had arrived this wknd.

Just the tables were we ate needed cleaning and also needed to remove someone else's left over food and dirty plates, cups etc.... 😞🤔

The hotel's location is excellent. We chose to stay here because it's conveniently close to the motorway. It saved us time, money, and fuel when heading out the next morning toward the north of England. We had a smooth late check-in around 1 AM, even though the official check-in time is listed until 11 PM. Just make sure to call the hotel in advance to let them know, and they will arrange the late check-in without any issues. Hot breakfast was great with plenty of options. Coffee was really good too!

The breakfast included was amazing and everything you would like is available. Staff are so friendly especially Claire the breakfast supervisor. Nothing is too much trouble. The house keeping staff keep the rooms spotless. The evening meals are good quality. Free parking and great for people with disabilities

Work was going on with electrics and improving Internet speed Internet kept flickering.

Lovely hotel! Staff are really friendly and helpful. Room was a great size for us and our dog, and very clean. Dove shampoo and bodywash is provided. Breakfast was lovely with a range of English breakfast items (eggs, bacon, sausages etc) as well as croissants, muffins, yoghurt and cereals. Parking was easy as there are plenty of spaces, and the outdoor area is nice, too.

Only thing I would complain about is the food prices. £16 for a pizza is steep. Having said that, there didn't appear to be an issue with ordering food to eat in our room.

The hotel had a very welcoming atmosphere with the staff being very polite and welcoming also efficient. The breakfast was very tasty. We liked that dogs are welcome here. We had a fairly comfortable nights sleep the bed was clean and comfy.

Unfortunately there was a lot of construction work being done outside of the hotel as one goes into the car park it’s also very difficult to see the disabled parking. The wet room although initially looked clean and smelled nice on closer inspection on the pull down shower seat there was a lot of ingrained dirt on it and the “shower tray” really needs to be replaced for it to make one feel clean.

The breakfast selection was good with a choice of full English or cereals, toast, croissant, yogurts etc although we didn't find any fruit juices on offer. The hotel did provide us with a quieter room as per our request which we were grateful for.

When packing to leave we always check that nothing had gone under the beds & we were quite surprised to find items of what looked like food under one of the beds so clearly the cleaners had not been particularly thorough in their cleanliness which is a shame as the hotel & staff were very nice.

Room was very clean and fresh smelling asked for extra pillows was not a problem able to get dinner at 8.30 pm without problems it was very nice, breakfast was ok eggs were a bit tasteless I don’t think they were fresh had a taste of powder egg but the rest was ok buffet style witch was good so you could have as much as you wanted staff are extremely friendly and helpful 10/10 for customer service well done

Easy to find easy access to the motor way brilliantly located

We always stay at this hotel as it is in a perfect location for easy access to thr M61 / M60 / M6. We always go to the Traddord Shopping Centre as its only 30 minutes from this hotel. Plus we always visit Preston Town centre which is ideal for another shopping day. This has a lovely lounge to chill out in and have a few drinks, staff are lovely and always helpful. Loads of free parking on site.

Thr Breafast needs to have more cooked items. They offer many alternatives but for the last 3 years or so, it is the same 4 items that are cooked. Bacon / sausages/ Scrambled Egg / Beans. The Jam etc for toast is now in a bowl instead of little tubs and they have got rid of marmite totally. I like branded foods and with the complements for the toast now in bowls, you could be eating cheap value brands. The butter and marg are still in little tubs, so you know what your eating. This is cost saving but no reduction in cost of rooms etc.. Premier inn do a better selection on food to be honest.

I have stayed here a couple of times because the location is great, just off the motorway. The hotel is always spotlessly clean and the breakfast is great. I like the fact the food is always hot. Great budget hotel.

I can’t say there is anything to dislike about this hotel, given it’s probably used by most for a brief stay. I wouldn’t stay here for a holiday as it lacks facilities such as a gym etc… but I don’t thinks that’s what it’s intended for.
