Mode of transportation. There are no public transport available Hence , either you need to have your own car or you need to rely on taxi ( which is bit expensive)

Lomavekarit Apartments is located just outside the center in an enchanted place near the river. This tranquility allowed us to admire the Aurora directly from home. The owner was kind and available to accommodate our requests and help us in times of need.

A little far from the center if you haven't rented a car but just organize yourself with a shuttle

The apartment was very clean which is very important to me since I'm travelling with a little child. It's spacious (in our case for 2 people), fully equipped iif you want to.prepare meals like at home or wash your clothes. We enjoyed also sauna. Very nice location besides the river, with the nice view on the mature from the terrace and ideal for observing northen lights from our doorsteps, which was the man reason why we have chosen this property. Since it is out of the city and we didn't have a car, we used transfer service offered by the ovner and this turned to be cheaper than if we would use city taxi, Uber or ren a car. Mr. Tahir, the owne,r, is very kind, always available, at the service instantly for anything you might need (from the needle, adsitional clean towels to the realtime nitifications of the aurora) and very punctual for the transfers. We liked the stay in Lomavekarit very much, my little one even wanted to stay longer :-), and if there will be an opportunity to return, we'll certainly stay there.

At the time of our stay, these apartments were in an idyllic, snowy setting between two frozen straits of water, which were accessed along a quiet snow-covered road. This was perfect for our winter stay in Lapland and was a fun 30-minute walk or (sled-pull!) to the bus stop for the number eight bus to Santa's Village, which was also where the local supermarket was located. The accommodation was clean, warm, comfortable, well-equipped and an excellent size for our family of four. The sauna was great and the shower powerful. Finally, the owner Tahir was amazing - friendly, spoke English, responded quickly to queries and offered a well-priced taxi service to / from the airport and Santa's Village. I would definitely recommend this place for your stay in Lapland!

We would totally recommend this apartment. It was warm and welcoming and provided us with everything we needed. The best aspect was the location. Because it is father away from the city, we got the chance to see the northern lights from the yard and from our living room.

I really enjoyed spending a few days here. The apartment is spacious, comfortable and has a beautiful view to the river. The kitchen was fully equipped and had some food such as coffee, sugar, chocolate and some types of pasta. There's also a washing machine and hair dryer. The sauna was easy to use and relaxing. Tahir is a nice host, he explained me how to use the sauna and offers transfers between the apartment, the airport and Santa Claus village. I managed to see the northern lights during my stay. I'll definitely be back for Christmas some day.

The apartment with the sauna was very functional and comfortable. It was -27°C when we were there. The sauna and heater of the apartment really helped us to overcome the extreme cold during our stay. The location is very secluded and quiet. Beautiful sky over the frozen lake in front and backyard of our apartment. We managed to catch Auroras just from our balcony on our 3rd night . Our host, Mr Thohir was very helpful and we use his transportation service to go Ounasvaara Ski resort, Santa Claus Village, supermarket to buy groceries as well as to Airport. 5 star service by Mr Thohir. Keep up your good service.

I had been in Rovaniemi a few years prior, and during a tour, people were dropped off at Lomavekarit. I remembered how lovely the buildings looked in the snow with the lights and how beautiful the scenery around it was. So this was my first choice this trip, and it exceeded my already high expectations. I was traveling with a friend this time, and the apartment was perfect. One had the bedroom and the other the sofa bed. (Which was very comfy!) But the sauna was the big hit. The care and service from Tohir was amazing. We saved quite a lot of money using his transfer service versus renting a car. Reliable, on time and so kind. Lomavekarit is my go to when ever in Lapland from now on.

Tahir is an exceptional host! He went above and beyond to assist us with everything, even helping to plan a special birthday surprise for my wife. The apartment was perfect—clean, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. While the location is a bit outside the city, we initially had some concerns since we didn’t rent a car. However, the transfer service proved to be a fantastic option, ultimately more convenient and cost-effective than renting a car or relying on taxis. Highly recommend!
