We really liked the hotel. Private parking (free) was a big plus. Our room was very atmospheric, the towels and linen were perfectly white. There wasn't stuffy (perhaps due to the rainy weather), we didn't hear our neighbors. Everything in the hotel breathes history. The cute little things didn’t bother us - actually, we liked them! The hotel is located in a quiet location, but many attractions can be reached very quickly. Breakfast was varied and very good. The staff was friendly, took into account all our wishes upon check-in. Thank you very much for your hospitality!
Maybe the pillows were too soft (in our opinion)

The hotel is eclectic and has a ton of character. The room was both charming and a tad bizarre, but in the most positive way. The breakfast was nice and offered great options. The location is excellent.
The porcelain dolls above the bed were a little restless at night and woke us up a few times, but they seemed harmless, so we continued sleeping, even though horror films should have taught us otherwise. But it is all good, and we are writing this review, so there is nothing to worry about. The bed was a tad too soft, but this is because it is kind of like quicksand, if not too careful might sink in.

The location is wonderful, right by the Puolalanpuisto park area, a really nice part of the city centre. Very friendly staff. The hotel is in a stunning old building and has a very quirky feel to it. The rooms have proper mini bars!! Extremely quiet for being in the middle of the city.
I get the idea that the hotel has old world charm, but some aspects are seriously out of date: old curtains, tiling and wood panelling etc, which would require some refreshing. The bedding in our room was also too soft.

Great central location in the city. Super quiet location at the end of a street by a park. Historical building with a lot of vintage details and decorations. If you are looking for a modern chic, this is not for you. This place is an experience. A boutique hotel if you like. I would definitely visit them again. A great breakfast included in the room price.
The bathroom would benefit from updating the furnishing, even when everything was clean and neat and working perfectly. Can't find much more to put here.

The room had character, was spacious and furnished eclectically with colourful objects. I’ve never shared a room with a life sized china hunting dog before! The breakfast room was full of things to look at, rather like visiting grandparents’ houses, and like grandma’s, the food was excellent, plentiful and varied. Importantly, all staff were incredibly helpful. Not the modern Scandinavia vibe- and different is good.
Some people could find the decor a little overwhwlming.

Absolutely outstanding cozy hotel, a lovely tourist gem in a quiet corner of central Turku. Run with great respect to its historic & highly atmospheric ambience, it is definitely worth staying for a short stay. Soft bed, sufficient breakfast, highly client-oriented attitude
Please mind quite moderate size of rooms and those being a bit shabby, esp if you expect a usual scandinavian 4 stars. But still believe you will not regret your choice

Beds were very comfy. Breakfast was good.
Bathroom was a bit dated and there was a leak from under the bath. They tried to charge for parking (15euros/day) even though the website and room info say free parking for residents. Luckily I had printed off my booking receipt which also showed free parking, which they accepted.

This is an old-fashioned "proper" hotel with unique decoration in each room. It had a homely feel and character. The breakfast had plenty of options for everyone with good space. Location was great - a short walk from the city, backing onto a park. There is outdoor seating and a bar in reception offering local beers. We had a big roll-top bath as well as a shower.
This is not a sleek chain hotel but offers a personalised experience. For example, you could ask at reception for a drink but there were no facilities in the rooms for this. We were OK getting in and out of the bath for the shower but this may be an issue for the less able so it would be worth mentioning this at booking. If you have rambunctious children, this may not be the hotel for you! (too many opportunities for breakages!)

Lovely retro vibe and atmosphere and cute outdoor area. The hotel feels like it's from the set of fawlty towers or an Agatha Christie show. Makes for great pictures and overall very happy with it. Location is also good, nearby several sights as well as a park. Nearby the train station and bus terminal as well. Room size is also good and loved that we had real plants in our windows and climbing plants outside our window. Very scenic. Breakfast was small but staff brought out new plates quickly, dining area is also very unique. Outdoor space available.
The rooms are in desperate need of a deep clean. We had stained curtains and bed cover, and black gunk in the corners of the shower. We asked staff about a broken light and a broken soap dispenser, of which only the first was fixed.

The place is nice and the staff is nice. Breakfast is also good. Generally it is good.
Unfortunately the neighbor room was so loud. They started party in their own hotel room since evening, and continued until 5am ish. They were quiet for a while after we called the reception, but again around 3:am they came back from somewhere and continued partying. So you are really at the merci of other fellow travelers, and some of them were really full of energy.
