We had a really nice experience staying here. Very professional staff, although the check-in process took longer than we would have liked. Do the pre-check-in online! The hotel itself is unique experience in a fabulous, well-connected location! The room was a little basic, with small windows. Still a nice view. You could call to reception for extra neck pillows, etc. Nice bathroom. Overall definitely worth the stay, if the price is moderate!

quiet, feel like living in old ages

A staff who worked at 8am on 30th AUG in the reception is so irresponsible and she doesnot have any single service minds. Her collegue who worked in previous day must have made mistakes not to leave my card paymeny receipt and he promised me to give all when I checked out but he didnot leave anything. When I checked out, I asked that irresponsible person to give me all receipts but she refused me to give and tell me not to give anything and it is her collegue' mistake and kept telling me "I donot know and can not help you". Well.. do you think she is right ? I cannot understand it at all.

I need gluten free bread. We payed for bed and breakfast (which is not cheap) and the person in charge of the restaurant put me problems or limitations every day when I asked for my bread. They didn't want to give me "too many bread buns", or brought me 2 when I asked for 3, or brought me no muffin, only after repeated requests. It's embarrassing that such a fancy and expensive place is greedy concerning a couple of bread buns, specially taking into account that all the other clients could take as much as they wanted.

Breakfast was very delicious, with diverse choices of food; I very much liked the beans and vegetables and great coffee. The room was spacious, with a nice desk for work, good lighting, and a nice view of the sixth floor. I also enjoyed the fancy bathroom; the soap was superb, enough towels, very comfortable bed. The room was also quiet. The location was ideal as I could walk through the beautiful park to the conference center every morning, and the U3 train was just a few m away if I wanted to go to the city. If one has time, it is also very easy to take a walk to the city center. It takes about 40 minutes.

I have no complaints. Initially, I was surprised that there was no restaurant open in the evening, but one could get good food also in a bar, where they serve very good wine.

I booked a double room but was given a twin room. Since I arrived too late at night, I didn’t have the time and energy to go all the way back and discuss it but I wouldn’t have expected it given the price difference and reputation of the hotel. Furniture in the room looked quite old. Shower had was a disaster.

Nice location with nice views of Hamburg. Nice area with a lot of restaurants around. Cool design of the building and common areas. Nice breakfast and comfortable bed.

The fitness center could be a bit bigger with at least an extra mattress on the floor and some extra weights. It was a bit difficult to find the right way to the hotel as some streets had been closed off. Luckily the hotel is on a hill, so we could see it and try out new roads to reach destination!

I love everything. The best hotel I ever stayed in my life. I'll definitely come back again.

Overall, we've enjoyed staying at Movenpick. The location is convenient to reach the other parts of the city. If you'd need to snack at night, you're able to reach the restaurants and other options. Breakfast was great. Yegane checked us in, and she was welcoming and friendly. We had a room towards the upper floors with a view of the city.

Noise isolation let us down. On one of the days, there was some sort of a party going on, and we ended up having to listen to some music we'd rather not, until midnight. The windows were closed, but there was no way to save ourselves from the music, presumably coming from the park nearby.

Very original building, beautifuly decorated and very clean and cozy.

It's not that anyone was rude or anything but we didn't feel particularly welcome by the staff : no explanations about the hotel or room, and no "hello" or goodbye when we walked past the reception. Polite but not particularly involved.
