Very cure hotel, high ceiling in the room, really nice decoration, I loved the bedside lights! The bed is super comfortable. The bathroom is nice and clean, good size, everything you need. There is a fridge and a small balcony looking over the busy street. The guy was super helpful and nice, every room has a different name. You get an actual key to the room, not a card! The location is very good, easily accesible by public transport, in a very busy young neighbourhood with ridiculous amount of restaurants around, also grocery stores. I had to do research, I believe the place is named after Hamburg's most famous serial killer, maybe I'm wrong, but it's a cool story if it's true. :) I should've asked! :) The water pressure in the shower is insane, I couldn't use it full, it was too much for me, but Seinfeld taught me that is a desirable thing. There is free coffee and tea, mugs, English channels on TV. Free earplugs, were not needed, but there is construction going on right outside, also the train, but it's quiet at night. Pretty cool place!

Construction right outside, it's noisy during the day. The neighbourhood can be too loud, many people walking by all the time, like thousands, constantly! Also the train, if the balcony door is open. A lot of graffiti everywhere around, which can make it seem unsafe, also you might see some weird people around. Plugs for charging phones are not convenient, we unplugged the coffee maker. The curtains are not enough, no day time curtain, we were on the first floor, so everyone could see us, not that they wanted to, but it was possible. The stairs a bit too small, curved, but that's normal in old buildings. The shower pressure was too much for me, if you want to wash your face, it would actually hurt badly! No air circulation, but there is a fan in the room. No breakfast.

Fabulous little hotel. Opposite a metro station on the U Bahn and S Bahn so very easy to get around the city - 15 minutes from hotel door to the water's edge. And the local area has tonnes of good restaurants and bars. Despite the location, it's really quiet, the windows are amazing. Comfy beds too. Oh, and if you tell them you don't want your room cleaning, you can take a beer from the mini bar for every day that's skipped!

No A/C, which could be a problem in the summer.

The rooms in the hotel seems to be all different. We had the one with mezzanine. It was a very warm day but the temperature in the room was very ok. Also very quiet at night because the windows were facing an inner courtyard. Nicely decorated room and hotel overall. Very kind and helpful staff, swift reply to different questions before our stay. I also really liked the surroundings.

The beds - both the one downstairs and the ones on the mezzanine - were too hard for our taste. Hotel a bit expensive.

Great location, very close to the subway and bus station. Large and comfortable room. Very friendly and helpful staff.Coffee and tea available in the room were my salvation, considering I was leaving early to attend a conference. Kind and helpful staff!!!

In the bathroom there is a bathtub, a little uncomfortable. The room was cold on arrival, but it was enough to turn on the heater to have a nice warmth

The location is great and the price, for Hamburg, is pretty reasonable. It has a nice vibe.

When we lost our key (that part is on us) it took 3h and two trips to another location to get the correct replacement, and then at the checkout we got charged 50 euros for it. They said they normally charge 90. It was a basic key with a generic label that we could have copied on the corner for €5. So guess the lesson is, if you lose one, copy your replacement before checkout?

Great location, area is awesome with restaurants, cafes, shopping close by. Friendly chap at front desk welcomed me and let me borrow a phone charger. Room was clean, comfortable and had good natural light.

Humid weather and no air conditioning so had to sleep with windows open, con of location was being in a transient area so it was quite loud late at night and there was construction directly outside in the early morning so it made for somewhat of an unpleasant sleep.

Fritz in Pyjama shows how boutique hotels can be accessible. It's a low budget stay with some extra perks. The focus in detail, from the naming of the rooms, until the toiletries they use, all is very thought through. Very friendly staff who goes above and beyond, and I appreciated a kettle in the room.

The hotel can get stuffy in summer. The check-in is very late, and there's almost no space at the reception in case you'd like to leave your luggage, so bear this in mind. The check-in as at 4pm, and the reception closes at 5pm, which pretty much doesn't leave you much choice, and your flexibility is limited. The vicinity of S-Bahn line makes it a little noisier, but they provide you with ear plugs, which definitely helps.

The location is perfect, in the heart of lively Sternschanze, plenty of cafés and restaurants, 2min from the S-Bahn/U-Bahn Station. Very elegant, cozy style. Our was very clean, spacious, quiet (window on the backyard). Dog-friendly. Staff very friendly and always ready to assist. Highly recommended!

The squeaky doors and the bed could be better mantained.

The location is close to the Messe, walking distance 13min thrpugh a nice park. There is a great falafel restaurante with great reviews and it it really gooood! The hotel was simple but had everything you would need. a bit noisy in the morning but i was early for work so it did not bother me, and they give you plugs

They could have better curtains to block the light.

The location was great! The stations of the s and u lines were across the street. Although the window of the room faced the busy street, it was quiet inside. The room was big and looked nice.

The room smelled of cigarette smoke. Either someone had been smoking in the room or the smell was coming from the street where seemed to be some kind of informal smoking place.
