Location was great and the historic feel was lovely. Very clean.

The shower would benefit from a curved rod the make showering in the small tub space comfortable. Housekeeping did a lovely job but we suggest that 8:30 / 9:00am is too early for rooms to be attended to in the morning. We were barely awake when the knock came to make up the room. Coffee in the room was convenient but perhaps some bottled water should be supplied.

Excellent location. Our rooms were quiet. While the hotel needs refreshing (is very tired looking), it was very pleasant and comfortable. At the end of the day a good night’s sleep is paramount and it delivered!

Breakfast (included in price) was very unimpressive. I guess a basic breakfast is fine but coffee was awful. Gotta have good coffee! Fruit salad was pre-packaged. Why not serve Quebec-grown apples and promote “Quebec local”? Cereal included Froot Loops, among other standard cereals. Really? Staff came in once in a while to clean up so service could be stepped up there, too.

The front staff particularly I believe her name was Sheina? Was incredibly kind and attentive. Positive attitude all around from the moment we arrived. The room was spacious and was clean.

Unfortunately, the WiFi was not working in our room. It was not a big deal to us as we have cellular data/hotspot we could use but I do want to recognize the amazing staff for trying to rectify the issue. They called a technician to try to solve the WiFi issue as well as gave us the options of moving into a different room for the remainder of our stay. Really was not a big issue for us but overall our stay was positive and wonderful.

Location, the architecture, clean, comfortable

The breakfast planning needs an update. Only one carafe of coffee, a smaller one for hot water…they could easily buy a couple more, there were always people waiting as there is only one person on staff for the breakfast who is trying to keep up with doing everything and won’t stop to make coffee until the dishes are done. (Not their fault). When hot water and coffee came out again, there was an immediate line up as people ate their breakfast without a beverage and then it was empty again. Over 5 days, we went at different times and it was always the same (also no milk for the cereal). Never saw a fork so we used a knife and spoon to eat. No decaf coffee. (But they did provide decaf pods when requested for the room coffee which was very nice.)

Chateau Versailles is a very pleasant hotel and we had a comfortable stay. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom facilities were excellent as well. It was a (pleasant) surprise when we found that our rate included a pretty good continental breakfast as well.

We probably should have read the information better but the fact that there is no way up from the street level other than quite a long flight of stairs was a bit of a downer. To be fair, the hotel offered to send someone down to collect our bags but we decided to do it ourselves.

Chateau Versailles is a lovely, unassuming old Montréal hotel that is perfectly located on Sherbrooke Street, just steps away from great shops, restaurants, museums, and businesses. What they lack in wiz-bang modern decor, they more than make up for in friendliness, cheerful and extremely accommodating service, comfortable beds, good free wifi, and serious value: sure, you can find flashier, more "Instagrammable" hotels in the neighborhood, but you'll pay two to three times the room rate!

I have no complaints about the Chateau Versailles. The only negative thing I can think of is that there are no elevators, and even if you stay on the ground floor, you still have to navigate a rather steep staircase to get into the lobby. But that's a Me problem (aging knees!)

Great pet-friendly hotel in the heart of Montreal! Staff were pleasant and accommodating. I was staying with my cat & dog and we had a.big beautiful room on the 4th floor....lots of stairs😅. Please note this location has no elevator! Daily continental breakfast included with stay. Free open WiFi. Working electric fireplace in room.

Could not figure out how to use the TV. It would not let me cast & did not connect to any cable or streaming services. Windows all opened, which was great - but no mesh screens so beware if you have a curious cat (as I do).

I would rate the hotel 11/10, staff were so friendly and nice. Room service is 10/10, they provided us everything we asked for. Would definitely book again on our next trip. I actually booked the Standard but since it was my birthday, the staff were so nice so they upgraded our room to king room, which is a bigger room with nice views. breakfast was good too!

Not enough toiletries for the shower but overall everything was okay. Room is big, enough for a couple but only thing that bothered us in the room was too cold and floor was making squeaky sounds and you could hear some noices when people are walking but still, our stay was 10/10 and staff were really nice!

The room was comfortable and breakfast was very good. The two young people who staff the breakfast room were trying very hard but they need more training especially to ensure that the keep surveying the room to note what is missing, trays which are empty and need replenishing. The sign asking guests to please return their dishes and clear their table after eating should be much larger so that the staff don't have to clear the tables on top of looking after the food and keeping it flowing.

I can't honestly say that I noted anything that made me feel uncomfortable. This hotel is charming and very well located. I have many happy memories of this hotel from years ago. It is much pricier now but I still find that it is worth the cost.

My room was large and well appointed.. I enjoyed the artsy feel to the hotel. I loved that there was a bath and a Nespresso machine! Very reasonable price given how close it is to downtown and with breakfast included. The breakfast was continental but included more than what I had expected. The breakfast included hard boiled eggs, ham, croissants, fruit salad and more. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. Thank you!

The water wasn't very hot for some of my stay, particularly in the a.m.. Also, the wifi didn't work very well for some of my stay. Despite the nice spread for the continental breakfast, the coffee was terrible!
