The hotel was very crowded and rather dated, with a noticeable unpleasant smell in the hallways — thankfully, the room itself was clean and didn’t have the same issue. The room was large and spacious, with clean linens and towels, and overall cleanliness was good. Breakfast was served in a space far too small for the size of the hotel, which made it feel hectic and uncomfortable. The food offering was typical for many 3-star hotels in the Canada and U.S.: pre-packaged butter and jam, powdered eggs, and waffle batter from a plastic jug. They offer paid parking, which was helpful, and the location is convenient, just steps away from Chinatown and the Old Town.

Everything is well for sure. The location facilitate the visitors to access each corner of the town.

Me, my sister and our dog loved the location of this property and its proximity to most places of interest by walking😊 we also loved that we felt secure at the hotel and that they were dog friendly ( very dog friendly especially reception! Lana our dog loved her time over there ) the studio room with two queen beds we got was huge and cozy despite it being a bit old but still lovely and warm 😊

On our last night, there was a disturbing commotion outside ( along the corridor) which was quite audibly loud from our room as we were trying to sleep early. Our dog got startled too & started to bark at the door quite loudly because of that. It sounded like someone was attacking someone ( not sure what happened but we were too afraid to even sneak) . I hope this has been addressed as I believe there are cctv cameras for sure in public areas.

People at the reception was very kind and helpful, even though the last day it was very crowded. The same with people at breakfast, they tried their best to attend all of our needs. The room was quite spacious, nonetheless it was too dark and that made everything feel a bit smaller and not too clean.

According to our experience at the Hotel, the bathroom could have been cleaner. You can notice that they clean everything after one's check out, but specifically the bath floor had fungus marks. On the other hand, breakfast was very crowded that you can hardly find a sit. So I'll suggest to go breakfast early in the morning to have a comfortable experience. Or the Hotel should invest in get a bigger place for that.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the rooms. The accommodations were notably spacious, providing plenty of room to relax and spread out after a long day. The room was well-appointed with modern amenities that made my stay both comfortable and convenient. Everything from the comfortable bedding to the well-designed bathroom exceeded my expectations. The in-room features were thoughtfully selected, including a large flat-screen TV, mini-fridge, coffee maker, and ample storage space. The room also boasted excellent lighting and a comfortable seating area, making it easy to unwind or catch up on work. Additionally, the complimentary breakfast offered a decent selection of options to start the day right. There were both hot and cold items available, including fresh fruit, pastries, cereals, and hot breakfast dishes that satisfied various tastes and dietary preferences.

The only disappointment during my stay was regarding the parking situation. The hotel was initially presented to me as offering free parking, but upon checking in, I discovered that parking was actually a paid option. This discrepancy between what was advertised and the actual policy was frustrating and added an unexpected expense to my stay. Better communication about parking fees upfront would have been appreciated. Overall, despite this parking issue, the hotel delivered on comfort, space, and value, making it a solid choice for both business and leisure travelers.

The room, though showing it's age (furniture a bit knocked about) was usable. The beds were good enough and everything was clean. The location was very good for someone on a quick 2 night stay which we were. One of the beds could do with a small bedside table. I think there was one once and it probably got broken and not replaced! I am guessing the policy of the owners is to avoid "unnecessary" expenditure.

The kitchen was just a collection of empty cupboards supporting a worktop, a tiny microwave and a sink with mixer tap. Also there is a fairly recent fridge-freezer which was off and therefore without any ice, which we did not need anyway. There was no cutlery, crockery or cooking utensils and nothing remotely like a stove. That did not matter as we ate out and the breakfast in the ground floor breakfast room was fine, but if we had been counting on doing some self-catering then the description of "kitchen" would have been regarded as a gross exaggeration. Fine if you just want to nuke some take-away in the microwave, but you would still have to eat it out of the box with a plastic "spork".

Love the feeling of having my own apartment but at a hotel price. The suites provide everything you need and are well furnished, including a full kitchen allowing you to cook your own meal, which makes it ideal for a longer stay. As a business traveler, the included breakfast makes it ideal when you are on the go, although the daily buffet is always the same. If that doesn't work for you, you are 3 minutes walking distance to Place Desjardins, where you can find a grocery store, great restaurant selection, or a massive food court. Hotel is minutes walking distance to Saint-Catherine Street, China Town, old Montreal, or the subway (Place d'Armes or Champ-de-Mars station) to take you where you'd like to go.

I recently stayed at the Faubourg Hotel and overall had a pleasant experience. The room was great, spotlessly clean and featuring a bed that was incredibly comfortable. I really appreciated how cozy and inviting the space felt after a long day of exploring Montreal.

However, I did find the kitchen somewhat lacking. While it was nice to have a kitchenette, it would have been more convenient if there were additional cooking options available. As it stood, the only cooking appliance was the microwave, which limited my ability to prepare meals. Despite this drawback, the hotel’s location is fantastic, making it easy to access local attractions and dining options. If you're looking for a clean and comfortable stay in downtown Montreal, Faubourg Hotel is a solid choice! Just be prepared to rely on takeout or quick meals during your stay. Not much varieties for breakfast!

Great location, very central and everything is in walking distance. The rooms are massive and very clean. Staff is very helpful, it took one small request and our bed frame was changed immediately! They're respectful and super friendly. I will be staying there again!

The overall decor, if the hotel is renovated it would be great, it's slightly dim in the room and hallways

The room size and layout was good. Ample linen. Mini kitchen was available. The central location is great.

The cleanliness of the carpet is questionable. There were no dishes or utensils in the kitchen which is the point of a kitchen. The wear and tear of the curtains, walls and carpet are quite evident. It brings the hotel quality to a very good basic hotel. Not fancy. Not elaborate.
