The room felt clean and there were many available resources like a kettle, freezer, and washer dryer. The hotel room is very stylish and impressive. It's smaller than you'd think, but they maximize the space well. I enjoyed experiencing the location to a certain extent, but my situation was a bit unique. It seems like the hotel location is usually fine.

I thought I had paid for breakfast with my reservation, but I didn't receive any meal vouchers and ended up paying for breakfast by the day. Also, there was a building fire next to the hotel, and I would have liked some direct reassurance from the hotel that we were safe within the building. Also, there was a big difference in quality between the two bedrooms in my reservation. I was not aware of this upon booking. The toilet and the shower were separated by a glass pane, but the sealant around the glass was deteriorating so some water leaked into the toilet area.

Hotel The Botanik I like to be fair in my reviews, so here we go. I will tell the good, the bad and the ugly about this hotel. First the good: this is a very new hotel, very spacious, extremely clean; lots of storage space. The bed was comfortable with crispy clean white sheets, the floor was heated, the train station is near by. It has a kitchen, a fridge, a wine cooler, lots of cabinets space as well as closet space, a washing machine. Nice and ample bathroom. It has a balcony although ours faced another very close building. The stuff was very kind and helpful. They held our luggage for several hours at not charge. The Bad: in spite of what I wrote before this hotel lacks basic amenities. In the kitchen the only utensils are Two wine glasses, two coffee cups, a wine opener and two teaspoons, nothing else. There were two sachets of coffee as well as Tea but no machines to make it, not sugar or substitute either. In the bathroom I would have love to have some hand cream at least, there were of course shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Now the Ugly: This may be just my taste but I find this building extremely odd looking, it seems to have been built behind another building. The furniture could be better. I didn’t care much for the area in general, part of it looks like one of those dilapidated old neighborhoods that are experiencing a renaissance. In fact there seems be a lot construction going on around the building, but the area is quiet and we didn’t hear any noise during our stay.

The lack of amenities in the room.

Great location: near some nice coffee spots and a walk away from Insadong, Ikseondong and Myeongdong. Subway is about a 5 min walk from the hotel. The hotel itself is new and is sparkling clean. The room is so well-equipped. They provided a wine chiller, fridge, induction stove, UV jacket cleaner/warmer, and more. Even the shampoo and soap were of good quality.

The toilet is cleaned daily, but the beds are made on alternate days. The bath robes and towels weren’t replenished on some days. It would be great if the beds can be made daily. The cleaner also came in at a later timing than I’m used to (5+pm).

5 star Location. Easy access to bus stops around the corner. Convinient store located just infront of the hotel. Washing machine and dryer in the room. Great staff. 12mins walk from Myeondong district. Hotel very close to subway station. Hotel and room very modern, slick and feel brand new. Kitchen, wine fridge and balcony available.I Fully recommended this hotel

This hotel is good value and very convenient to get around. Plenty of space in room and having a washing machine and dryer was helpful.

Minor flaws in housekeeping, they miss replenishing items like tea bags and bathroom items.

Good location, 5 mins walk to metro station. Reasonable price with enough space for family. Wash & dry machines are attached in the room.

Water leakage from bath to toilet. IH oven is not working.

Facilities like washing machine and the air dresser were fantastic. Hotel location was good also. Breakfast was reasonably good with a good option of food. Loved that the room had lots of storage space for our stuff

Inconsistent housekeeping - no attention to detail. Don't wipe surfaces and didn't clean the floors. After 6 nights there were dust bunnies in the corners of the rooms and surfaces were dusty. Used cups that were left in the sink weren't washed some days. We had 3 in a room, some days they gave 3 bottles of water some days 2 bottles.

Brand new hotel, really modern and stylish interior and bathroom, kitchen and washing machine is nice to have though we didn’t need it much. Nice view from the rooms and even better from the roof garden. Delicious breakfast with a good balance of local and international options. Free parking available in the basement and 2 minutes walk to the train.

One little thing we noticed, the kitchen would really need a dedicated trash can, otherwise there’s no way anyone could cook there throwing the food scraps in the bathroom.

Location was good to the train station. Easy to get around. Also liked that I could wash my clothes in the room daily. Staff are very helpful and polite. We could even rent out an umbrella on rainy days.

I wish they gave more spare toilet rolls and tissue paper along with plates and cutlery.

Nice new hotel in central location

Although not essential, providing cookware and installing a door on the second bedroom would be nice to have.
