We had a nice warm welcome on reception. Staff there were always friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely and well equipped. Bed was comfy. I loved the fact that it had an outdoor pool on the terrace and a bar. I didn't realise so it was a nice surprise. Breakfast was good and lots of choice. Just 5 mins walk from.Placa de Catalunya, where the Ho-Ho buses and the airport bus leave from. Also, it's just over 5 mins walk to Las Ramblas.

Restaurant didn't open until 8pm, which was too late to eat for us. Often, in the piano bar, there was no one to serve you, but when you called for someone, they didn't always seem happy to serve you.

Stayed in a top-floor room that came with a spacious outdoor terrace, definitely the highlight. It was furnished with sun loungers, a table, and chairs, perfect for relaxing in the mornings or evenings. Just a heads-up: there’s no shade during midday, so it gets pretty toasty. The room itself would feel a bit snug for two people traveling together, but it was clean and well-kept. The bathroom was ample, with a good shower and thoughtful touches—neat and functional. The bed was comfortable, although if you're looking for twin beds, the setup might be awkward: two beds pushed together without any separation. Location-wise, you can’t beat it. Right on Via Laietana, it's within easy walking distance to many of the city's iconic sites. Great for exploring the Gothic Quarter, Las Ramblas, and beyond. Overall, a great base if you're visiting Barcelona and want to be in the heart of it all.

The staff were particularly friendly - allowing me to practise my Spanish. Choice of rooms given: interior or exterior. Gave me a tray and helped me with calling lift when I carried two drinks and my cup of tea up to room. Instead of the free cava for my daughter, provided her a glass of fresh orange juice instead. Recalled my request for extra pillows and brought them to room without me asking. We didn’t use the plunge pool but it looked inviting. Breakfast was great. Lovely friendly staff there too. Perfect location. Would definitely stay again.

I loved the location: very easy to get to the airport and train station but both- subway and bus. It’s also close to the beach, and to the shopping area. The staff was very friendly, greeting me every time I entered the hotel and left😃 I also loved that they allowed me to check in and found a room even though I came before my check in time. The breakfast was delicious 🤤 and one of the women at the reception (I’m afraid to misspell her name, so I won’t write it here:D), gave me her own transport card to use for a day! 😇

Spacious rooms, great location for exploring, parking on site (underneath), immaculate rooms, bar and swimming pool.

Parking could be sign posted better (yes it’s right next to it but set back/not well signposted without slowing down on a busy road) - the other parking signs nearby lead to confusion and another drive around the “block” (actually a couple of miles!), and the parking is very poky especially with a big car. We were promised a free drink on check in but wasn’t informed this only applies between 9 and 10pm.

Location was great, not too far from Placa de Catalunya and very close to public transport. The main station in Barcelona is a quick train ride away. The pool area is lovely. The single room is a great size, bed is very comfortable.

The walls are thin - so if you're a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. Unfortunately the head of the bed in my room is situated right next to the door to the next room, this made things worst when the occupants next door had a tendency to slam their doors.

Location (very close to Placa Catalanya, lots of eateries, close to Gothic Quarter and El Born etc) and staff exceptional! Cannot review bar/pool/breakfast because didn't use any of it. Even though there have been some MINOR inconveniences, i would definitely book again.

No soundproof windows towards the busy street. Also, you could here your neighbors talking. Second day no emptying of the full bin (only 1 of the 2 was emptied), no more complimentary water bottle after 2nd day. Couldn't handle the AC. It got too warm for me at night. No free mini bar. Couldn't use the deposit box (old-fashioned key lock, without the actual key being there).

Location was excellent, it is in the heart of the city center of Barcelona, close to the bus stop from airport to city center (Aerobis) and the bus stops for tour buses such as BusTuristic blue and red routes, plus local buses. It is near the metro line L3 that goes to the waterway or to the train station without having to switch lines. A small convenience store is two doors away and the main restaurant strip is only a block away. I loved the location! My room was a standard hotel room with mini frig that was sufficient for my stay, bed was comfortably firm.

Spacious rooms, fabulous location, very good breakfast & relaxing pool area with bar. Staff were very friendly. We walked to many attractions & also used the buses & metro. Very easy to navigate around Barcelona. The Boqueria food market is also a must to visit & within walking distance. Highly recommend HCC Montblanc.

Pool is on the small side but it’s refreshing. There are plenty of sun lounges & tables & chairs.

The location is perfect for tourists. Great network of public transport and little alleyways to discover.

Although I only ate once at the hotel pool, I felt that the food was very poor indeed with portions that were barely kids size. It was a minor issue as the hotel was great.
