This place was much nicer than I expected. It's a great location - across the road from a nice park and the waterfront, and walking distance to most things. Room was super comfy, especially the bed. Good aircon. Breakfast was fab - you can even make waffles. Has a salt water pool and a small fitness center which aren't huge but also aren't crowded and do the job. There's an ATM and you can buy basic essentials from reception. The staff were exceptional, especially during a really busy time and they even decorated the hotel for Comic Con. I loved it and will definitely stay there again.

Best value for your money- half the price of other hotels in the area. Great downtown location near the bay, restaurants, and is just a short drive to Balboa park. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and parking was secure. Being downtown San Diego, I thought there would be more unhoused people, but I was pleasantly surprised by how few I saw and how safe the area seemed. I definitely would recommend for families or anyone looking to enjoy Downtown San Diego without spending an arm and a leg.

I don’t have any complaints. Being from Texas my kids thought the room was freezing cold. I think the AC was set to 62 degrees, California and Texas have a different idea of hot and cold. We were able to turn it up to 70 and all was well.

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel. Absolutely perfect location! We had no real agenda other than to visit Maritime Museum. We were in walking distance! That was the major perk! No driving is needed! Walked around the neighborhood and strolled into Little Italy! The room was perfect, and the beds were so comfortable! I knew that once I hit those pillows, and I would fall asleep! The breakfast was good. No complaints about that. The 2 gentlemen at the desk were quite informative and were helpful with our questions. Very friendly as well, approachable. This was nice. Would we stay again? Heck YES! This is perfect location and great scenery all around!

Rude people during breakfast. Didn't seem to appreciate the complimentary breakfast and left a mess.

Location is excellent. It is just a few blocks from Little Italy so a short walk over for lots of restaurant choices. Right across the street is a park with a very fun playground for the kids. It is only a block from the harbor through the park. It is also just a 10 minute walk from Seaport Village (or one could take the tram, which is right by the hotel). Although the tram is right there it didn't bother us at all.

I wish there was a little more storage in the room (e.g. a chest of drawers) where I can put our clothes out instead of living out of our bags. The heated pool is nice although a Jacuzzi would've been even better. The gym is small, feels a bit claustrophobic.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. For example, the pool area ran out of clean towels, and the front desk staff took care of it immediately. Breakfast was excellent - a great variety of options for all my kids. Great location - could walk to the embarcadero, playground right across the street, tons of great restaurants nearby, and easy access to balboa park

Elevator is under renovation, which we didn'trealize till we were on our way - would have been helpful to have more clear signage about which set of stairs went to lobby, etc.

Great location. Very close to a trolley station, near the bus that takes you to the airport, very close to restaurants and cafes in Little Italy

Overall, the facilities are well kept. The pool is a bit small, so I would not recommend this hotel if you are looking to spend a lot of time in the pool. The elevator is being renovated so it can be a hassle sometimes, with guests waiting the single operating elevator, but it’s understandable given the situation.

The issues with the elevator renovations have been going on for over a year and it is incredibly inconvenient specially when traveling with kids and luggage. You may have to wait 5+ minutes for the elevator to show up only to have it full of people and having to wait for the next available elevator and hope there's room for you and your family. We ended up taking the emergency exit stairs to the parking garage

Location! Walking distance to just about everything! Liked having Greek yogurt available for breakfast! Rooms were clean and neat!

Didn't like the doors in the front being closed in the morning. I understand why they do it, but it's a bit inconvenient! Good breakfast but would prefer a few more gluten free options like Cheerios as cereal which are gluten free for a quick grab and go. Wasn't aware they cleaned every other day - didn't mind but would have preferred to know that.

Excellent location, Clean, Friendly staff, Coffee and tea available most of the day in the reception plus basic coffee machine on the room, Really easy checking and checkout, Very comfortable beds.

Breakfast was basic and majority prefabricated food. Cleaning of the room not daily but every other day. Price for parking 40$, bit expensive. It could’ve been a good idea to have an insulated jug of milk by the coffee area instead of those small prepacked milks which were a headache for some who does milky coffee 😅

The location was great, like that there was coffee and complementary bfast as you are rushing out in the morning and the room was comfortable and clean. The staff was nice and helpful.

The breakfast needs a bit more fresh items, eating prepackaged foods for bfast for a week is tough but we also understand that this is typical of a continental bfast. The only complaint we have is that one of the elevators jumps when it starts and when it stops and feels like it needs to be serviced - it made us a bit nervous riding in it and everyone riding with us made the same comments.
