Great location, beautiful view.

The concern/complaint I have is that I reported on the first day that while the A/C was on, it made a loud rattling sound, and it was difficult get a good nights sleep. I was told someone would check it. No one did and the second night was the same issue. We had to turn off the A/C so we could get to sleep and had to keep the slider door open to keep the room cool.

The staff was great. The restaurants associated with the Hotel were excellent.

the parking is a little crazy. There were ants in the shower. The pool closes at 10pm & there were still people in the pool til 1am being noisy. Our room was right in front of the pool so we could hear everything. Im very surprised security didn't kick them out since it was closed.

The view from my window was horrible: a wall with an iron ladder. Room 244.

Great location, within walking distance: embankment, restaurants, USS Midway, park, children playground, Little Italy (where we went for breakfasts) district, marina, water transport, Santa Fe Depot train and bus station. Hotel also offered free bus transfer to/from airport (every 30min), great bayside view, free WiFi (though a bit slow), 2 cups of drip coffee per day, 15% discount for nearby restaurants and excursions, yoga classes, gym and pool.

Surprisingly low ceiling in in the corridors. I had to be extra caution not hit smoke detectors and other wall/ceiling signs with my forehead. Free WiFi was a bit slow (anyway better than none) ~300KiB/sec, my cellphone internet was faster.

Quiet & clean. We loved the location. Close to airport & they have a free shuttle to & from. Close to Santa Fe station for public transportation. Staff very helpful Free coffee daily, 10% off at their restaurants. Excellent restaurants right across the street at Portside Pier. Nice pool area.

It’s a bit outdated, and not much counter space in bathroom. No USB ports. I didn’t like the people in the lobby, trying to sell you vacations and attractions. I paid extra to have a Bay view, and the balconies are very close to one another and not at all private. People on both sides of us were smoking against the rules so we couldn’t even use our balcony. The staff did their best with the smoking situation but it’s difficult to control.

Pros: excellent king-size bed; spacious room; friendly staff; location is prime and a few minutes drive from tourist attractions and good restaurants.

Cons: The room furniture and carpet are old; everything was clean but not super clean - found a couple of hair in the shower wall, but nothing that would prevent me from staying there again

Expensive overnight parking. It should be included in the price. Misleading advertisement. It says breakfast included but not true. Key card finicky with other elevators. Long check in

I loved the location and the bayview (Tower 3, third floor, the higher the better). As previous reviews stated, the furniture is quite old, but rooms are spacious, beds clean and comfy and it is one of the few hotels with balconies and where you can open the balcony door and control your air condition as you like. Some reviews stated that there is no daily cleaning, which I cannot confirm: there was cleaning everday, with the option to have it only every third say.

When I arrived (jetlagged, at 5:30 pm) and 3 out of 4 credit / bank cards did not work at first, the lady at the reception was not particularly helpful nor understanding. Fortunately, my private credit card (no 4) worked on second try, and I could in the end pay with my business card upon checkout. On the other hand, on the last day of my stay (5 nights) I was immediately granted a late checkout by a very friendly employee of the hotel. In the room, the drawers were not too clean when I checked in, however, everything else was fine and the cleaning personnel very nice, left them a nice tip. 😉 In comparison to hotels in Europe, US hotels appear generally overpriced, but since I booked rather late, it was still the best choice and I would come back again.

The location was super convenient. The bay is right across the street with the USS Midway and a number of other points of interest, including a couple of restaurants with views of the bay. It's also walking distance to Little Italy with lots of places to eat, drink, and shop. It's a bit further to the convention center, but if you're good for a mile or so of walking you can do your whole trip without having to get back in the car!

Parking was awkward. Entrances could be a little tricky to get to due to one-way streets. The spaces themselves are VERY skinny. So, it's a bit tight if there's someone parked next to you.

The front desk staff was great—explained everything and was to the point—and we were able to check in a little early. The room was quiet and spacious with good city views. The airflow and temperature worked well, and the bed was comfortably firm. The location was excellent—a short walk to the Trolley (very convenient for Petco Park) and across the street from the Embarcadero. Very scenic. Parking was expensive but conveniently close to the buildings.

The rate, including the parking fee, was higher than we’d like. We had to pay the resort fee but did not make use of any of the offerings. In the room, the faucet was too far from the sink. There were no towel racks. The sliding glass door to the balcony was loud when moved.
