Excellent in all regards, fantastic spacious room (we were given a free upgrade), great location, very good breakfast and lovely helpful staff. Spotlessly clean and high quality fittings and furnishing throughout. Really good, we were very pleased with this lovely hotel - one of the best we’ve stayed in. The sauna and spa area were excellent. Very good food menu and interesting (high quality) breakfast options.

The single weakness is a very small gym with limited equipment, but it didn’t spoil our stay at all.

We found that the staff were not that attentive especially in the breakfast restaurant at all. We asked for sugar to the table as we had none and they simply hand gave us 2 sachets! They were not helpful or obliging in anyway at all on the 3 days which we were there. The trouble was that we had to liaise with them to order our coffees and hot breakfast, but they were very not forthcoming to help at all and we had to chase for service. The front desk personnel were better but some were still not that helpful in our endeavours.

We had a fantastic 3-night stay at the Boscolo. We were upgraded to a larger room. The room was fantastic and the bathroom had great toiletries. We particularly liked the large wardrobe and large balcony, we just wish there were chairs or a table outside to be able to use the balcony more. The free bottled water in the mini-bar was a nice amenity.

The wifi was spotty at best in our room. We were at the very back of the hotel/far from the lobby so that may have been why.

The location is perfect - a short walk to Old Lyon, Musee de Beaux Arts, the Opera, and a boatload of great restaurants & cafes. Lots of chic shopping nearby if you're into that. But the most wonderful thing was the three windows - actually French doors with diaphanous curtains - that opened to a view of the Rhone River. Totally worth it to get river view. I don't generally spend much time in my hotel room, but I found it such a pleasure, I didn't mind waiting an hour for my family to get moving. The pool was lovely as well, though it's designed more for soaking than swimming. Still it was very relaxing, especially after a hot day of sightseeing. And the staff was uniformly friendly & professional. If only every hotel could be like the Boscolo.

The hotel kindly upgraded us to an executive suite in order to accommodate a cot for my daughter. They did not charge us for the upgrade, which was quite generous. But then they charged us 100 euros a night for the cot. I don't mean to be ungrateful for the upgrade, but 100 euros/night for a cot felt a bit steep, particularly since we chose to forego all housekeeping services for our 3-night stay.

Everything was perfect the service the food the facility the location I have seen Lyon in another light thanks to them a way better service than what you get when you are in Paris in the same level of hotels I am usually a very difficult guest because I have very light sleep and when I am in a hotel I am looking for the ability to sleep peacefully without noise this hotel I would rate it 10/10 it’s like I was on my own island or in the desert the hotel was full but the room were well isolated and for me this is priceless if you want to have quiet time excellent room service while still being in the middle of the city one step from everything you need this hotel is for you plus the service is top notch I will definitely go back there when I get the chance

We arrived around 2 pm but the room wasn't ready as the check-in is at 4 pm, which is really too late. We were upgraded to a junior suit that was spacious and clean. The water in the minibar along with 2 bars of Toblerone chocolate are complementary. I didn't like the fact that after agreeing on a late check out, the housekeeper kept knocking on the door every 15 minutes, although the don't disturb sign was on the door. It was really upsetting.

Great location being on the river, close to the old quarter & also accessible to the University & other interesting places on the other side of the Rhone. Breakfast was superb, buffet & from the menu.

Could not get the tv to work. Lots of channels but the picture was terrible. I would have liked to of had fresh milk available from the fridge in my room for my morning coffee.

I was thoroughly impressed with this hotel. I enjoyed the stunning view of the river and the historic bridge from my spacious, clean room. The hotel bar is a cozy spot to unwind, and the breakfast is both hearty and delicious. The hotel staff were incredibly professional and accommodating. And let’s not forget the unbeatable location right in the heart of the city.

The view. The location. The fact the air conditioning actually worked (it was hot when we stayed). We appreciated lift access as we had big bags. Little touches in the room (shaving mirror, tissues, robes etc). Staff were very helpful, happily bringing us ice for my husbands sore ankle.

The lighting in the bathroom, but that’s true of almost every hotel, ever!

Very helpful staff. Lovely room. Clean. Well equipped. Good selection of tea. Bed was big and comfortable. Spa is excellent (although we did not have any of the treatments)

Gym: too small, no water, only one (old & tatty) yoga mat. No kettle in room, so we had to make hot water in the coffee machine (which was not enough for tea) Shower in our room was a bit smelly Only international TV channel was CNN. These days all good hotels have smart TV.
