I had expected this hotel to be a little shabby but it was in great condition and offered great facilities. The breakfast was very good (although the breakfast room was a bit cold) and they had gluten-free bread on hand. The location was perfect for my purposes, with both Garbatella metro station and Eataly within walking distance (less than 30 minutes). I would stay here again!

I had no complaints about this but future visitors should be aware that Hotel Caravel does NOT have kettles or coffee machines in the rooms. There's a (coffee) bar a few metres away outside and the hotel's (cocktail) bar is open in the evenings.

Good location, good view, everything was clean and comfortable. God staff, hats off to the bartenders which were very kind and respectful.

If I was a receptionist, this was the type of room I would apologise before giving it to my clients. Maybe the hotel was full but I would still say "we're sorry sir, this is the only room we have left". Both the windows we're useless as my view was obstructed by, what appears to be, air conditioning piping and a lot of other stuff. This was a business trip and I didn't care all that much to start a discussion about it so I let it slide.

It was just an overnight stop for me. The room was spacious with a decent bathroom and large rooftop balcony. I left my luggage with them for the day in a secure room and there was space to relax in the lobby before moving on.

I didn't thoroughly explore the area, but it felt a little out of the way and not very well connected. However this is not a comment on the hotel.

The breakfast was good. Bacon and eggs and a nice selection of pastries. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The location wasn’t very central. We spent a lot on taxis. The metro was a long walk from the hotel and it felt unsafe with pick pockets. We had a close encounter with one. We decided not to take the metro after that.

The room was big enough for two people, with a large balcony, clean. The hotel in general was very clean, there were no technical issues, the staff cleaned our room every day. The area is well connected, few buses around that can take you to the centre, a metro station within walking distance, few shops and little coffee shops/restaurants nearby as well. However, all these buses take ages to arrive, it seems like it's common in Rome.

There was no fridge in the room, which I find a bit annoying given the price you pay and especially during the summer when it's hot and you want cold drinks or to store food so it does not spoil. I had another friend joining me for the trip and because I did not book the room for 2 people originally I had to pay an additional fee at the end which felt a bit excessive, so might be worth booking for the adequate number of people from the start. There was noise during the day due to construction work nearby, but it was not a massive issue. It did not wake us up.

The room was really clean, we had fresh bedding and The room was cleaned and attended to every day - it was a lovely room.

The room was spacious, comfortable and had all the necessary appliances. Breakfast was amazing and definitely exceeded our expectations. Stuff was wonderful and ready to help at any point.

The only minor issue was the internet. I believe, however, that it was simply the location of our room. We were experiencing some connection issues in the room but the rest of the hotel was fine.

The reception staff were always friendly and helpful, with local knowledge and advice when I needed it. The hotel was clean and tidy. Room was spacious for me. The hotel recommended a local restaurant which lies in the road opposite the hotel frontage, it really is superb. Traditional style, locals food... called Cotto e magnato.

Each morning I still had a knock at my door from the cleaning staff, despite the "do not disturb" being ON. The room was very warm at night, I couldn't get the temperature to set any lower than 20°, but the reception turned the heating off...it still wasn't cool enough really.

The room was quite large and the bathroom was suitable even for two people at the same time. There were minor flaws due to a lack of maintenance in my room. I also appreciated the vending machines on the floor for water and snacks. The bus stops were very close too.

excelente location near colosseum,close to bus ,the best cafeteria for breakfast is next doors from hotel with everything cofee lattes expresso,sandwiches juice and the price is insuperable if you go there with family and you don’t want to spend a lot money,the taxi services is optimal with excellent prices less than uber in case you need to back later to the hotel,the bed super comfortable and clean is the best for me and if you have a baby they put a extra little crib for baby and not less I’ll get good price and front desk very kind.
