Good location Clean room

Small hotel. Restaurant very small and limited choices in breakfast. A single elevator in the hotel. It takes long time to have it

The room was really spacious and the bed very comfortable. Best shower in five weeks of travelling! The breakfast was really good with plenty of options - from fresh to cooked, savoury and sweet and very good coffee made to order. This was served on the rooftop which was where beautiful sunsets could be seen in the evenings.

I asked for olives with my evening appetitive and while I got them on the first night I was told on the next two nights “there are no olives”. I also would have preferred china cups and proper teaspoons in the room rather than disposable cups. I did not think this was very environmentally friendly. I also had to ask every day for more milk as only two teeny caps of milk were in the room - not enough for even one cup of tea or coffee. Having said that, most of the staff was fabulous and attentive.

Stayed for 3 nights with a family of four: 1. Staff: great service from front desk staff to breakfast severs 2. Room: clean and comfortable Note: new bottle water each day Note: compliment wine bottle 3. Breakfast: excellent, good selection, delicious Note: take advantage of their breakfast. It’s good. Note: staff is very friendly!!! 4. Train station: short walking distance. We were at Florence so it was a convenient. 5. Location: we felt safe. We told the front desk that we will be leaving early morning, we were given breakfast boxes to go for we left the hotel at 5:30 am. You can also request the front desk to call a taxi for you, but we used FREENOW app for taxi all over Rome.

1. Elevator: only one and small. But there is a baggage staff to bring your luggage to your room. 2. Property is not close to main attractions. But it was not an issue. Since July is a very hot season so taking a taxi was worth it.

The staff at the hotel was specially nice and friendly. The breakfast was good and we also had dinner and it was very good. Especially the "pinsa". The hotel is in a short walking distance from Termini station for the Train and Metro. There is a direct train from the FCO airport to Termini station and it takes only 32 min. Easy to use the Metro and also possible to walk to the Colosseo and Spanish steps and Fontana Trevi. You can take the Metro to visit the Vatican City.

The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and willing to help with any questions or issue. Pietro and Virginia were very attentive and friendly at all times in restaurant for meals and rooftop bar for breakfasts. The receptionist (sorry didn’t get name) was extremely friendly and invaluable on last day when advising there were long delays on highway due to an accident and we’d be quicker getting the train to the airport. Arrived in plenty time with no stress. Thank you to you all.

It was Perfect!

I cannot fault this hotel. Being a frequent traveller throughout Europe I was pleasantly surprised that The Independent Hotel far exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived every effort was made to ensure our stay was the best possible experience from start to finish. The accommodation was modern & spacious, our room & the bed was very comfortable. Each & every member of staff that we came into contact with were professional with a very friendly approach. The roof top terrace was an absolute luxury at the end of a hectic day. The food was excellent - the pizza was to die for and once again the staff were amazing. Breakfast was also served on the roof terrace which again is a lovely way to start your day - the staff greeted each & every person with a warm welcome & fabulous freshly prepared food - nothing was to much trouble for them. Our room was cleaned daily by the unsung hero's of the hotel, the rooms/hotel are absolutely immaculate. Having travelled & sampled the worst & best hospitality on offer I can hand on heart 100% recommend this hotel & the staff that transform a building into a lovely place to stay. We cannot wait to revisit in the near future. Well Done to The Independent Hotel Team & thanks for our fabulous stay xx

There literally was nothing to dislike !!!

The roof top breakfast is great with fantastic view.

Rooftop terrace was great and we had our own private balcony with city views which was excellent, couldn’t fault the location. Nespresso Coffee in room was lovely as was the free minibar which we didn’t realise was complimentary as we were told only the water was free.

Double bed was two singles put together and both me and my partner returned from the trip with really sore necks/ backs. Rooms were soundproofed from the street, however the noise in the hallways meant that you couldn’t have a lie in, in the mornings

After our delayed flights from USA to Italy, and dealing with that and time change, it was hard to be in a good mood. I sent an email to the Hotel front desk regarding our 2+ hour delay in arrival, and they responded immediately, which greatly reduced my stress level. We have stayed at Independent Hotel at least 5-6 times, and especially after the long overnight flights, it always feels so good to check in to our comfortable, well-equipped rooms. And to boot, their efficient and friendly front-desk team welcoming us, and the speedy help with our luggage by capable and friendly staff. There was a bit of trouble at first with the internet connection, but front desk got it resolved. I would suggest more convenient and operational outlets - we all have several devices that need charging. It worked out OK but one of the outlets did not work. Breakfast is fabulous, as is the restaurant, both at lunch and dinner. Definitely recommend, both for the quiet atmosphere away from the general Rome chaos as well as the good food and great service. It's a welcome respite after a busy day -- and so convenient to get to your bed!

Be sure sufficient and working device electrical outlets -- and good secured internet connection.

Breakfast was varied. Location was pretty central.

We booked a taxi through the hotel on the day of our departure, confirming Ciampino airport. Receptionist was on phone when the taxi arrived. During the journey from the hotel the driver held and spoke using 2 different phones and wrote messages with pen and paper. The journey was both concerning and alarming!! Turns out he headed to the International Airport, we advised him of his mistake, he told us it would cost 100 Euros for him to proceed to the correct airport. He did not have a meter in his taxi. This experience spoiled our holiday.
