Our experience at this hotel was nothing short of exceptional. The room and bathroom were spotless, neat, and offered a stunning view of the street and Piazza della Repubblica. Breakfast was a highlight—classic options like bacon, omelets, ham, and cheese were complemented by a variety of delicious pastries and a high-quality coffee machine. The breakfast room, located on the top floor, provided a spectacular view, often accompanied by seagulls, which added a unique charm. A special touch: during our stay, it was my boyfriend’s birthday, and the hotel administration surprised us with a small bottle of prosecco and music during breakfast. It felt so festive and truly made our day! The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful. Daily cleaning kept the room spotless, with fresh towels provided every day. On our arrival, we reached the hotel around noon, and to our delight, our room was ready, so we didn’t have to wait until the usual 2 PM check-in time. The location is fantastic—just a 5-minute walk from Termini station, which you can easily reach via a direct train from the airport. Major attractions and the historic city center are also within walking distance; we even walked to the Vatican without much effort. This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way, offering incredible value for money. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the city!

The only minor downside was the Wi-Fi speed, which could be improved. That said, it worked well enough—and honestly, walking through the streets of Rome is far better than spending time online anyway!

A very easy walk from the train station (Roma Termini) and very close to a fantastic restaurant which the hotel staff recommended. The restaurant also offered us a discount because of the hotel recommendation which was nice! The elevator in the hotel was large by Italian standards and easily held the 2 of us plus 3 pieces of luggage! The location was quiet as well and had very comfortable beds. We only stayed one night and we had a very early train to catch the next morning so we were gone before the breakfast service so I cannot comment on the food. But I can definitely recommend the hotel and will keep it in mind for future trips.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it! The location is excellent just a few minutes’ walk from Roma Termini station, yet the surrounding area is peaceful and quiet. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The room was clean, spacious, and equipped with air conditioning, which made the stay very comfortable. Breakfasts were tasty, and the highlight was enjoying them in a beautiful dining area with a stunning panoramic view of Rome. From the hotel, it’s about a 30 minute walk to famous landmarks such as the Trevi Fountain or the Colosseum. Right next to the building there’s also a bus stop with connections to the Vatican and other attractions, which was very convenient. All in all, this is the perfect place for a couples’ getaway in Rome comfortable, well-located, and with everything you need for a pleasant stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Exe Domus Aurea! The location was perfect—just a short walk from Roma Termini, making it super convenient for exploring Rome. Iconic landmarks like the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps were also within walking distance, and having restaurants, souvenir shops and convenience stores right on the same street was a great bonus! A huge thank you to Valeria and Luca, who went above and beyond to make our stay special. They were always friendly and helpful—giving us great recommendations on where to eat, the best ways to get around, and even calling taxis whenever we needed one. One of the highlights of our stay was breakfast at the hotel’s rooftop terrace. We looked forward to it every morning—not just for the delicious selection but also for the view that made the experience even more special. We’d definitely stay here again!

A very nice hotel in great location. Easily reachable by train from airport - hotel located near Roma Termini train station. All attractions in a walking distance, but you can also take public transportation either bus or metro to reach all sightseeing locations. Considering that the hotel is located in quite old building, the room and bathroom are big, compared to some other southern European hotels. Room was comfortable and it was cleaned every day. Staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good, in addition to different kinds of croissants there was offered eggs, bacon, different kinds of ham, salami, cereal, yogurt etc. All in all we had an excellent vacation. Do not stay on the 5th floor, as the breakfast terrace is served from the 5th floor kitchen, where the prep for breakfast start at 6 am which is exceptionally noisy.

Great location near Roma Termini so very easy to explore the city. The staff was very friendly and even the hotel itself was little worn and oldish, it was very clean and nice. The breakfast was good with lots of where to choose and it was served in the top floor with scenery of Roman rooftops:) The room itself was simple and clean. If I ever come Rome again I would strongly consider staying again in this nice hotel!

We stayed in the hotel for 1 night and it was great. Staff was very friendly, helped us with all our questions, suggested help with sightseeings and stuff. Very nice guy, thank you for your time and conversations! Location is also great — usually I'm avoiding hotels near train stations but this time due to specific of our trip we decided to book hotel near the Termini and it was good! Safe, clean and close to Termini, buses, rest. A lot of mini markets nearby also is always a bonus. Room was clean, silent, comfy, all great! Highly recommended, it's a nice place to stay!

The service is very nice, forthcoming and efficient. I stayed for 5 nights and they were so helpful with everything, in this unimitable Italian way, that they recognise you after seeing you only once, and treat you a bit as a befriended acquaintance. The hotel is of moderate size, in an old Italian 5-storey buidling, ca.60 rooms I think. It is overall well kept and the rooms and bathrooms are very clean., including bedding and towels. On the top floor, overlooking the roofs of Rome, is the breakfast/bar terrace. I opted for breakfasts and it was every day a very rich and qualitatively excellent selection of pastries, cakes, cheeses (Taleggio, ricotta..), hams, veggies, fruits, jams, etc... and excellent coffee. This floor is run by a "maitre de salle" - a very cheerful and professional person. Gives the place a character. Around the hotel are small shops, restos and cafes, if you want to eat out or get some water, fruits, yoghurts for your room.

The rooms are of rather moderate size, though manageable. The matrasses probably more appreciated by guests who prefer harder matrasses. It's a bit acoustic in there, room walls are thin and also the street is relatively noisy (I would recommend ear plugs for those who don't usually live in big city). I would normally write in the "minus" sections of the evaluation that the hotel is in the Roma Termini area, which does not have a great reputation. But it turned out better than expected, with many people walking even late at night, so no problem for a single female to return on foot at 11 pm....

A great location, the central train station is a 5 minute walk away, excellent restaurants on the next street and a large Conad supermarket is a few minutes walk too. You can walk to all sightseeing locations if you’re fit and able. It’s a clean, quiet hotel with friendly staff. The bed was comfortable, we asked for extra blankets and were provided with them straight away. Breakfast was reasonable for the price. Kettle in room.

They need to install another hot drinks machine in the breakfast room as the queue for hot drinks was crazy! At the very least a hot water only machine for those wanting tea. The croissants were cold and stodgy. A disappointment for us as we love a croissant for breakfast when on holiday! The room layout was quite small, but overall it didn’t cause an issue.. just beware if you have lots of luggage.
