The possibility to check-in online could make a difference (like it did in our case) since many similar hotels charge extra money for check-in during the hours when their reception is closed, which is ridiculous on its own, but Hotel Cathrine will not charge you for that. Overall, had a good experience with communication, they were available on WhatsApp and were very quick in responding when there were any questions etc.

The rooms are not soundproof, but it didn't bother us since we didn't spend a lot of time in the room. If you are not planning on sleeping until 12 pm :) or spending a lot of time in the room that won't be an issue.

Quiet hotel, block and local streets; accessible n walkable location from main rail station (Termini), local eateries/restaurants coffee shops and mini markets but wait n go to better priced local ‘carrefour’ mini markets. Walking distance to tourist locations but good public transportation with buses n Metro, used and appreciated with the hot hot temps 🥵 Clean n tidy hotel, good people running it providing a service by allowing for travel delays and remaining at work till customers arrive (thank you Veto) Lovely room with A/C 👌 and other convenient hotel facilities, coffee n tea machine/making available. Convenient use of coded entry to building n hotel with just the one key into our room.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Cathrine in Rome. The room was spotlessly clean and incredibly quiet at night, which made for a very restful sleep. The shower had great water pressure. The location is also a big plus—just a short walk to Termini Station, making it super convenient for travel. There were plenty of restaurants within walking distance, which made dining out easy and enjoyable. What really stood out was the staff. They were so responsive and accommodating throughout my stay. It really made a difference and added a personal touch to the experience. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and would absolutely stay here again on my next visit to Rome!

Booked a last minute single room to be in Rome the weekend of the Pope's funeral - was really just looking to have somewhere to sleep, but the room was a decent size, private and had good air-conditioning, a TV and ample space for one person for a few days. It's 5 minutes walk from Termini rail station / metro, or 5 minutes to Republicca Metro also - bus stops outside. You can come and go easily.

The bathroom is a little cramped, and the shower could do with being re-grouted - it's clean but just showing signs of wear and tear. It wouldn't stop me from returning though. The lights were a little on the dim side also but personal preference here I suppose.

Nice room, comfortable, clean, tastefully decorated - and a good price! I’ve seen others complain about being able to hear other rooms, but we never did in our stay. Conveniently located near Termini station. I know some reviews have been worried about the access code situation, but I found it completely fine. List is small (so beware if you have big luggage or disabilities) but also works fine - just be sure not to open the doors too early or you get stuck and have to go down a floor.

Reception is only staffed for a portion of the middle of the day - although I never saw anyone even at those times. This wasn’t a bother to me though, and a request I made for extra bedding was sorted before bedtime so happy about that. WiFi is a bit weak. Would have preferred a cupboard or at least one fewer clothes rack - it did feel a tad like a store cupboard. Shower is small, and has an overhead shower head that can’t be adjusted

It was my first time in a hotel of this type. It looked like a big apartment on the 3rd floor of a five-story residential building. There were 8 rooms in this apartment. I had a room with a toilet and a shower. Everything looked like in the old days (interior, furniture, paintings ...). The building is in the city center near the train station, metro. It is very good. The cleaning was done well and it was very clean. A cozy place.

Cosy, quiet room with A/C, beautiful reception area with self-serve coffee & tea. Nice interior design, clean rooms and bathroom. Easy automatic check-in and checkout, I was also able to leave my luggage at reception without charge on the day of checkout. Staff quickly accessible via WhatsApp. Good location near Termini on a quiet street. Would definitely book again

I think the reception area/hallway could use a few security cameras for safety purposes as the hotel is mostly unmanned (I didn’t feel unsafe but other solo travellers might prefer an added layer of security)

Beautifully decorated and clean room that is located in walking distance to Roma Termini (6 mins+). Water pressure was great and hot water was readily available. Bed was very comfortable and the aircon was a godsend. Excellent housekeeping and really friendly staff. Walls are a tad thin but we were undisturbed during bedtime. It was an enjoyable stay and I will definitely return!

Table was very very low and I had to end up sitting on the floor to (unfortunately) do some work, which gave me an awful backache. It was also odd to have soap/shampoo provided in one-use disposable packets, not the most environmentally-friendly move. Hotel was not responsive prior to check-in. Not the hotel's fault at all but for completeness, I would note that the lift often smelled incredibly bad and we got stuck in it once which was harrowing!

Very clean and comfortable room. Exactly as advertised. Very secure and in a prime area of Rome. I stayed for 2 weeks and was very comfortable. If you’re looking for a fancy place where you could spend the day inside, this isn’t for you. But if you’re looking for a clean and comfortable hotel at an affordable price in a great location, then this place is excellent. Would 100% stay there again.

Over a span of 13 nights staying there, for one night the shower was lukewarm. The walls are somewhat thin.

The room was comfortable. It was simple, but perfect for a solo traveller who wanted to rest and enjoy Rome. I had a good rest in between my two long flights . I booked the hotel on my way to the city from the airport. And since it was empty, they let me in before check-in time, which was soooo kind of them. I was exhausted and had a nice nap before going out for exploring. I would recommend the place, as I felt so relaxed and rested after it.
