Very spacious hotel room, with comfortable beds, bathroom and a small pantry. Facilities are new and well equipped. There's also light breakfast (breads and juices) free for hotel guests every morning which our kids love. It's about 5 minutes walk from Arashiyama Station, and if you can easily walk to Togetsukyo Bridge within 5 to 10 minutes if you go through the backyard exit of the hotel. However, there's only 1 convenience store near the hotel which is just outside the Arashiyama Station, but it's good enough for our daily supplies and needs.

Would have been better if there are laundry facilities in the hotel, or within the hotel's vicinity.

Riverside Arashiyma was a pleasure to stay at. The rooms are big and spacious, enough for all four of us. The location was perfect right next to the train station and just a short walk to the park, and river that had the most beautifu collection off Cherry Blossoms we had seen. Wish we had stayed a few more days.

The only thing that was an eye sore was just the construction work that was In progress next to the hotel. Not that the hotel can Influence that. Also the difficulty in locating it. Our Uber driver had drive around a number of times to try and find the entrance. But It was at night and it was raining at the time too, so not the easiest circumstances to find a hidden gem.

Extra friendly. I accidentally double booked a room and they were able to correct it without us paying the cancellation cost. Free breakfast. Clean, good location if you want to visit Arashiyama, and the moss temple. Good connection (a direct bus ~40 minutes) to Kyoto station. Near bus and train station. They even had a restroom for leisure. It feels that it’s most for people who travel with pets since there are a lot of dog treats and dog theme.

We went in the end of April and it was like 20 degrees outside. There were A LOT of insects swarming in the open corridor between the river and the hotel rooms. They provided mosquito spray and even without using it I escaped mosquito bites.

The staff were very nice and helpful. We needed help to send my friend’s luggage from hotel to KIX and when that didn’t work out, they helped my friend with other alternative. They also have free light breakfast. The room was also very spacious and clean. It is only a few minutes walk from Arashiyama St and the bus station. It is also very close to the Bamboo Forest.

Far from Kyoto Station so I find it not good for a base especially if you have plenty of day trips.

Amazing location and easy entry/exit after hours. Simple breakfast was available at good hours (6am - 10am)

We only got given one (quite small) pillow per bed. When we asked for extras we were told there were none, but after asking three people the housekeeping staff eventually gave us extras that were much nicer. The breakfast was very simple - just bread buns and juice boxes

The stay was around tranquil setting, close proximity to public transport and attractions yet away from the hustle and bustle. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room's immaculate, comfortable beds, spacious with home theatre facilities, a great variety of toiletries, and the complimentary breakfast breads and juices were all good. Facilities for cloak room an added boon..

Spacious room, lovely staff and tasty breakfast. The accommodation was very clean and there were lots of little extra's like soap, hairbands etc.

The room lacks a bit in storage room and a place to put your clothes. It's really spacious and there's definitely room for a closet and maybe an extra cabinet for books etc. This would make it more homely as well.

We were very satisfied here. The hotel has an excellent location. You can visit many interesting places by foot. I was accommodated at the place with a friend in a wheelchair and the staff was very accommodating to us. I would especially like to thank Mr. Yamada, who personally helped us to solve the wheelchair defect. Overall I highly recommend this hotel.

Comfortable, clean rooms with PJs (gowns) that even fit my tall frame. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice location really close to the macaques and Arashiyama’s main road. Not exactly on the river, but a very short block away. Great to have coffee available around the clock, as well as a fridge and microwave in the room. I miss my dogs; it was nice to see some others in the lobby! (And this was the cleanest dog-friendly hotel I’ve ever stayed in.)

Tiny bathroom. LONG, sweaty walk from the JR station and no taxi would pick us up with suitcases. (Thankfully the hotel called taxis for us on the return trip — so helpful!) Not many dinner options in Arashiyama, which I wish I’d known, but that’s not the hotel’s fault. Next time I’ll plan ahead better with meals.

The hotel provided a light breakfast and some extra activities, which definitely exceeded our expectations. It was absolutely quiet at night, and I had some of the best sleep I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommended.
