Double, triple security👍 A hotel with cafe in the 1st floor, so we’ll never really feel alone, the staff friendly and helpful. I choose the private room for my last days in Tokyo, they provided a bathub not only a shower, it is one of the best decision in my trip, because I got spaces to repacking my 2 lugagge without worrying about anything else (including location, shower, etc). The place is near to Asakusa Donqi and other souvenirs place (Halal-Ya) aswell. One of the staff could speak Bahasa and I’m in awe haha, thank you for welcoming me in the hotel, see you soon again Japan!

- Personnel were lovely and helpful - The hotel and room hygiene were beyond adequate, considering its price. - The hotel's location was superb for tourists to discover Tokyo and to grocery (super close to a metro station, just one station away from Asakusa with Sensoji Temple, and you can see the famous Tokyo Skytree from the bridge nearby). - The bar/cafe section is lovely. You can chill on the ground floor with your coffee or grab a drink and go to the rooftop with your cigarette.

- The only negative and changeable thing is the restricted payment method as I planned to stay here longer, but was not able to as I have only cash and the hotel accepts only credit cards.

The hostel looks very clean and the interior is nice and cozy. The staff was helpful and they provided free rental of power adapters which I appreciated. Comapring what you get for the cost, I can definitely recommend this place. The location is not bad since it is close to the metro line but when planning your trip, think through if you plan to be in Shibuya or Shinjuku during the night because then this hostel is very far away and the metro does not run during the night.

There was only one shower for the whole floor. In reality i had to wait only once but maybe in busier season or during the evening you can spend more time waiting.

Good location, staff were friendly, vibe was nice and there's a cute bar/lounge at reception. Bed was spacious and room was great. Showers and toilet facilities are on the same floor which is very convenient.

Walls are thin so you hear a lot of movement upstairs. Also not the hostel's fault but I didn't sleep a wink because a person in my dorm snored like a freight train. They should add it to their questionnaire "do you snore?" and then put them all in a room together. I'm kidding obviously but even with headphones in, I didn't get a single hour of sleep.

I really enjoyed my week at Focus Kuramae as the staff was really friendly. I stayed in the female dormitory room on the thrid floor and it was bigger than I expected. I was travelling two big pieces of luggage but I had some space to store them so they would not bother any one else. As far as cleanliness is concerned, I have nothing to complain about. The hostel is located near Kuramae Station and I had no problem getting to the locations I wanted to visit.

The matress was really fin and I sometimes had struggle to sleep because I felt like I slept on the floor.

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at! Staff was very nice, facilities were incredibly clean. They cleaned everyday! The lounge area is so nice perfect to have dinner or work, very comfortable. They also have a fully equipped kitchen. The location is very nice, such a lovely calm area with lots of cute cafes. A quick 30 min ride to Shibuya.

The only downside would be that a bit of a humidity problem, which could lead to weird smell in the corridor. But they are expecting full renovations soon so I’m sure it will be resolved.

One of the best hostels I stayed in throughout my Japan trip. The beds were incredibly comfy, everything was clean and smelt lovely, good privacy curtains and fairly decent storage space in the girls dorm. All staff I spoke to were friendly and helpful. 15 min walk to the main centre of Asakusa, lovely, safe neighbourhood.

Only thing would be that the kitchen was tiny but I didn't need to cook so didn't really affect me! But could potentially be a problem if you are intending to cook.

I stayed in a female dormitory and enjoyed the whole experience. Would definitely recommend since it was so affordable for the 3 nights that I was there, under $140 total.

The rooms got a little stuffy, like they had a portable A/C that had the air moving option, but then it would get warm. Maybe they should get another air circulation unit while keeping A/C one still running. Only issue was my lamp didn't work, unless I couldn't figure out how to turn it on.

I lived on the dorms and the bed was huge! The room was super spacious and clean and you have 3 shared bathrooms, laundry and 2 showers in the 4th floor. The staff was friendly and sweet. There is a kitchen in the hostel as well so it was perfect if you wanted to cook your own stuff. Also a sauna which I never used but seemed interesting for sure.

One of the laundry’s dryer didn’t work so had to pay 3x to have it dried. It didn’t work as well so just ended up hanging my own clothes

I was solo travelling so for that kind is a really good place, the recepcion area is very lively and the workers are very friendly people ♥️ also all the common areas are super clean. There’s was an amazing lady cleaning my floor 5F super lovely as well very nice to talk too ♥️

I don’t think I didn’t like much anything, is a sharing place so is not on the place how people behave. I was there for 11 days, and some people were dirty but others weren’t and some snored quite loud but that is not a problem of the hostel. If you go for a sharing room you have to expect this things to happen.
