Great location! It’s located sort of on the edge of Kabukicho, which is the “red light” district, but it’s a pretty great area, always packed full of people! Because it’s on the edge, it’s a little quieter, which I would consider a benefit. Hotel is literally right across from a laundromat (40min and like 1000 yen for a wash and dry) and two convenience stores; you also have access to three good train stations, which makes transit even more straightforward. Staff is excellent and helped us with everything! Friendly and polite and speak great English. They’re responsive over email as well if you need to ask them for anything. They assisted us with our luggage transfer. Room felt a little bare bones at first, but I quickly became fond of it. Washroom and shower are fairly large, and we had enough room on the ground to lay out two suitcases and still had walking room. Air conditioning works well, there’s also an air purifier. Hotel provides things like shampoo, body wash, conditioner, hair dryer - you can also pick up other stuff like cotton swabs, instant coffee, green tea, sponges, razors, etc. easily at a little stall on the first floor.

Rooms look a little bit dated, and no washer and dryer on the property.

This hotel was an AMAZING deal. It was within a small walking distance of EVERYTHING Shinjuku to include Kabukicho. The staff was super friendly and spoke more than enough english to help me with anything and everything. Also, in the even that luggage transport is backed up, the hotel offers a baggage keeping service that is not advertised. On the day of your checkout, they will keep your luggage until you are ready to leave the area AS LONG AS you claim your luggage from them the same day!! This was a GREAT service.

Compared to some of the hotels my Friends booked the amenities were not spectacular. You get what you paid for does not do the deal that you get with this place justice, but for slightly more there were more amenities provided by hotels nearby.

Room was a good size, with a table and chairs. Bathroom was spacious with a separate toilet, shower and bath space. Decor was unique, with a neon light on the wall. Location was great, close to multiple train stations, convenience stores and even a don quiote. Korea Town is also nearby.

Local area can be rowdy in the evenings, lots of host clubs and love hotels, but expected for Kabukicho!

First time in Tokyo and stayed at Hotel Villa Fontaine Tokyo-Shinjuku. Room is kind of small but I've been told it's normal for Tokyo. For enough space, we moved some furniture and stored our luggage under the bed. Bathroom is spacious enough so no issues there. Within walking distance to Kabukicho and plenty of things to see at night. Hotel provide tons of amenities such as hot beverage sachets and even pajamas. Convenience stores are aplenty with a 7-11 right beside the hotel. A coin-operated laundry is also nearby if you wish to do laundry. Overall, a pleasant stay for our 1 week trip in Shinjuku.

The hotel is very modern, its easy to find, about 10 min walk from the JR Shin Okubo station. The Receptionists were very helpfull and polite. The area is save and a 24/7 store is right around the corner. The party area with lots of activities like indoor Gold, Baseball, Karaoke, Bowling, Cinemas and restaurants in Shinjuku can be reached in a 5 minutes walk.

The hotel is in a area with lot of Love Hotels. There are freelancers (young girls waiting for japanese customers) standing around the streets at night. They are harmless as long as you ignore them (and take it from someone who lived in tokyo years ago, do not talk to them, do never follow them as non japanese you will get riped off!)

Clean and functional room, staff friendly but check in not the smoothest although they are trying to move to self check in via computer, there always needs to be someone there to troubleshoot. Staff speak pretty acceptable english. Location is perfect, right in the center of shinjuku and also right next to where an airport limousine drop off/pick up is.

Beds and pillows hard. Room is small but what we expected for Japan. Overall, I dont think the value is there. Probably could have paid a lot less and got something similar to this hotel No room cleaning during the stay although they drop off a bag with fresh towels and robes at your door in the morning. There is a breakfast for a fee, we went to look at the food, and decided it wasnt worth buying.. typical japanese breakfast

The location was great for my visit. You are close to see alot of how alive Shinjuku and Kabukicho can get at night. The staff was really helpful and always kind. Clean rooms and a nice look on the streets below makes you feel comfortable and let you enjoy the stay even more. The bathroom was big and nicely cleaned. Complementary products were perfect. For being near Main-Kabukicho it was really safe and well maintained.

I think that there should be more availablity for trash to get taken care of then one small trashcan. In all my other stays i could use a trashbag and put it next to the trashcan. But here it got left standing there even after asking the cleaning personal. Still no big problems.

Overall excellent experience! Staff super friendly and always ready to help if needed. Room was very clean, A/C working perfectly, bed was comfortable, bathroom surprisingly was bigger than expected. Location was great and close to Shinjuku center and not crowded.

There was really nothing that we didn't like specifically. Even though location is great, you still need to walk around 15 minutes to the closest train/metro station so if you have big bags this could be a little bit of a nuisance.

Great value for money. Excellent location and room size. We got the queen size room and it was great - good bed size. Lovely big bath. Easy walk to station. Very quiet despite location - slept well every night. If you are looking for a budget hotel near Shinjuku station this is a great choice. Would happily stay again

Good sound proofing. Huge bathroom with huge tub. Very standard Japanese home bathroom. You can sit and have a comfortable shower. Great dripped coffee and have all amenities that you need Love the sleeping gown, it kept me warm. Location near to all K restaurants and a K market. There’s a Japanese local supermarket nearby as well

Location. Slightly further from centre yet still Ok. Space is slightly narrow for 2 luggage to fit
