Though it's not anywhere near from Tokyo Station, Shibuya, Shinjuku, or any major tourist spots within Tokyo, accessibility is not an issue because it's very near to the subway station and bus stops (not to mention T-CAT in Kayabacho which is a direct hub going to and coming from Narita Airport). To add, the staffs were amazing. They gave their best effort in assisting me with my queries and gave unbiased recommendations for food and most convenient way to travel to get where I wanted to go. The breakfast service was also superb! It was a combination of western and Japanese style cuisine. Also, if you missed the breakfast service, just present your ticket and they'll exchange it with a whole caramel cake. Lastly, the hotel is super near and accessible to a grocery store (just beside the subway station Monzennakacho Exit 6) and multiple house-based restaurants everywhere; hence, shortage of supplies and food will never be an issue. Overall, for me, this hotel is a better option than hotels located in Ginza, Shinjuku, among others.

If you're running late (obviously not their mistake), to get to somewhere fast, your only option is to ride a taxi. But because of the location (not along the major road of Monzennakacho), taxis will not come unless you use a taxi hailing app. It is highly recommended to install the Go App, so you can hail taxis not only from this location but anywhere across Japan (I used it in Kyoto and Osaka as well).

Great base to stay in Tokyo. Close to transport, shops and restaurants. The rooms are very clean and the towels are changed everyday. There is a drink station at the restaurant and are free to use from 14:00 onwards which was a plus to our stay. The amenity bar at the reception is exceptional as you can grab anything you need for free i.e. teas, coffee, hairbrush, toothbrush, headband etc. The bathroom is lovely. Deep bathtub if you like to soak up. We love the hightech toilet! It was a great stay for family🙂

Would be nice to have more choices of food for breakfast. I find that the menu didn't really change much during our stay. The washing machines are wonderful however, it does not dry the laundy enough hence additional cycle for the drying. Apart from that, the staffs are friendly and will try to help you with any query you have🙂

We like all the amenities, towels change every day, rooms cleaning every 3rd day. We like the complimantery drinks & the use of dining room until 10pm. We love the staffs who are very courteous & greet us every time we leave & come back to the hotel.

We would like to see more laundry options. We had 1 week stay & had to fight for the laundry machines (only 4 washer/ dryers for the whole hotel) & our clothes not even dry after 1 & 1/2 to 2 hours in the dryer. We finally had to go to the near by laundromat to have our clothes dry within 1/2 hr.

Excellent helpful staff who were very friendly and efficient at check in. It was smooth and easy and we enjoyed every minute in the hotel. The rooms were clean and well decorated and made use of the space. The bathroom products were enjoyable and the sheets and beds fresh and clean. The extra chair/bench was perfect for extra seating and the large window made us happy. The hotel breakfast was a really delicious treat with so much excellent selection. The hotel elevator was always available. All of the pre booking and booking information was helpful and the communication as well was very prompt, respectful and helpful. When I return I will definitely stay here again. Excellent hotel and staff!

They were able to hold our luggage before and after checkin which gave peace of mind for us to go exploring and shopping without bringing our luggage around. The place was clean. We had new towels daily. There was laundry available to use on floors 3 and 9 for 500yen. We didn’t need detergent. It washed and dried our clothes. Close to a station so getting around was easy.

It was one of the best hotels we stayed in, during our trips to Japan! Very clean, friendly, and helpful staff and comfortable sized room for Tokyo standards! The location was a question mark before our arrival, but when we got there, we realised that the station is 5 minutes max by foot with 2 metro lines connecting you anywhere you want. The neighbourhood is very quiet and there are many good restaurant choices all around. Also, there are a 7eleven and a Family Mart just 5 minutes away. Tip: If you plan to visit other areas after your stay here, you can ask from the reception to manage and send your suitcases to your destination! It was very easy for us to travel to Osaka and Kanazawa without suitcases, for a small fee.

The only thing I would personally change was the pillow. It's was very soft for my taste.

Location, location, and always our priority before we booked, LOCATION! Hotel was indeed beyond our expectation in all the categories ( location, services, staff, room size, comfort etc. ) you want to know before you booked. No wonder it got the score of 8.9! Hotel was near the subway station and with lots of restaurants to choose from. one that standout was a resto at the corner serving Japanese cutlet or Tonkatsu, that was one of the best we had ever tasted. Also within the vicinity were, convenience stores, a big mall, a Daiso dept store, Izakayas etc. Located in a typical japanese neighborhood, peaceful, and a quite environment. Delicious breakfast mostly Japanese style and some European meals to choose from. Hotel serves free unlimited drinks till 10 pm daily. Friendly staff and courteous. Larger room for 3 paxs bigger than the usual jap standard. Will surely stay in this hotel next time.

1. A miscommunication or lacked of communication between booking. com & hotel staff re the included breakfast in one of the rooms I booked. If not for my insistence, the price I paid for the room with free Bfast was gone! Always difficult to explain when one party doesn’t understands English. Good it had a happy ending! 2. Internet was slow!

We loved the location as it was really close to subway station, you had direct subway to Tokyo station; also there are many great restaurants nearby and shops; Room was really comfortable; the variety of cosmetics provided was large and all were great; it was great that we had a small sofa in the room; we appreciated that they provided dripping coffee in the room; Staff was helpful; they helped us book a night taxi;

Would be great to have microwave in the hotel; would be great if the staff spoke better english , they had translating devices but sometimes is quite difficult to communicate;

Richmond Hotel Monzennakacho sits right in the middle of a beautiful neighbourhood: Monzennakacho is full of character, there are some lovely restaurants all around the hotel and it is a fantastic base for those who enjoy long city walks like I do: so many picturesque trails run along river and canals, including one that will take you all the way to the Skytree. The Museum of Contemporary Art and Kiyosumi Gardens are both a short stroll away and absolutely Gorgeous. For those who don't enjoy walking, the underground station is behind the corner and very well connected to all of Tokyo. My bedroom, though it wasn't very large, had a large window with a very nice view over the neighbourhood park. The little sofa and table are an enjoyable feature. The hotel was perfectly clean and there are plenty of amenities available at reception. Recommended.

We stayed at this property twice during our trip. The first was when we arrived from our country and the second was 9 days after we arrived from Sapporo. They also allowed us to store our luggages at the premises while we were away. One thing I love about this hotel is how they went beyond what they are expected to do. During our first full day, we went to shop at Gotemba Premium outlets. My dad, realized he probably left one of our paper bags there. I seek the assistance of the front desk officer on duty at that time (she was a japanese lady who speaks in english) to assist us in calling the outlet since I thought that would be better compared to if we were the one to call due to the language barrier. She was able to explain well our concern and was able to retrieve our missing item which was then already reported to the outlet’s lost and found section. Kudos to her! I wish I was able to get her name to acknowledge her here. In terms of the room size, we booked 2 superior double rooms wherein the other one has an extra bed since we’re a family of 5. Their superior double room is perfect for 2 adults however, for a group three, it would be a little cramped already especially with the extra bed. However, i’m not expecting much with the room size since this is a standard in most Tokyo hotels and the service they provided still exceeded my expectations so room size didn’t matter that much. In addition, we were also away during the day and would be back late at night due to our jam packed itinerary. The hotel is located in a quieter neighborhood in Tokyo. There are also konbinis nearby and a train station a few minutes from the hotel premises. There are also free drinks at the lobby. All the staff gave their utmost service to all the guests. Kudos to your team, Keisei Richmond Monzennakacho.
