The locaation is great - only 2 minuttes from the main square in the historic center. It's a failrly new hotel with all the modern amenities, although it was odd that they weren't able to provide a queen-size bed, and instead gave us 2 single beds. It was a good-size room, and the bathroom also was a good size. Very quiet, with a small balcony looking up the hiil to the mansions. Paid on-site parking is a challenge to get to, but a real good amenitiy in such a touristed town. wifi/internet was great. Breakfast was standard offerings, and OK - nothing to rave about.

They have a one-way road plan through Sintra, and with the horrendous traffic in this old hillside town (and we were there second week of October!!) , it's a really difficult place to drive. The historic zone has strictly controlled traffic from early morning to evening with a large bollard blocking the last approach up to the hotel. You need to get a QR code from the hotel, to scan at a reader, to lower the bollard - it's a single-use QR code for that day, so multiple in-outs will each require their own QR code. Advice: If you choose to drive here, do not arrive at night, as driving could be hazardous.

Friendly and polite reception staff. Mattresses were medium-soft, with bouncy springs, but a topper can be installed. Nice bathrooms. Gorgeous balcony view over the valley (really one of the nicest views we saw in Sintra). Excellent location next to the National Palace. Although the basement parking was very tight and difficult to navigate, there was usually a free spot. If you come by car, make sure to read the instructions before arrival and get the QR code for the stoplight, otherwise you risk blocking traffic on a steep one-way street. Overall, good rooms and a good hotel.

The hotel feels like early 2000s and, given the price charged, could use some renovation (room furniture, vintage doors, lobby). Some of the windows in the lobby look like they haven't been washed in years (see photo). Restaurant/bar staff seem not to care about their jobs (took 15 minutes to bring the menu on a quiet afternoon, and then didn't come back to take the order - we eventually left).

The location is perfect to walk to many of the sights, or if you want to take a bus, they are a few minutes walk round the corner. Also the train station is only about a 10 minute walk away. There are loads of shops and restaurants in the area, all in walking distance. We found quite a nice small friendly restaurant, I think it was call the Bristol, by the Ale Hop shop. It was a really nice place to eat and drink, prices were fair and the staff were really friendly and informative about the area. The hotel was lovely and clean, and all the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Jaco (?) He worked in the bar area and was really kind, friendly and helpful when I was extremely ill for 2 days. On arrival I was disappointed that I was allocated a Double room, despite emailing several times in advance, and even a few days before my arrival, to request the importance of a Twin room as I was travelling with my son. However, the situation was dealt with quickly and professionally by adding an extra single bed next to the double bed, which was fine. Our room had a very nice view of the valley and we could see the castle on the hill, which was lit up at night, and Pena Palace. We also had a little balcony, but unfortunately the weather was not kind, and we didn't get the chance to sit out on it. Breakfast was very good with a good selection of fruits, juices, bread, jams, cereal, meats, milks, pastries, teas and cooked breakfast. However, we only had orange juice, tea, Cornflakes and my son enjoyed a few pastries most days, as we are not into a big breakfast. The beds were comfortable and the hotel was quiet. The bathroom had an excellent walk-in shower and toiletries. Overall, we had a wonderful time, despite the initial room mix-up, my illness and the weather, and I would definitely stay here again. Thank you to all the staff, and especially Jaco/Jaoa (?) for his kindness.

Nothing really, everything was great, maybe just the initial room mix-up, as I had to go to reception and complain, which I hate, as I am not normally that sort of person.

The hotel is located right in the heart of Sintra—directly opposite the National Palace of Sintra. There are plenty of restaurants and souvenir shops nearby, and you can easily walk to Quinta da Regaleira. For the other castles, it’s better to take a ride unless you enjoy hiking uphill. The rooms are a bit small, but still very nice. Those facing the valley offer a picturesque view—ours even had a balcony, which added to the whole experience. The terrace bar is open all day and serves good meals with a fantastic view of the valley. The reception staff is very helpful, and the rooms are kept clean. Highly recommended for everyone!

Nothing major. We usually prefer larger rooms, but this one wasn’t really small—and the hotel is definitely worth the price

Perfect location, tasty breakfast, every morning we had hot fresh backed very tasty croissants, comfortable room, good bathroom. Hotel is located only 2-3 minutes walking distance from old city. Perfect also for travels with cars. For additional price there is also some car parking space, not very much parking space, but we had car parking space every day of our staying. Personal at reception was great, very helpful young man at arrival day explained all information what we needed. We really enjoyed our staying there. All main tourist attraction we reached by foot.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful during our whole stay. Great recommendations, directions, and current information on areas closed due to recent weather event. Breakfast was an excellent start with many delicious options too! Lovely views from every window, perfect location being just steps from the bustling center (nice for a quiet room but right there when you wanted to be part of things). Next to the National Palace which was fun to tour. Would love to return some day!

We did report what seemed to be a stagnant water smell from the shower tray. We had lovely weather so a little window opening refreshed things. You can't visit Europe to experience hundreds of years of history and not understand that sometimes plumbing isn't going to be the same as new western buildings. The rain shower itself was lovely and spacious. Everything worked and was very clean.

We took our doggie pet with us and there was no fuss whatsoever from the staff. The room was comfortable and spacious, we felt at home. It is located at the heart of Sintra old centre, which enabled us to walk and discover the beautiful Sintra centre. Provided more days, we could easily have been on a number of excursions. We shall have to come back and take a ride on a carriage or in an old car or take an excursion bus, if they accept dogs.

The breakfast area was fantastic, but the choice on the buffet was a bit short. Apart from some hard-boiled eggs, fried eggs or scrambled eggs were not available. There could have been more cured ham or some other meat items. The bread choice was rather short as well. However, all of what was available was good, including coffee and tea!

Don't be put off by the outside of the hotel, the rooms are spacious and lovely. The restaurant and breakfast room have gorgeous views of the valley and palaces/villas in the hillside. It is opposite the National Palace, which is well worth visiting. Sintra is a super place to visit with historic houses, a sculpture museum and an excellent modern art museum. Thank you to the helpful and friendly reception staff and to the bar and restaurant staff for looking after us so well. The apple and cinnamon embellished gin was excellent!

I stayed for 1 week in the hotel, and even not using all the amenities it had to offer i can say that it is a perfect stay specially for families, groups and even solo travelers. The facilities were clean and comfortable. Amazing staff, always ready to help and engaging, only good things about the restaurant too. The location of the hotel facilitates trips in the beautifull town of Sintra and there is easy access to the train station 10 minutes walking from the hotel.

It was difficult to plan a trip to the tourist sites in sintra without the help of the hotel, make sure to always talk to the hotel when in need of a taxi or uber since car access to Sintra is limited to some extend.

The location was incredible. We decided to stay in Sintra to have two days to explore at a slower pace and see a few more things than you can squeeze in for the average day trip. It was the best decision. The staff were incredible - I mentioned in passing to give the nicer room with the better view to my parents as it was their 50th anniversary and when we arrived back to the room that evening there was a surprise waiting for them. It was thoughtful, unexpected, and very lovely. The breakfast was excellent - the breakfast room was busy but excellently managed and the large enough so the flow of people wasn't causing waits.

The toaster.
