The executive lounge was very nice and had a very good atmosphere. Lovely canapes and bar for the happy hour (two).

Not being warned that I would pay the bill and that they had already pre authorised my card effectively charging me twice albeit for a short period. This could have been up to 30 days, not acceptable to not be told this.

The property is beautiful and a joy to walk into. On arrival the staff were extremely helpful and friendly and our room was spacious and extremely comfortable.

I wasn’t aware that the pool and gym area were out of use - but honestly, the hotel is so nice and comfortable, I might not have made use of it anyway. The only thing that slightly frustrated me was the queue to get into breakfast - there didn’t appear to be enough staff on , so with a busy service, there were lots of tables needing clearing and it took a while to get anyone’s attention to order a coffee when you got a table. This wasn’t the staff’s fault, they were trying their best. Breakfast however, was sumptuous!

Reception staff need customer care training, they were very dry, no small chat, no personality, at one point during check in I said something tongue in chic & the reception man didn’t understand & then said “sorry, I’m naive” … that was a bit awkward. They also need to familiarise themselves with the local trendy places as he couldn’t tell me how close a steakhouse was that I was going to. He also didn’t know if I could take a drink from the main lobby bar to my room, he had to ask 2 colleagues in concierge. Re the room, there is only a handheld shower head & an overhead rainfall shower, this doesn’t suit everyone, could do with a shower stand for the handheld.

Service counters for both for check in and bag check were superb. Outstanding customer service.

The room was quite small although well equipped. The hallways seemed dark and needing carpet cleaning and fresh paint. The breakfast was well presented and tasted good, however one server had to be reminded 3 times to bring an order for coffee.

The waiter staff in for breakfast service was exceptional especially Olga whom we found out was still in training and young Maria and the manager of breakfast service Nunu they were fantastic. And the concierge and doormen Raddick, Johnny and there was a little short one we didn't get hos name but I believe he is Scottish they were bloody brilliant very very helpful, and resourceful and a great chatting and banter great sense of humour which made each day for us.

The Tiny room it was way to small for two people that are travelling for few months with all the luggage we had I had expected with the price I paid the rooms would have been bigger

The friendly staff and location the most. The historical part of the area and the house is nice. Would be great if there will be some handout in the lobby about the history of the house or more information about it.

The USB in the room did not work and it would be great to fix it and also have the new version of USB together with the old version. Best to have it next to the bed too, not only near the desk.

Staff were excellent-helpful and polite. The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast choice was very good and the dining lounge was very pleasant. The refreshments in the room were also very good.

The room appeared to not have been used in a while-the overhead shower didn't work at first but after some strenuous attempts, we did get it to work. The towels smelt a bit musty as if not changed in a while. The tv built into the bathroom wall didn't work (batteries in the remote worn out?) but that wasn't a real issue as we weren't likely to take a bath! The selection of tv channels available on the main tv was very limited for a high end hotel; no Sky or Netflix?

First things first, everyone was so friendly and accommodating. I get it, this is how customer service is supposed to work, but during my stay it never felt like the staff were trying; it was effortless for them. Our stay was to celebrate my fiancé's birthday, I left a request asking for the hotel to leave a 'Happy Birthday' message in the room, expecting a small note, or at most a small birthday card. We were greeted with luxury pillows with 'Happy Birthday' pillowcases and a slice of cake on the bedside table. Such a lovely touch. The room was clean and spacious for a couple staying one night. If there's any negative feedback it's that I did not discover this hotel sooner.
