Good night! We are some girls from Spain (Granada) that have come for a few days to London and we chose to stay at this amazing hotel. In just two days at this hotel, it has become our home, saving us from the cold streets of London. They gave us a warm welcome with a delicious hot chocolate, coffee, tea… that quickly finished because we drank it instantly. Nevertheless, the next day we had chocolate again, anda that healed our heart. As you can see in the photo (the first one) beds are huge and quite comfortable, and the TV is really modern (thank God that we haven’t stolen it), the only issue is that we couldn’t Watch la isla de las tentaciones in this tv (highly recommended, and the Chunguitos too). If you wanna try something similar to chocolate, you can try la morcilla española. In the second photo appears our bestfriend Prem: the best hotel worker in the world. He treated us so good as a mother with his newborn. That is why we wanted to compliment him because of his kindness. We were so brave that we asked him for a photo, and he said yes! Friendliness of staff; location; free wine and cheese in evening, cuteness

Size only works for one person; my husband and I had to turn sideways to get by each other in the very limited floor space..... and no light above the sink

The staff was exceptional and the lobby very comfortable. Genuinely friendly staff on all three shifts. Very attentive and eager to please. Their 24/7 food service was surprisingly good and breakfast was very reasonable. The rooms are rather small so a lot of folks hung out in the lobby and mixed. Very pleasant. The Z offered cheese and wine one evening for all guests-a lot of items from which to choose and a good mixer for guests-not the usual processed cheeses. They were always very attentive when someone appeared to need help. The staff gave advice on where to find shops, museums and transportation. The hotel is in a great location near the theater and lots of museums. The tube was less than a block away. There seemed to be a lot of repeat guests which I now understand. If room size isn't a big issue for you, you want friendly staff and if you like a hip vibe this is a good choice...even for seniors. Couldn't have been better.

No complaints. Some people seemed surprised by the small room sizes but the precise room size was listed and accurate. I chose a very small room but it was perfectly serviceable for what I needed and very quiet. It was a real bargain for London. Warning, if you have huge suitcases some of the rooms may not work for you but were fine for our two 22" suitcases and carryons. Storage is under the bed and lots of hooks on the wall for hanging stuff.

Location was amazing, you are extremely close to soho and the waterloo bridge. It was also a fairly busy street so it's not very dangerous at night if you are travelling alone. The underground is around 5 mins away by foot, so you could get anywhere fairly quickly.

My shower would make a lot of noise in order to get rid of the moisture. This is because there were no windows in my room. The noise could go on for 2 hours after you've showered. If you have a window, this might be better.

Clean, well-run, friendly. Perks such as free wine and cheese on certain nights, nice. Breakfast available for purchase. Free coffee. Good location.

Needed more hooks for towels and clothing, no place to put a suitcase. Try a fold down rack. Free wine was obviously cheaper and not as good as that on the regular menu. You had to commit to buying breakfast every morning to get the lower price, roughly $13-$14 per person. We had just arrived after a long trip, could not decide, would have had to pay more ($2-$3 more per person) if we wanted it. It was not a full breakfast anyway, although pretty generous. We ended up getting coffee, yogurt, pastry, etc. for much less nearby. We would have just preferred a smaller breakfast there for less.

I always stay at Z Hotel Holborn when I need to stay over in London. I originally stayed in the one near Leicester Square, but the one in Holborn is my personal favourite, and Holborn tube station is just as well-connected, with all the sights and sounds of the West End only a 5-10 minute walk away. On this visit, I also tried the restaurant "Viet Eats" directly opposite Z Hotel, and really recommend it for an easy supper in the area - delicious fresh Vietnamese food in a cosy, traditional setting.

I never have any complaints about Z Hotel. It is a Capsule-hotel style i.e. the rooms are very small, but they are perfectly appointed. I have only ever used them as a solo traveller - it would definitely be crowded with a partner or kids but if you get along with each other it would be no problem... Let's pray the prices stay low because it's a huge draw when everything is getting so expensive in London.

The staff went above and beyond. Great guidance and information. It was a very hot summer in London and they supplied litres of water in glass bottles all through the building. They had such convenient and delicious food availability. They were also doing maintenance on the whole water system and switched it all back on within moments so I could have a shower and get ready for an important event. From the cleaners, to the front of staff and everyone in between, they all magnificent. (thank you Ash and Andrew, wish I got everyone’s names because everyone was great).

The provided pictures were representative of the hotel and rooms. We appreciated the wine and cheese happy hour on Saturday and the multiple elevators. The location is great. The rooms have everything you need, especially when on vacation and the rooms are primarily used for sleeping and showering. The window in the room was appreciated, especially with the electronic sun shade. We felt safe and secure the entire time.

The hot water was at best warm, no matter the length of our showers. The air conditioner had a mind of its own, cycling from cooling to heating on a whim. The only way we managed to maintain cooling all night was to lower the thermostat to 65.

The location and the price is absolutely spot on! We were really impressed with the little touches like the free cold water fountain that was always available, the book swap area and the cheese and wine evening. The room was very small but it has everything you need! The design is well thought out and we felt very comfortable staying there.

As others have said, the bathroom is something that you have to get used to. It isn’t as private as some bathrooms due to just having a frosted glass door. But it wouldn’t put me off staying in the room again.

It is a great location. The price was good. It was clean and efficiently run. I was well prepared for the size of the room and the fact that there would be no windows.

It was not a great place to stay with someone. The room was small, which was fine, but the bathroom has walls of glass which makes any sort of privacy impossible. If you need to use the bathroom at night it is impossible to do without lighting up the entire room. I would stay there again by myself but sharing the room turned out to be problematic.
